GAME are unbelievable. Jacking up the price to £14.99 from £10.99 is completely ridiculous, and I stand by my decision to never order from them again. It's an unjustifiable price increase, as far as I can see.
If they're going down the DLC route for X, I'd like them to take an approach similar to Fallout 3. Huge main game with tons of stuff to do, with DLC that adds one or two new areas, a new storyline, and quests. Point Lookout is a great piece of DLC, in my opinion.
Anyone who hasn't got the 3D World soundtrack yet should get on it asap, it's such a good ost. Already have both, though, so I'm praying for a Mario Kart 8 CD to come before September.
As Melia says, the exploration system in X "represents no problem whatsoever." However, Reyn is quite wrong when he states that "This won't take long!" because it looks like it probably will.
Can Nintendo just buy Sega and put Sonic in actually good games? I'm thinking a Rayman Origins-type game for Sonic at the moment - a new art style, old-school 2D platforming but modernised.
Not sure whether decreasing the amount spent on advertising is a good idea...As a Mad Men fanatic, it seems that lots of advertising = lots of profit! I have yet to see a TV advert for anything Wii U related here in the UK, which seems unthinkable giving that the console's been out over two years.
Even if the total number of Wii U's sold doesn't match up to its competitors, the attach rate for a lot of the games will be very high by the end of its life-cycle. People will still be buying Smash, Mario Kart etc in two or three years time if they haven't already. The Amiibos will also provide a steady stream of revenue - as long as they don't discontinue any, I'm happy.
There are enough games on the PS3, 360 and Wii U to keep me more than satisfied for the time being. Immense back catalogues and so far nothing that makes me want to immediately go and grab a PS4 or a XB1.
Any advertising is good advertising for Nintendo, so I'm behind this, even if I don't necessarily like the band. Tomodachi Life is selling pretty well anyway, so giving an extra push to it can't be a bad thing.
I probably won't buy it again. Already completed it twice, and can't justify £7 for a HD reskin. If they'd added new content, perhaps another area to mine, sidequests etc, but for a barebones texture update I will pass.
If any Nintendo system is having a drought, it's the 3DS. I've bought precisely two games for it in 2014: Fallblox and Squids Odyssey, only one of which was actually released this year.
Well, put it this way: after the incredible year of games the 3DS had last year, I haven't bought any physical title for the system yet this year (bought Fallblox and Squids Odyssey on the eShop). They really did need some quality titles this year, and I don't think a Kirby game and a left-field life sim are A+ titles. Although Tomodachi Life is selling well, I simply haven't found a reason to buy any physical 3DS game this year so far.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 1st April
Have to admit I'm worried about the pricing for the Smash DLC. A bundle of all the DLC would be good, a la MK8, but individually they're quite dear.
Re: Video: Bask in the Glow of These Live Performances from the Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Soundtrack
Such an amazing soundtrack. Engage the Enemy is so beautiful and appears in so many emotive moments in the story.

A Wii U version would be sweet!
Re: Splatoon Updates Give More Insight Into Stages, Plaza and Item Stores
Really hope that the single player campaign is fully fleshed out, and that there are plenty of game modes/ customization options for the online.
Re: GAME Selling Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Console Bundle for £159.99, Today Only
That is a pretty damn good price, especially for a game that will last hundreds of hours.

Re: Weirdness: Zac Efron Issues "Settle It In Smash" Ultimatum As Nintendo Enlists Celebrities To Promote Wii U Brawler
Any press is good press. Maybe a few more sales that wouldn't have otherwise been had can come from this.
Re: Eiji Aonuma Wants Mario Kart 8's DLC Master Cycle In Future Zelda Games
Maybe if it were a foot-powered cycle rather than a motorbike, it would fit more into the Zelda world.
Re: Register Smash Bros. on Both Wii U and 3DS and Get a Soundtrack Disc for Free
Nice! I wasn't going to get the 3DS version but I just might do after seeing this deal.

Re: Armillo Update Rolling Through Nintendo Approval Process
Played one or two hours of it, but have been sidelined by other games. I'll definitely give it another go though, as it's really fun!
