@Gohanjin with the amount of content it feels like a bargain at £60. Never played this series before and I cannot put this down. Best game I have played in a long time the type of game that has made me happy I grabbed my switch 2.
Fair enough, I see your point. I would've thought the SW2 would've just brute forced improved res and frames, the only older game I playing at the moment is Thousand Year Door and I think that had a patch.
I like the SW2 much more than the old switch (non oled), ergonomics seem much better to me. Disappointed with the UI if i'm honest, could've done with a revision for a new console. However, apart from the UI and cost of games I am pretty happy.
If you have never given this a go, this series is pretty much up there for me. Really hope the online daily tournaments are on this version as that is like digital crack. Would’ve picked this up on steam deck but will definitely grab this on switch2.
@dewokkel Yep, I gave my switch away soon as my deck turned up and I just cannot see myself playing it. Before you get the pitch forks out, I had more than my monies worth out of my switch. A friend of mine has a young lad and not a lot of disposable income, it was well worth letting him have it as he is over the moon.
Hopefully they can patch out some annoying bugs like the stuttering screens and weird laggy fielder running animations. Also sort out the painful loading times and this will be Big Ants best cricket game yet.
@Nintendofan83 I think it is more to do with the fact MS cannot break into the Japanese market. Releasing xbox games onto the switch is a smart marketing move.
Can I have some of what you guys are smoking, Forza, Gears of War!! Is there a super new switch that can play games like these that I haven't heard of...
The Big Ant cricket games formally Don Bradmans Cricket... put far to many hours into these games than I would like to admit. Probably a good fit for the switch as they are not the most graphically intense games I have played.
I do love a good RPG/JRPG on a handheld.. being able to play them whist watching the sport on TV is a godsend. Loving IX and looking forward VII. Would definitely double dip on Golden and 5 if they came to the switch.
@Mossii Yes 9 is a good game, shame about the borders (expecially as they are some sort of smudge on each side) 12 is the Zodiac Age and 12-2 is the only direct sequel, but is complete pants. 7 is in my top 3 games ever (with Golden and Persona 5). They are all standalone stories and well worth checking out, even at the slightly high price.
Would be very happy with any Persona reveal.. but then I would be really happy if FFVII is announced as available. Last time I played VII was on the good old Vita, it was amazing on handheld.
@Bod2019 Have you checked all the helping aids (acceleration and not being able to fall off) have been turned off as they are on by default. You can press start on 50cc and not touch the controls and win with them on, not hyperbole, I did it.
Ports are not such a bad thing as the portability of the Switch is a good novelty.. the price gouging is an all together different issue £40 for Bayonetta 2, yeah good luck with that.
As a Switch owner in UK, I am the only owner of the console out of my gaming friends. I keep showing them my switch and telling them to get one but they are plain not interested. Some of them got burned on gamecubes lack of support the Wii's casual market grab and the WiiU being DOA. For the record I think they are missing out as it is a great bit of kit.
