@solcross Like I said, you have to do that for every person you're following who's posted since you last checked, and you may not even get anything out of it. And to be clear, it loads a separate page to show their posts. It's not a snappy dropdown or anything. If you want to keep up with any significant amount of users, this is going to waste a lot of your time.
The problem with this is that there's no indication of how many posts someone has made since you were last on. So if every person you're following has made one new post, you have to click through to aaalllll of their profiles just to check if they've made any others. That's pretty terrible, I have to say. This clearly should have been optional and I hope they rectify that.
Ooh, Mario amiibo are on GAME now? Off to order Toad!
They've got their pricing backwards if you ask me. Charge more for the less popular characters - fans will be willing to pay! (On the other hand, please don't.)
In the long term, it probably does make sense for Nintendo to produce a zillion Links and not many Nesses. The most famous characters will appeal more to less devoted fans who don't snap things up right away, so they'll just keep on selling. But hardcore fans do create a lot of short-term demand for the lesser-known characters, and it seems that's what Nintendo failed to anticipate.
Curiously enough, the "1 per customer" icon has been gradually spreading across the amiibo page for the last hour or so; it covers all the figures (but not bundles) now, but it took a while. In fact, it didn't appear on some of the figures until AFTER they were already sold out. We appreciate the thought, Nintendo...
It depends what you're playing, but yeah, the volume can be an issue.
I do appreciate Nintendo's effort to protect our eardrums though. A lot of MP3 players should not be allowed to go as loud as they do. They just went a little too far in the other direction, I guess.
It's not like we can't do this at all - I've got my SD card loaded up with songs to listen to in the 3DS music player. Having a service like that would certainly be a plus, though.
Capcom have ALWAYS been like this, guys. Ever hear about how Keiji Inafune had to make Mega Man 2 on his own time, because the first game didn't sell enough? It's ironic how that very same attitude has now brought that very same series to a halt.
Forcing an update doesn't seem possible to me. Even if they distributed a SpotPass update to run automatically, people could simply start the game up while offline, then go online to use Miiverse. So this is probably the end of it, sadly.
Forgive me for drifting off topic a little, but... Ace Mathician was a bit rubbish if you ask me. I 100% finished it in less than an hour and didn't have all that much fun doing so. Some of the levels can be trivialised by doing stuff like jumping over the top of the screen, as if the developers somehow didn't think of that, and the math aspect just totally falls flat for me. All you're really doing is moving platforms back and forth, which doesn't require a whole lot of thinking, especially since you can just trial-and-error it.
This game sounds like more fun, albeit perhaps only with two players. At the very least, it requires you to actually do math.
@yuwarite Disregarding your pot shots at me, there's simply no point in obtaining the music online when I will own the game and have it with me at all times. To be fair, though, I will agree that Nintendo should be selling more soundtracks online. That's just easy money right there.
@yuwarite One, I don't even have a smartphone - they are not a necessity, you know. Two, not everywhere has free wi-fi. Three, using YouTube is obviously not going to be as convenient as the game's own music player.
@SkywardLink98 Pretty sure Theatrythm's muisc gallery does play in sleep mode if you have headphones plugged in.
As I think we've established by now, this is a pretty standard 3DS feature, and I for one would have been quite surprised if Smash Bros. didn't have it.
@Haywired It's not just about progression. Watching a good player shows you how to do better at the game. Right now a lot of Rayman Legends challenge players are wishing they could see videos of how the best players set lightning fast times, so they could learn to do it themselves. So I think this feature will help some people with Mario Kart.
The whole reason I bought the first Jett Rocket was because there aren't enough 3D platformers these days, whereas sidescrollers are a dime a dozen. So I'm glad to hear this news, because I probably would have passed on the game otherwise.
The few people who have actually finished Zelda 2 should recall that a character later on in the game tells you to go talk to Error, who will give you a hint about the next temple. So no, it's not a mistake - the guy just has a weird name.

@Sean_Aaron ...I'm following people because I want to see their posts.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Kicks Off amiibo Pre-Orders for Wave 4
@RupeeClock That'd be my guess. I expected Ness to sell out in a hurry not because he's popular, but because he's from an obscure game.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Kicks Off amiibo Pre-Orders for Wave 4
Got my Ness preorder in on time. Phew.

Remember, folks, the game has a report function. I'm sure the admins wouldn't hesitate to ban people for this.

@Kit Speakers? No, no, you hook up headphones and listen to it in sleep mode.

My first thought was "oh my god you can pocket the tree". Not only is this hilarious, it would make one heck of a team strategy!

Re: Rhythm Hunter: HarmoKnight Is Almost as Big as New Super Mario Bros. 2
Mighty Switch Force is about 1800 blocks for some reason. So a big download does not necessarily mean a big game.
