@Broosh It's just assumed in this article that it won't wake up Switch 2, there's no confirmation yet. All previous PowerA wireless controllers can wake Switch 1. I loved their Nano wireless controllers but gave them up with my old Switch.

@AgentGuapo I'm not sure about this one and Switch 2, but all previous PowerA controllers can wake Switch 1 - I had several (regular one and a couple of nano - all wireless) exactly because of this.

@ToniK They've made a lot of improvements to new player experience since then. I can't recommend it enough - this is the fairest free to play game I've ever played. Logged 1200 hours on Switch 1 and don't know how many on Xbox, will continue on Switch 2 because it also has the best motion aiming in any game I've tried.

Can't wait so I can forget about my Xbox.

Depends on which tier of Game Pass you already have. They have separate tiers for PC, for Console or for both (Ultimate). These ROG Xbox Ally devices are Windows PCs at their core and your kid's Xbox is a console.

I'm not buying either of these. I play my Switch mostly docked, sometimes in handheld when travelling (haven't happened for a while) - so I won't get anything from OLED screen. When I saw different storage and pricing for Steam Deck, I just remembered that Doom 2016 on Switch is 16GB and the same Doom 2016 on Steam is 60GB - so I don't know who the $400 Steam Deck is for, and I'm not going to pay the price of higher storage tier because it's more than PS5 or XSX.

Sure it is there, it's like having a phone while also having a laptop. I have both Xbox and Switch. They are not competing - they are complimenting each other. For me Xbox is for AAA titles in 4K and Switch is for indies.

We'll see in the future. For now, I'll just enjoy a lot of games on my new Xbox that I was lucky to buy last friday.

I've tried it for a couple of matches but uninstalled it because of "shaky" gyro aiming and awful voice chat. I have other means to play it and it doesn't look like I'll be travelling anywhere soon.
Graphics are not a problem for me, because I've played it with low graphics settings on my previous laptop - it looked exactly the same

Game Pass is a rotating collection of games - periodically new games are added, old ones are removed. It's more like a trial to try out games before you actually buy them (you still can buy them right away if you want). Please, read about what Game Pass is before making conclusions.

Game Pass is not a store itself, it's a subscription to play about 300 games from Microsoft store without buying them but for a monthly fee.

I have Game Pass for PC and I can buy games, not only rent them. Game Pass subscription also gives me about 10% discount on games if I want to buy them. But I prefer to just play for a fee - I rarely replay games (to be true, I usually finish less than 10% of games I've played). Just look at Game Pass as a subscription for a prolonged trial and some discounts in their game store.

Do people even know what Game Pass is? No one is stopping you from buying these games. It just gives you an option to rent them if you don't want to buy them. Game Pass is also on PC, not only on Xbox.

Where did you get this info? You can buy games as much as you want. But if you don't want to buy them, you can "rent" them while they are on the Game Pass.

I've finished Outer World on Switch almost entirely in handheld mode right after release. Recently bought Peril of Gorgon expansion and already started a new game to do it again. It definitely feels smoother, but I can't say much about visuals, because I don't remember exactly how it looked like before and never saw it on PC or other consoles to compare with.

Oh, it's like reading about myself, the only difference is that I realized this about 5 years ago with my Steam collection. So, I just didn't bother when I noticed the same thing on my Switch last year.

@durr , please, go read some history aside from your school curriculum if don't want to sound racist. There were black rulers in Greece the same as there were black emperors in Rome. I'm not saying that there should be a black character everywhere, but here they are not out of place.

Started playing on Saturday afternoon, then put switch away and went to bed on Sunday morning. This one takes the best of Bastion and Transistor and put it all on steroids. Also liked the humor - was laughing non-stop first couple of hours.

@TimboSlice "play A LOT (2-3hrs per day at least?)" - this is not A LOT, imagine 1-2 hours per day and 20-25 hours per weekend I mostly play docked with pro controller, so I personally don't have any issues, but I won't dismiss them. My friend played BOTW exclusively on his switch and his joy-con started drifting.

@Agramonte I have lots of same games on Switch and Steam, as you can guess I had them on Steam earlier (even finished some of them on Steam), but had bought them for Switch when they released - just because I like to play on Switch (anywhere) much more than on my PC (at my desk at home).
Also, I think I heard them saying they remade some graphics shaders (I also hope they added gyro aiming), so it's not just a repackage for the same price as a remaster - it is a remaster, just with lower resolution textures (you will not get 4k on Switch anyway).

@TG16_IS_BAE, I think I heard they reworked some shaders, so it is a remaster, not just a repackaged original. Also, I'd expect a Switch version to have a smaller file size - you don't need 4k textures for Switch.

I hope they will modernize control scheme, motion controls will be appreciated. I stopped playing the first one because of their weird default button mapping for controller and no ability to customize it.

@NotTelevision I don't find it bland or boring. I like how dark it looks and how hard it was to play it on PC with a controller. It was especially good accompanied by my playlist of Polish dark electro

@NoTinderLife No, this one really is a murder simulator. It asks you to execute a homeless junky prisoned in your basement from the very beginning to teach you how game's mechanics works.
I like how dark this game looks. Will definitely buy it again if it comes to Switch.
