I admittedly didn’t do any more research besides look at screenshots and the trailer. I was hoping it was a linear game with unlockable moves kinda like Flynn: Son of Crimson.
I’ll still check it out though even if the difficulty makes me quit. I also like the “no facial features” pixel art style that games used to use.
Not totally related, but I hope one day they can make a 2.5d Castlevania where the game looks just like (or as close as possible) to the excellent 2d art. I’m sure it’ll take all kinds of magic with filters, texturing, etc.
The smoothness of the animations is giving me an uncanny valley feeling. I think they should try a Pokémon game spin-off like Persona Strikers (or assign a button to a Pokémon like Folklore for PS3).
If I had an art style choice I think something like Trials of Mana would work well
@Einherjar I know wayforward gets tired of hearing about it, but I really liked the way River City: Underground looked. It had an NES game with better animation look to it.
I love the graphics, but personally feel like the animation/game could all be sped up a bit. i watched the trailer on 1.25 speed and felt it looked better paced.

Re: Paper Cut Mansion Folds Mystery Into Paper Mario Aesthetics On Switch Next Month
@Ooyah he kinda walks like Popeye. Maybe there’s at least a sprint toggle
Re: Casio G-Shock Launch A Limited Edition Super Mario Watch, And It's Gorgeous
I’m surprised they didn’t add white spots to the red area to make it look like a mushroom
Re: Atlus Brings 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim To Nintendo Switch On 12th April 2022

Re: Action RPG 'Date-Em-Up' MAGLAM LORD Hits The West Early Next Year

Re: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Gets Confirmed Release Date, First Trailer And Screenshots
I always liked the stylized art/character designs and I’m glad they didn’t try to make them look more realistic
Re: Infernax Looks Like A Tasty And Expanded Take On The 8-Bit Castlevania Formula
@YANDMAN I know it’s common for the title screen art to be way more detailed than the actual game, but I wish the sprites had more colors and detail.
Re: Pixel Art Metroidvania 'Souldiers' Brings Puzzles, Platforming And Combat To Switch
@Remerkin Their sprites from their fan game Card Sagas Wars are amazing. I wish they got hired for a smash demake or a 2d metroid or 2d Zelda

Re: WayForward Shares First Screenshots Of River City Girls 2
@Einherjar it may just be me, but it felt like there was more to the combat as well compared to river city girls
Re: WayForward Shares First Screenshots Of River City Girls 2
@ATaco I enjoy most of the Senran Kagura games because I also enjoy musou games. The fan service feels like a lot sometimes
