Hmm, I don't know. The old AAA games that were interesting to me i have already played. Not sure, if i would buy a switch port. Maybe, if they could port some old exclusives to the new console the way platinum games does atm. That would excite me more i think.
Never played this game before, so will check it out. Also i agree. So many physical releases come out in september. Propably won't get all the games i want right away because of that.
@RazorThin I read you had to pay quite some money to get a ticket. And black market prices were through the roof. So i can understand it somewhat. If you take money for an event, you have to deliver the goods.
Wish they would remove it from the single player cups. You try to make first place and get bombarded with these stupid shells. Really annoying. For multiplayer its fine. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
If the game has some survival aspects like Zelda, then Game Over is important i think. But for Platformers i really liked the way Ori and the Blind Forest worked. You could die hundreds of times in that game but it was never a frustrating experience. It still had difficult escape sequences that you had to beat without saves. For Mario i think no Game Over is the better system.
@Hobbesyall Some stores in germany already allowed preorders. But they are gone basically immediatly. Amazon had the preorder button up for a few minutes this morning .
I would buy it as a physical copy. Don't have it yet on steam and this seems top be a real gem. Together with the european release of cave story+, these are two smaller games i look forward to.
A big part of the file size of modern games are uncompressed high-res textures and video files.
Not really a problem for switch games so far.
Looking forward to the rabbids game.
Wouldn't this make life difficult for Indie Developers on Switch? How many people would buy your 40€ cartridge, if they can just buy your game for 10 bucks during a sale on steam and then stream it to their console. Don't know if it would make a huge difference, but maybe it could damage the 3rd parties on switch?
@TreonsRealm The Switch isn't Region locked i think. And the South park games are censored in some parts of the world. Nintendo would maybe have to publish the censored version in that case ?
I think it is understandable, that people are somewhat annoyed about the whole situation. I didn't manage to preorder one so far and feel a bit let down by Nintendo. There are of course many ways to play the old Nintendo games, but who wouldn't want to own something, that is difficult to get your paws on. I would never pay more than the normal price though
Amazon in germany ships them after maybe 3-4 weeks. I ordered mine and after a wait of a few weeks i got it via mail. Of course, if you are willing to pay a hundered bucks extra you can get it immediatly. Even one of the big electronics retailers here sold them for 350 instead of 329.
