Re: Poll: What Do You Think of My Nintendo and Miitomo?

@AlexMurphy

My point, was that I was trying to cut nintendo some slack. What they've made here is, in my opinion, overall well designed. Sure there are some problems with the discounts but I think consumers just need to be smart about the way they deal with it.

The idea I was trying to get across was that this particular purchase, fire emblem (on sale), gave me enough coins to get a free game. I was just openly sharing this so that people could do the same if they wanted.

I don't feel as though this purchase was a waste of my money. If I wanted to waste my money I would burn it, instead of giving it to the developers of games I feel deserve every penny. Obviously you don't see it that way.

Oh and by the way, instead of incessantly hating on every persons opinion here why not try to compose your replies in a more courteous manner to get your point across.

I recently bought fire emblem awakening for about £26 (on sale) on the eshop. I was still eligible for the 60 gold coin reward even though it was 2 places under that price bracket. I picked up metroid fusion for those 60 coins. So if my maths is correct I spent about £26 in all.

Now if I were to spend £30 on a retail copy of fire emblem (and then trade it in for about £15 at a game store) and then about £6 for metroid fusion on the eshop, I would have spent about £21 in total.

Sure I lost out on £5 but I think I would rather spend that extra money to get those games immediately without having to go through the hassle of going out, buying the game, then trading it in to get my money back.
