To be fair guys none of us have played it yet (I don't think) and from what I've read about this new GTA game it really does sound like the next best thing since sliced bread. Guess I can't tell you until I've seen everything the game has to offer like I have done with OOT - but my journey starts midnight tonight.

I kept this article sparse for one reason only: shock. Where are the hotties?

I dunno if it's just me but that announcement wouldn't excite me as much as it SHOULD given the way Reggie hyped up things.

This game could be so awesome. This has gotta be the best viral marketing tactics EVER. Even better than that ilovebees bull.

I think it takes a few minutes to process seeing as how we just had a nice little game of Battle.

I don't think this will be the big announcement - but it will certainly be an awesome announcement to build up to the big 'un.

And if anyone was wondering here's my mini-review of what I've played so far:

• Wii Wheel is excellent but if you want to be challenging the record times you'll be needing to use a controller. The Wheel just lacks a TINY bit of accuracy.
• The gameplay is perfect as ever. Plays like a better version of the DS game. I prefer drifting the way they are now.
• Online mode is flawless although I have been disconnected twice for no real reason now. Matches players extremely fast. No lag. Good ranking system. Minus the fact that there is no voice chat and no easy way to meet up with friends this is AS good as XBOX Live. Shame the hardware is missing those fundamental online features that the XBOX boasts.
• My pet hate are the bikes at the moment. They don't seem to handle well - are a nightmare to drift and the players that have sussed out the when to and when not to wheelie tactics have already set unachievable scores in the time trial leaderboards. Darn you Japan.

All in all (and I'm still getting to grips with the game) it's very good. Expect a full indepth review on the site very soon.

The 2D bits look great. The sections where the game goes "behind" Sonic look fiddly.

They need to spend a lot of time getting the sensitivity of the analogue stick just right - it's always been the problem with 3D sonic games - given the speed the game runs at just knocking the analogue stick has always caused Sonic to move too much I found.

I'm excited about this one though - seems like they've listened to the media and fans response on the recent Sonic games and they appear to be doing what they should have done a long time ago.

Given that this is waht the media have craved for such a long time I still expect them to pan this - given the gameplay is of a "dated" style.

All the same this could be a return to form for Sonic. Longevity issues could be a problem aswell though so SEGA have still got to do a helluva lot to convince me given their poor track record of late.

Nah - the last good RARE game dates back to N64? That was 10 years ago now.

Anything they've put out on the XBOX hasn't been anywhere near as good as their glory days.

Actually you know what the more I think about this - the more irritated I'm getting. If this turns out to be true surely everyone will realise it's a blatant attempt to try and claw back at Nintendo's success - by blatantly ripping them off?

It was bound to happen. I just expected it to be NEXT generation. The Sixaxis is horrible though.

It looks insanely fiddly to me. But yes - Guitar Hero is an insanely big franchise now.

This could be huge. I hope it's something can't even think of. Wii Fit was totally out of the blue last year (as in it had everyone shocked when they unveiled it) and I hope this is no different.

The "gamers will be excited" comment makes me lean towards Animal Crossing though.

The Wi-Fi will be Nintendo's servers I guess. One of the reasons I'm kinda glad the UK iteration is out last (all problems should be ironed out by then).

Enjoyable review. Still not sure I'm likely to pick this one up though because of the price tag.

Gamespot hate the Wii too. In fact there's quite a lot of sites out there that obviously hate what the concept of the Wii and what it stands for. It's pretty unfair and if you look back at other entries on Kotaku you'd see that he/they are not big fans.

HOWEVVVVVVER - for them to give Wii Fit such glowing praise as this it's already proved one of the haters wrong so hopefully tons more are to follow.

I think this game looks quite good. A £20 price tag and it could be a cute little release.

It's a pretty staggering achievement from Nintendo so far so you're probably right.

Nintendo are doing brilliantly. It's such a shame all the so called "fans" have turned against Nintendo now they've found success.

Expect stronger PS3 sales come the launch of GTA4 and Metal Gear.

Some of the character models for this game look seriously suspect.

I really don't get the problem. Europe has always had to wait. It's no different this generation except we are getting two of Nintendo's other huge releases to compensate?
