the first screenshot doesn’t look bad at all, really. typical Switch graphics. but then…wow, the level of detail in that second shot. it’s like you didn’t know what you were missing.
honestly, seeing those screen shots, my first thought was, what if this was Breath Of The Wild, not DKB? BOTW was the most immersive world I have ever experienced in a video game. I wonder what it would have been like had it undergone a similar transition.
also, is that Expresso the Ostrich in the background there?
as he was a corporate CEO who I never met, I was surprised at how genuinely bummed I felt when I heard of Iwata’s passing. I am the dork that reads the manuals cover to cover, including the credits, and so many of my favorite, most beloved games ended with the words “Executive Producer - Satoru Iwata”. it was a loss I felt.
@Ashina thank you for sharing the Iwata quote. it perfectly sums up why I have been a lifelong Nintendo fan. there is a certain joy and innocence to Nintendo that makes them different and has always connected with me
apologies, I know your comment is a month old, but… have you tried The Survivalists, by Team17? it has a demo on the eShop so you can get your feet wet before you take the plunge, and Team17 stuff is regularly on sale so you should be able to pick it up a little cheaper if you like it. alternatively, it’s also on Apple Arcade and can be played for free there if you have that. the touch controls were implemented really well there and I almost preferred them to the Switch.
either way, it might be right up your alley. perhaps give it a try if you haven’t already. best wishes!
what people perhaps don’t realize is that Costco, because of their business model, sells consoles almost exclusively as higher priced value-added bundles, i.e. console plus an extra controller, memory card, game, online subscription, or the like. they rarely (if ever) sell “vanilla” consoles such as you would find at a normal retailer. even if this palce holder is for the Switch 2, I would REALLY be cautious about using it to guess the base price of the console.
that said, I firmly believe Switch 2 will debut at $399 USD….with a slight chance, maybe, POSSIBLY, at $449 USD
ok, as box art, the Japanese cover just doesn’t tell you enough about the game, or do enough to sell you on it….but as a wall poster, it would be totally awesome. I really dig it
yeah….I’ve earned thousands of platinum points just from using and playing my switch….but then I never order anything because I have to pay for shipping…..

Re: Successful Kickstarter 'Kero Quest 64' Could Come To The Switch Successor
@Liam_Doolan
uh, did you mean to say “magical shards” in paragraph 5 there? I had to do a double take.
“magical sharts” are what you get from eating gas station sushi.
love the site!

Re: Nintendo Releases New EarthBound Beginnings Switch Online Icons
@Isaix uhhh, forgive me for asking, but what do I not know about Mother 3 that makes it unsuitable for Western audiences?
