It means we're all cooked. Look forward to bricked consoles and the like. Hopefully my cartridges won't be affected, but I'm pretty sure if Nintendo wants, my Switch 2 can be rendered inert at any time. Can't get my PlayStation though. Unless there's an update that bricks my console off a disc...

@FrenchVaniIIuxe Hundred Line was my most played game with a bullet. 185 hours, thereabouts.

I, for one, am very curious about this. My 8bitdo Ultimate 2Cs are doing all the heavy lifting for me, but I'm always tempted to get something better. Perhaps during a sale....

I'd like to, but my 8bitdo controllers are a third of the price and have hall effect sticks.... Also, I don't think the joycons can be bought alone. I think they require the charging grip to be functional.

@topher6490 Never change. Well, gradually change as necessary. It's hard not to be sold on these games that people gush about, but you need to take multiple viewpoints to determine if it will be right for you. I've bought many a game I regret because they sounded so good...

I love the Alternative Awards!! I get not dragging an awards season for clicks, but it's so much fun seeing more games just under the mainstream get seen! Not necessarily better or worse than the premium Game Awards, but more win for the consumer!

Stardew Valley just dropped its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition yesterday. The test is wrong. Silksong, Kirby Forgotten Lands, Metroid Prime 4, BotW, TotK, Jamboree, Ball x Pit....

Pissed. I didn't miss it, I just didn't jump on it. I have the game physically, but wanted to know its performance on the system or MicroSD Express. I saw videos, but wanted to try. Oh well, it'll get back there eventually.

I love Cronos. I'm anticipating a third playthrough. I was sad to see the difficulty change, then realized I must be one of THOSE people. But I love this game so much, I thought maybe an arcade mode or something was being added. An Intergrade dlc, if you will, that might show where this title is going next.
But a difficulty adjustment that makes an extra easy mode? If it gets more people playing. How about during the same update, you bring an extra hard mode?

@DashKappei Your point makes sense, I'm just saying that we are commenters on an article on a video game website. If someone accepts the limitations that a portable console has, I don't think it's right to say they are gaslighting everyone else. For example, I'm looking forward to Pragmata and I have since the beginning. I preordered a PS5 copy, but I would like to try it on the Switch 2. There are games I will only buy on PlayStation. But since this is a Nintendo forum, I come here for Nintendo details.
Criticisms are welcome by me. It's been this forum that informs me what is or is not a game key-card, and we definitely have apologists for those cards.
You likely never planned to stop posting but your posts are important. I only hope that my posts provide people with ideas as yours do. But I still don't think we need to attack each other over the limitations we accept. It's sad that System Shock has so many problems. But I fear this problem is about to get much worse... In 2026.

@PushMyGran86 I wonder what having the Switch 2 dev kit was like for them. They are Nightdive. Perhaps the kits aren't very compatible or that they used most of their expertise doing something else. Who ports the port studio? Or maybe it all just sucks and was gonna suck from day one. Switch 2: the port and patch system.

I will get this, but I'm waiting. I have way too much right now, it gets an "anticipated" marker in my book.

@shonenjump86 I have the demo if I get bored, but there's no complete edition. Incredibly long story short, my PS5 is permanently offline. So I need completed games to play them. Although that didn't stop me from loving Cronos: The New Dawn, warts and all.

While we're at it, I'd like a Complete Alan Wake 2, and Elden Ring and.... Probably some others. Baldur's Gate 3!! I'd say Cyberpunk 2077, but I have it on Switch 2 now.

@Teksette You seem to be looking for escape rather than "an experience". Have you tried Lego Voyagers? I've been looking at that to play but everyone around me dislikes videogames. It's sad really. So I'll play the sad dad games 😹

@geox30 All the games are expensive. We can only pick and choose what to support. Or do you wish for Nintendo to do a Game Pass?

@MathByThePixel I'm sorry you feel this way. I agree with conservation, but the Indies have been pretty great. Not all great, Switch 2 Edition debacle aside, but I'm happy I bought in when I did because this console will be my last for a while.

I've come back around to say that I absolutely loved the first game, no question at all. I plan on buying the ultimate version of this, but a little birdy may have said that it goes on discount around Christmas....

I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2. Playing through the prologue still, but having a good time (again). I wanted to say something about the frame rate. Idk about these other games, but I think I'm running Cyberpunk at 30-40fps, and I feel like it's something about the portable nature or the Switch 2's screen, but the game looks more cinematic than when I played it at 60fps on PS5. I need to do a back to back comparison, but I think the Switch 2 has something that makes 30fps look gorgeous. Any sacrifices made for Cyberpunk or for FFVII Remake Intergrade will not be missed if you're traveling and playing these.

All in. All I needed was the first trailer.

Slow down guys. I've only seen forty endings from Hundred Line...

Finally! I've been dreaming about all those 2023 Indies that haven't hit yet. Much better day one option than Borderlands 4. Just patiently waiting on you, Moon Studios and Supergiant Games...

I'm just annoyed at people for not picking up on Nintendo's obvious rosy outlook for the Switch 2. Just that fact. I'm happy it's been a success, and I'm waiting for those patches... But why say "we'll have enough" knowing that such a proclamation is impossible? Or is that the business strategy?

Anyone else worried about LN 3? And where the heck are all the Switch 2 patches!?

@JohnnyMind I think the Switch 2 is terrible for physical games. I do hope you grabbed the Switch 1 version, or you'll have a key card. But I just bought this digitally. Still on Hundred Line.

I'm not a Mario Kart enthusiast, but I got really excited for this one. I likened it to Mario Kart 64 when I was talking about it (the last Mario Kart I thoroughly enjoyed). The game doesn't suck, it's just complicated to me with all the racers and vehicle choice, only for almost none of it seeming to matter on these courses. Free Roam feels nice to me, because I never realized MK was basically four buttons to control. I have yet to grasp the driving mechanics. I did buy Fast RMX and that game has a better hook, not gonna lie. Every mechanic is easier and for some reason, you can fuse all the vehicles together two at a time. I'm quite interested.

The reason I got the Switch 2 was to tackle my backlog with greater ease, and I'm proud to say it succeeds in that metric to a high degree. I just started Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, and I can already tell this one is special.

I've not heard of any censorship and I beat the game. I loved it. I'm trying to get all the endings now. Then on to Promise Mascot Agency.
