"Do you think a company that’s already made that much profit would do this just to make even more money?"
Yes, yes they would. Is he a bit of a daft or just being disingenuous? Also , he keeps saying that it is to protect the industry but how does it protect us consumers? Suck it up when they arbitrarily shut down their servers?
This is actually way better than when I had to desolder my pro controller left stick and replaced it with tmr sticks since it was drifting. Kudos to nintendo for this at least.
My original pro controller is still working fine after replacing the drifting left stick with a tmr stick (I replaced both sticks for good measure). I don't really care that much if the newer sticks feels ridiculously good, whatever that means, as long as it doesn't drift that fast.
Early adopter behavior. I'm not even sure how many cards were produced since this is a relatively new storage tech so it being sold out doesn't really mean much. Also with it being new, prices would be pretty high for the amount of storage you get but since it's a new console, people would flock to it anyways. I already learned the hard way of being an early adopter during the 3DS era so I'll just sit this one out for a few months/years just like with the OG switch.
@Wisestfool Same thing happened to my pro controller. I actually learned soldering just to replace it and now it has gulikit tmr sticks. Still waiting as well if the switch 2 support the pro controller too.
Still have a lot of backlog on my OG switch. Plus I'd wait how good the software support and lineup first and possible hardware issues rather than being an early adopter. I learned the hard way on the 3DS so when it came to the OG switch, I waited three years after the launch of the switch when the library is healthier and more clear. I'd probably do the same to the Switch 2 too.
Seems pretty decent but I'm rather cautious after the abysmal performance of RF5 on the switch. The new setting seems pretty good to me but I still prefer the previous world theme of the previous titles even though I'm a weeb myself.
Let's leave the argument about the price of the game AFTER the game is released. I mean I love my metroid but I'm still gonna wait for the reviews. If it's good then buy, if it's meh then nah. Simple as that.
It's all about the games in the end. You can have the best specs in your device but with no (good) games or continuous developer then it would just suck. If this is true and they do actually support it software wise then it would be pretty exciting and cool.
@westman98 Exactly. It's not like that they'd be losing something if any console actually succeeds. I seriously have no idea behind the mental gymnastics of the people discrediting the success of any console, not just the switch.
@zool Dude how could you say "there is little common between them) when the switch lite and switch literally has the same hardware (same cpu (mariko like the switch revision 2) and clock frequency, at least in handheld mode, same memory modules and clocks) albeit in a smaller form factor. The difference between the two are the non removable controller and the TV output hardware but all the insides are basically the same. They just removed the "docked mode" settings for the CPU and memory for obvious reasons (And if you have a hacked lite, you can even set the clock settings for the cpu in "docked mode" iirc). Just because one feature of the hardware isn't available in the revision it doesn't mean it shouldn't be included the total sales. That's like saying the 2DS shouldn't be included in the 3DS sales since it doesn't do "3D", like the PSP Go in the PSP sales since it doesn't play UMD and a different form factor altogether or the PS2 slim in the PS2 sales since it can't play all PS2 games. In the end, it's up to companies selling them on how they categorize each hardware. If they said that "new x hardware" is included in "x family of hardware" , then it shall be included whether you see it as such or not.
If it's the same style as Sword and Shield(which probably it will be) then it will be a skip for me. As much as I love nostalgia, it just ain't cutting around this time.

In touch with their fan base? Excuse me, Nintendo? Lol. Maybe with their shareholders but definitely not with their fans.
Re: Nintendo Supposedly Investigating Possible "Swollen Battery" Issue With Switch 2
@Greenspan EU coming in clutch again. I know some things are more expensive in the EU but at least consumers are protected there unlike in the US.

We can also see Nintendo's "appetite" by how they priced the game.
Re: Gearbox's Randy Pitchford Admits Borderlands 4 Might Follow Nintendo's New Pricing
After buying and playing expedition 33, I still can't understand and justify the new $80 price tag.

I wish they made a HD-2D remake of DQ4 as well. The DS remake removed the party talk feature which sucks.

@Munchlax Because people would still buy it regardless because of the Pokemon brand alone.

Still waiting for that Western release (date). Played 1 to 4 with 3 and 4 being my favorite story wise. I honestly hope that 5 will just as good.
