@shingi_70 : I know they weren't! It was a dumb joke: I heard that WWDC would be across the street from the E3 presentation. Also, even though Nintendo isn't making an 'iPhone', they probably see themselves in competition with Apple from an entertainment software, pricing, and service point of view.
Prediction: the Wii U will start at 299.99 usd! I think the control will probably be $99, too.. would be very interesting if it were $80 - $90! But they probably aren't expecting it to make as much as current Wii controls..
Nintendo had the best E3 presentation by far. [They either beat, - or tied with Apple imho.] The Wii U control will be alot more interesting than it seems, once more are able to try it.. That said, it also depends on power method and battery life.
Also, 1 question: Will the Wii U controller be compatible with current gen. Wii?

@Sean Aaron: cool previews/blog, btw. maybe we should all just get JP Wiis! that would even out VC for sure.
always being extremely curious, must ask: is 'robots', that is, general robotic development/use, really that 'central' to JP culture; or, could it be the subjective/psychological relationship that may run parallel to it? (an e.g.)
much like auto-parts/factories relate 1900s to [roughly] present US music + other literature (e.g. chuck berry, wiliam s. burroughs, rich boy, iggy pop, ect.) [though, the difference being, cars are more 'in use'.]
*i'll try: no, sir. the point is: the general relationship of NA peoples to 'robotics' is not only about violence + 'null' interaction; e.g. exposure in a delicate fields like military/civilian medical districts as well as, now, retail**.. it's not one-sided, it's varied.
*just because you've had trouble reading it, doesn't mean it makes no sense (i.e. french, italian, german, ect.)
**remember, vast majority of things developed for civilian use (Jeans, T-shirts, TVs, VGs,ect.) came from the Military, + NASA adaption.. so, in a way, they are all POP culture lol
another note: have you seen B.E.A.R.(yes, it's real lol)? anyone who's rescued by one of these things is bound to have been very deeply 'impressed'.. hence they have made a very deep impact, yet again, on XXI century culture. [typography/linguistics aren't one-sided either.]
@AlexSays: ummm.. robots are [fortunately, or not] as much a part of N.American culture as part of any other; not just killing.
lest we forget, Robots have been working in NA hospitals/medical district for the last decade or so.. UNIQLO will have them in NA stores also, so the relationship isn't that far-fetched lol
though, the general relationship in NA is kind of wary (probably rightly so), the idea that NA peoples are some how completely alien to a culture that they've mostly developed is kind of.. strange? lol
unless you call the 5 owners of NA media, 'the american' people, -- but, that would be crazy, no? lol also, these robot-monuments, aren't they really monument to 'golem-mythos' of JP development history? + alot of those did kill things [save, Atom].
@Yatesy: very true. although, we'll probably never know just how many developers were 'unconvincing'+refused/unreleased + what happens afterward.. also, sure alot of IPs have been absorbed by bigger companies once the past holders are out-of-business; that shouldn't be too hard to track down.
@Taraka: well put! though, could it really be public, or would it take private investment? what form would that take? Creative Commons ?
@Captain_Konami: unfortunately, completely agree!!!!!!!!!(lol especially the recent purchases*! cool playlist.) why don't they focus?! are they really that lazy?! or, overly bureaucratic (that is, meticulously lazy!).
@Jasco: FF7 + Ehrgeiz may be released on PSNetwork, --hopefully this year.. Ehrgeiz was already released in JP; heard SCEA was trying to get more content released in US. of course, no hope with VC though.
@Shadx: don't think Sega actually 'screwed' themselves with the consoles.. they've developed a large 'cult' pretty much! [is it because they died young? lol] not to mention their great ideas/content* + their willingness to not become another EA**, ect.,. what 'destroyed' them was not only PS2, but the combination of losing their main financier(alot was probably unresolved also)! after the major financial losses, theres the dissolution under Sammy in 2004. Nintendo didn't save anything at all, unfortunately.. so alot of their brain-trust (that is, actual Sega) is gone.
**no offense to EA, ect., but it's no coincidence that the over all 'interest' of VGs is not really what it could be; the vast majority are extremely boring. *like to see Nintendo conceive something [aesthetically] on the level of Cosmic Smash. gameplay-wise, it's 'dead simple' (tennis/pong/squash + break out), but wonder if they can really match something like that.. [just speculation].
Sega definitely couldn't live up to the megadrive/genesis games! the real Sonic team has been dissolved for awhile now; Sega [currently] is really almost useless..
[actually think they were on the right track with Sonic adventures + pocket adventures (ngpc) which is actually just Sonic 2 lol]
hmm.. think Nintendo wants to make space for other contributers on Wiiware + probably focus on retail release [--though a Game&Watch remake +/OR MarioPaint on wiiware should certainly be welcome]. maybe they should:
occasionally, create small teams from their R&D base with the best ideas to make wiiware.(pretty sure they have lots of unused ideas; some should work!). +
BE MORE DISCRIMINATING (why the garbage?!) Wii users want to trust Nintendo's 'taste level'..
--as for 'system sellers', [probably a generalization but] PS3 has better than Ratchet&Clank (LittleBigPlanet, Echochrome, SirenBloodCurse,Mainichi Issho,Ico series,のびのびBOY! for others: Home ect.,ect.).
@Yatesy: think you'd have to put more of the pressure on Nintendo. not sure who takes the bigger risk (the IP owner, or the publisher, ect.) but, ultimately, it will come down to Nintendo [--who usually either delays it, or dosen't release it at all].*
wonder if they realize the 'pride-of-ownership' + fun ppl have 'building' a good collection.... (hence, probably, iTunes' success)
more KoFs* (up to 2003 all on NEOGEO!!!!),or Last Blade 1/2*
maybe SF Alpha 1/2*, MegaMan X series even?
personal favorites, Wonder Project + Pulseman (Sega Genesis/MegaDriver)
[Various] there's quite a few great 'imports' on SNES + Sega consoles.... (too many!)
+, of course, RENT-A-HERO + MARIO PAINT** !!!!!
*of course pending they fix some sort of control response problem.... **or, make a new version for Wiiware / DS.
..also, it's really not fair that JP region has SO many games (+ better quality at that!) than the others; THEY pay for their games just like JP does, THEY anticipate releases just like JP does.. what if books/information were released like this? we'd hardly have any idea of other places! [it's not that difficult!]
*of course never expected SF4/HD on Wii *also, think its obvious to [probably] most that Nintendo has 'mis-managed' VC.. personally, don't think they care very much.. +/or, maybe don't listen to their staff for any ideas.. they seem pretty dull/dumb.
wish they could consolidate DSiware and DSi with the standard DS+Lite. so many ppl are going to be put off of buying a DSi + they probably had to strategically postpone release.. [also, the future price gouging problem, boring 0.3mp digital lens, + no GBA is another reason] . other than that, Nintendo seems to get alittle more what SONY handheld is lacking. PSP doesn't seem as fun.. (maybe they should focus on PSP as the new PS2 lol)
cool idea+prizes, but not completely [of course.] why aren't all the VC titles acceptable? also, adding Club Nintendo™ to the Nintendo Channel [--or something similar on the Wii™/DSi™] would make registration more convenient [probably].
would actually ♥ Leiji Matsumoto, ect. stuff for wii! hmmm.. therein [again] lies the rub with nintendo, not that they probably won't release these things over here.. but, that they don't really counter-balance it with another idea.
lol praise my 6th sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!! right on time.
a few sentences should suffice lol + here they r: the speaker is hardly american [if you couldn't tell, don't 'forgive' them]. KoF 94 on PS2/PSP/PS3, ect. works just fine(its about response). see: Form v. Content. + all is forgiven (prob being used to efficiency affects personality i.e. form v. content)
@Paul-B: 1. never said ever Wii needed 'HD'. was responding to "btw.... what a load of crap that pr guy spouts should say "we don't really want nintendo getting money from our game if it's wiiware", --it could never be viable WIIWARE because of the space issue.. as disk, they probably shouldn't risk it because not only market/cost concerns, but also the kind of specific gameplay makes the Wii controls feel alittle unresponsive.. (like KoF'94 on VC for example).
2. "secondly wii gfx are way past ff12 u muppet, what are you smoking." suppose that is a matter of opinion, having played FF12 on a good screen. one thing not left up to opinion is FF12's level of graphic design which isn't seen on the Wii.
3."thirdly have a look at the ps3/360 titles to date 3/4 of them are sequals to ps2/xbox games" ... sometimes a series is successful, which warrants further installment/invention. lol
4. we all bought Wiis for the reason stated, but the '?' is if its really up to its potential. as for "not following the money trail." ... how is it not? they see alot of gross, true, but who cares when it's not adequately reinvested in the Wii itself. lol personally, don't care how much it sold for --a much more affordable console is easier to purchase. (most got a Wii before a PS3/XBOX) alot of other companies take way more financial risk than nintendo, so thats probably not really it's impressive point..
5. "erm yes motion control has been around for decades, but not incorporated into a consoles main use." true, but it felt was more of a 'tactic' than a "new idea". like VC, a good asset, [which is Legal,] but not very effective when they stall so many releases + still not only region-lock content, but rarely release previously unseen content..(sometimes understandable, but are they really going to release a "Wonder Project"*? would be nice, but will they?) nintendo did make 3rd on 'most innovatve ' list, but they do have faults also (i.e. '3rd') . also, wonder if 'new developers' are really altogether impressed.. any console has BEEN 'revolutionary', but stop when they provoke arbitrary 'revolution'.. (i.e. PS or XBOX also)
6. this is a free world (for most) but, please watch what you say ("right plank", "u muppet, what are you smoking." ect., ect.) especially when you so inadequately grasp a response, completely missing it. there is no need to over-compensate. had one been that backwards, it would have been warranted, but please do be more comprehensive in the future. thank you. lol
@Objection_Blaster: hmmm.. imo, SCEI titles of the last decade or more have [for the most part] been pretty good quality ( as of recent: Echochrome, Siren Blood Curse, *The Last Guy, Mainichi Issho + of course LBP ect., ect..) . glad nintendo makes cool 'first-party' things also.( still ♥ Super Paper Mario! lol ) [edit: true, threw the word 'none' in there. sry! lol]
@BigKing: exactly! Tatsunoko VS. Capcom (pending licensing issues) should be amazing enough. [also, have to agree, Dreamcast is m favorite console ever! lol] ~end.
@Paul-B: uhh, the PS3 file alone for SF|HD + BC:R is more than the Wii has altogether.. + then theres the content, which is too much! as far as 'revolutionary', strictly graphic-wise, put any Wii title next to FF12 (PS2 has longevity for that reason) ect..
@AlexSays: is Wii really so revolutionary? motion control has been around for decades.. [literally]. PR-wise, they definitely aren't doing anything interesting.. as for WiiWare, while a good idea, is hardly new + the application is ineffective. ( the better application would probably be a mix of current WiiWare idea with some the tenets of Game Yaroze! ) at this point, the only way Wii could really constitute + bring about any major or fundamental change would be to 'Fundamentally' invest(not just financially) in their R&D base.. but, maybe they/Iwata-san would feel less 'in control'. lol

(i.e. PS or XBOX also)
6. this is a free world (for most) but, please watch what you say ("right plank", "u muppet, what are you smoking." ect., ect.) especially when you so inadequately grasp a response, completely missing it. there is no need to over-compensate. had one been that backwards, it would have been warranted, but please do be more comprehensive in the future. thank you. lol
Re: Capcom: No Street Fighter II HD or Bionic Commando Rearmed for WiiWare
[also, have to agree, Dreamcast is m favorite console ever! lol] ~end.
Re: Capcom: No Street Fighter II HD or Bionic Commando Rearmed for WiiWare
@Paul-B: uhh, the PS3 file alone for SF|HD + BC:R is more than the Wii has altogether.. + then theres the content, which is too much! as far as 'revolutionary', strictly graphic-wise, put any Wii title next to FF12 (PS2 has longevity for that reason) ect..
@AlexSays: is Wii really so revolutionary? motion control has been around for decades.. [literally]. PR-wise, they definitely aren't doing anything interesting.. as for WiiWare, while a good idea, is hardly new + the application is ineffective. ( the better application would probably be a mix of current WiiWare idea with some the tenets of Game Yaroze! ) at this point, the only way Wii could really constitute + bring about any major or fundamental change would be to 'Fundamentally' invest(not just financially) in their R&D base.. but, maybe they/Iwata-san would feel less 'in control'. lol
Wii is cool, but not showing its real potential.
Re: Capcom: No Street Fighter II HD or Bionic Commando Rearmed for WiiWare
of course they would never fit!
