@Torterror Yeah, that's one of the few bad things about the game. You can increase it with Popularity Yo-kai, but it's still up to RNG. It's REALLY rewarding when you finally get the Yo-kai you've been trying to get for so long, though.

@AbsoluteZer0Nova I mean you could've called the recolors lazy I'll give you that - but the 'nyans and Komasan are all very different and not really in any way lazy. And the comparison made complete sense; Komasan isn't a cat and he doesn't look a thing like Jibanyan.

@AbsoluteZer0Nova Also, other than Goldenyan (A rare version of Robonyan) and the unreleased gemnyans, there's no Jibanyan recolors in the game. Baddinyan, Thornyan, Robonyan and Jibanyan all have different models, animations, dialogue and movesets.

@MrGawain The thing is, Yo-kai Watch exists on mobile. It's called Wibble Wobble and it's really fun.

@Mainsaile Like I said in my previous comment, there's so much content so like two or three potty humor bits isn't going to ruin the experience.

Also, the battle system was like my favorite part of the game. It's so much more engaging and fun than Pokemon. The second game apparently has a competitive scene that actually uses strategies with some of the weaker yo-kai and doesn't let you use a full team of S-ranks.

@Barbiegurl777 That's... not very nice. Don't bother these people with something they have no control over! Also, I'd say we're rather lucky. Europe had to wait FOREVER for YKW, which is a pretty big release, while we got it last year.

Wii U game is utter crap, 3DS one is okay but I didn't play it much, and the show is excellent. Overall the brand get's 6.5/10 for me.

I was playing Pokemon, but then I started playing Yo-kai Watch and completely forgot the legendary giveaways.

I like Yo-kai Watch a lot (you might be able to tell), but it probably keep having average sales here in the 'states. No matter how much and how well they localize it, it's just not as universal as Pokemon. People like me who are interested in Japanese culture, role playing games and collecting things will enjoy the game, the toys and the anime, but the vast majority will just stick to more mainstream (in the US, at least) entertainment. Hopefully, Level-5 keeps up the good work with the localization and we get more. Only time (and money) can tell.

Even though I've only bought like two WoN things, I approve of more.

@carlos82 A Gamecube release of the ROM with an emulator doesn't count. And SM64 DS totally counts. New characters, modern character designs and less flat colors. Plus mini games!

Yay, they got rid of the ugly circles under the pokemon during battle and the chibi human models. I am really loving the new graphics and general style. Also #TeamLitten #TeamMoon.
