Re: Wii U Price Cut Isn't in Nintendo's Plans

"With Wii U, we have taken a rather resolute stance in pricing it below its manufacturing cost, so we are not planning to perform a markdown. I would like to make this point absolutely clear."

Wait, so does this mean it already is below its manufacturing cost or they are stating they will not price it below its manufacturing cost?

Great video! Haha the guard's face is priceless.

And who cares that a girl is playing Link in this video? Seeing as she's basically playing "make believe" I really don't see how her being a girl matters in this video. It was made for fun, she's just playing a part. Besides it's not uncommon for a girl to play a boy or a young man. For example, Peter Pan is traditionally played by a girl.

@grimbldoo LOL I'm not sure what you mean by "but he doesn't have to look like he's been stuck in the couch cushions for a few years"? Some clarification might be needed here cause I've found some pretty awesome things in my couch cushions over the years.... ;p

The great thing though about fan art is that it let's an artist apply their own unique style to something that's already been created. That's why I love fan art, you get to see some of your favorite things from so many different points of view. That's how I'm seeing these pieces - just as fan art, just for fun.

Annnnd now all of this has me wanting to browse through some Zelda fan art for a few hours!

Great art, I love the grittiness to it. I also like the realism, abandons any sense of a cartoony look. Not that there is anything wrong with that look, just nice to see something different from the norm.

This is great as fan art but I doubt we'll see anything like this in a game. Which is probably for the best, the Zelda games are better as games that can be enjoyed by pretty much all ages - not just adults.

@True_Hero I think Nintendo has some of the best customer service out there! Every time I've had to call them about something (dating back to the 90s here) the conversation always ended with me pleased. They may not be super great at some other things but I do think their customer service is top notch.
