I want to point out something. You guys touch money all the time? It's just as dirty as those demo units ;)

It's a lot dirtier than those demo units.

And it's not like you can't wash your hands immediately after.

Yeah... Germs and people looking over your shoulder and breathing down your back, the latter being uncomfortable. X_x

Simple fix: Have someone else play, you just stand there and watch. You only need to see to believe, not play to believe.

True. But I'm still going to wait to see it for the first time when I get my own 3DS :)

This is very tempting.....but I think I'm still gonna cling to my 3DS virginity for the special moment when I activate my own unit! I feel like the moment that I first lay eyes on the 3D display would be tarnished if it was in a public place tethered to a demo booth.

What if you find out you're one of the small group of persons who can't look 3D when you get your 3DS?

I would try it out if i could :3

Can't wait to see how long it takes for the top screen to get covered in Coke or Snot and stop working. (My Best Buy is full of kids breaking stuff. I witnessed a kid break the Kinect's lens with my own eyes.)

Thats why I buy from Gamestop and best buy is a bit of an rip-off.

They're a rip off because kids like to break expensive displays? Don't get what you're saying here.

I trust Best Buy more-so than Gamestop. I've seen prices for games and sometimes the DS games are about $5 and ocassionally $10 more than what's at Gamestop.

Example: Mario Party DS on release was $29.99 @ Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart but it was $34.99 @ Gamestop. That's one of many DS games that were priced similarly.

Gross. People I don't know.... >_<

My tolerance of strangers has dropped significantly since I started working at Taco Bell... Seriously...

Well for those of us who don't have the money, aren't spoiled, and actually have some patience, this is a good opportunity.

Wait, what? If you have patience, why would you need to go to Best Buy? It shouldn't bother you to wait until you can afford it.

So I can at least see it for myself.

Wait a minute... So, because I have a job, saved some money aside and at least have the patience- I'm spoiled? Way to low blow.

That doesn't make sense at all.

@JafriYakin

It's only ironic if you look at it one way. Let me elaborate: It's different talking to strangers on Nintendolife than it is to serve people at Taco Bell- majority with attitude. It's not to say I hate EVERYONE that comes to Taco Bell (this is the mall, just to point that out).

Now that I have elaborated, it's not as ironic as you think. If it still is, well, cool. Whatevs.

Back on topic: who has checked into their local Best Buy to see if the 3DS is set up. Maybe share your own impressions.

No what I was saying is that some people have the money, some people are spoiled, and some people just don't have patience.

Regardless if they're dirty or not, they're needed because the public needs to be informed of the Nintendo 3DS. The average consumer doesn't follow daily 3DS news like we do. If it weren't for these demos, the sales wouldn't be as high as it would. Nintendo should be getting their campaign in gear because the launch day is almost upon us!

You haven't seen what I did to my demo unit.
