@Fuecoco I’ve tried 50+ mods/hacks between Gen I-III as bases and every single one has some sort of game breaking flaw or is incomplete or is just rubbish. The only one I ever found that was halfway worth investing time into was AshGray, and even that was a glitchy incomplete mess.
Long story short I’m an older retro gamer and all I want is to be able to play the games of my youth again without having to track down an overpriced GB/GBC and even more overpriced Gen I/II carts or mess with a computer and emulators.
@Fuecoco I don’t fancy a halfway working incomplete hack/mod. What I fancy is Gen I (and hopefully eventually also II and III) to be available on Switch.
What a whack and useless presentation. They can’t possibly live far enough under a rock to be unaware of the hype surrounding today with GB/GBA launching on NSO so recently, and to not even provide a single word regarding gen I coming is just weaker than there are words to describe. I’m not an insane person who was expecting multiple generations to magically drop all at once today, but I really really thought we’d get a date or at least a quarterly window for gen I.
If those filthy communists had given us Legend of the Seven Stars on SNES it would be that. Or if/when we get any Gen I/II Pokémon on GB it will be that. But without those options it’s just the occasional game of Mario Golf on 64.
If I can trade with myself this is great, for instance playing Red and Blue at the same time and trading back and forth to get missing Pokémon and get the evolutions that can only be done via trading.
If this is going to rely on trading only with other people that is gonna be lame unless they legitimately build an entire marketplace style interface where people can post trades they are offering/looking for. But that much effort for some 25 year old Game Boy games feels like quite a stretch for how lazy Nintendo seems these days.

Re: Miyamoto Talks About Other Nintendo Movies, Says There's "Probably Nothing To Announce In The Near Future"
In all fairness they’d probably ruin a Zelda movie by making Link trans or Metroid by making Samus non-binary.
Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online Game Boy Advance Service March 9th
Oh cool another GB/GBA game that’s not Pokémon. Thanks Nintendo.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Pokémon Presents, Then?
Literally worthless presentation.
TPC flopped harder than a level 19 Magikarp today

This way they can track all the sleep people are losing over them refusing to even speak a word of at least Gen I on Switch.

Re: Feature: 22 Game Boy Advance Games We'd Love To See Added To Nintendo Switch Online
First you leave the Gen I Pokémon games off the OG GB list then you don’t even put the remakes on the GBA list?
We’re fighting now.
Re: Feature: 19 Game Boy Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch Online
You really just gonna leave the OG Pokémon games off here? What kind of communist bs is that?
Re: Game Boy And GBA Coming To Switch Online Today
GB and GBA without a single core Pokémon game even on the incoming list? Cool.
Oh wait.
I mixed up cool and lame af again.
