I don't think it's pre-Skyward Sword, because then we'd have the ancient robots and a sea in the southwest instead of desert and Gerudo. However it looks like an 'oh boy, things are heating up' prep to evacuate to Skyloft once again perhaps?

Tektites, leevers, peahats, gohma, goriya.... lots of enemies missing.

Dungeons, more intricate caves, etc.

With the basic 'world' already in-place, there have been 5 years to really flesh things out. It will be interesting to see what they've done with it.

In all seriousness though, I am glad that Nintendo at-large isn't all about cloud. The day they go that way is the day I lose my enthusiasm for Nintendo. I hope that day doesn't come.

A newer ARM core and NVIDIA GPU on a smaller process node would still eat much less power and run cooler on "standard performance" if not even while running full-bore. Even if games didn't fully utilize the more modern hardware, they would run longer on the same battery and possibly allow the elimination of a cooling fan (which also draws power to spin up as well).

Split screen was the only reason I bought and play RL on the Switch. In fact, I don't care about online at all. It was great. Now they took it away. Thanks guys. Stay classy.

Yeah that's not even close for my house- we play 90% of the time docked.

Hybrid is one of the best of Nintendo's innovations ever.

Love Axiom Verge. This man has a lot on his plate, and has done all of this on his own. He deserves to do it at his own pace and find enjoyment in the process.

I played it like crazy when I got my hands on it, but Super Mario Land 2 was my favorite of 'em all.

Bought whole collection to play Sunshine on switch. Not sorry.

That game is super-fun. Played while it was still under heavy development, so looking forward to starting again on Switch. Tons of content and side quests added since my first go at it.

@Wavey84 All of what you said! I guess I am old now, but CRTs definitely still have something modern displays don't! Yeah, they are big bulky and heavy, but they were unbeatable in latency and had no blur (although they trade that for flicker at lower refresh rates) I miss 'em.

@Knuckles I was held over a good bit with Hydro City in Sonic Mania However, They only teased Angel Island, and I missed Launch Base ( I don't know why ) and Sky Sanctuary ( My favorite ). & Knuckles also has the coolest Death Egg levels ever

I sound like a complainer ( unintentional ) but I also wish Ecco: The Tides of Time would get more love!

@Sakura7 Do you have any links? Older cartridges are "mask ROM" and seem to be WAY more durable than newer cartridges which use flash memory

@DarthFoxMcCloud Yep, and with digital services, the "owner" (not you) can pull the plug anytime they feel like it. Books, movies, TV series on Netflix.... They can be (and often are) here today, gone tomorrow.

..If only Insomniac would put Ratchet and Clank on the Switch too..

But yeah... So many creatures. It'd be really cool if they put them back. It felt odd not to see tektites hopping around!

I always felt like that great plateau should have had a huge door on it somewhere around the bottom... What's under that thing? Anything? I kept going back to make sure I didn't just miss it later. Good place to put a huge dungeon IMO
