They can only price things as high as people are willing to buy. In the end they may end up hurting their profits from less sales, even if they are bringing in more on each sale. It could be a turn off for a lot of buyers.
@-DEMISE- I found the game easier to play in first person mode. I don't know if it's the same in the Wii U version, but on PS4 you pressed down on the d-pad to select that.
No, the game isn't hard, unfortunately. Well, if you haven't played many games it might be fairly challenging, the last few dungeons. I remember being stuck for a while on the last dungeon.
The BEST action-RPG on the Genesis is hands-down Landstalker, which is just so memorable.
In some ways I like Immortal and Light Crusader more than Beyond Oasis / THOR, but I am a big fan of the music, which is very different and unique. I can understand the complaint that it's distracting or that it sounds muffled. Doesn't on headphones though.
The game needed more story. I'm usually the last to say that about a game, but you meet a few characters along the way, they have a few dialogue boxes, and that's about it. The game feels lonely because of that. But maybe that's what makes it interesting.
Fans of Beyond Oasis may want to look into Alcahest on the SNES.
Air Buster is another underdog worth looking into. Bland graphics and appearance, but nice exciting level design.
Fire Shark is fun, but too conservative. Actually if you take closer look (such as Classic Game Room HD did) you can see that it's a pretty f-ed up game, lol.
Oh, I forgot one, maybe two. The "Trouble Shooter" series. Definitely overlooked. The sequel that didn't come out here (Battle Mania 2?) was quite impressive. I remember the review in GameFan.
Sol Deace is actually pretty good. I always found it FRUSTRATING but after I got better at shooters over the years in a kind of de facto process of playing many difference ones, I went back to Sol Feace/Deace and found it fairly easy -- at least easy enough to get to that cool fire level at the end. Wolf Team did some of the best Mega Drive games. All of their titles are worth checking out. They are missed.
My favorite Genesis shooters are Thunder Force III, MUSHA, Gaiares. I shouldn't have praised Grey Lancer so much as I did in the readme file of project2612's music rip, but it's a pretty good game, and those Masiya folks were clever programmers.
I don't like having to use my gmail account to register / sign in for vc-reviews. You guys should fix the Hotmail registration thing. A lot of other sites I've used that require you to register work with Hotmail. It's been around for a long time.

Re: Phantasy Star II
The appeal of old games like this is the ambiguity in the items and characters.
