Re: Nintendo Direct: Trailers Round-Up

What_Sthat

In the immediate I'm looking most forward to picking up Weapon Shop de Omasse. I also might pick up some of the other Guild releases as they're all on sale for three bucks right now, and I have only previously purchased Crimson Shroud and Liberation Maiden.

Downloaded the free Sub Wars game, can't complain about free. If it sucks I'll delete it, simple. I didn't expect it so it's not a loss to get nothing for nothing.

Otherwise nothing really had my attention. Smash Bros and MH4U are a while off so nothing to get jumpy about. Might look into Inazuma Eleven when it's discounted. Not disappointed or excited about the Direct though, it was what they announced it as.

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Confirmed for the West

Just got back into MH3U recently after going overkill on it back when it came out. Now when I get burned out again I can cool down and get ready for the next installment instead. Gonna be great. Finally can find out if a battery in the circle pad pro can ever die.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th January (North America)

I really want Super Mario Bros. 3. I've had the spot on the 3DS home interface reserved next to Super Mario Bro. 2 and Super Mario Land for a while now. I'm a pretty patient dude but I'm admittedly a little annoyed that nothing has been said (as far as I know) after it was announced to be released before the end of last year. Would be nice to just get an update, honestly.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Games We'd Love to See in 2014

What_Sthat

Don't want to go through and do an entry for everything but:

Yes to new Star Fox, anything Rosalina, FE Anthology, and Majora's Mask 3D just because I like having all these digital LoZ games on my LoZ XL.

No to Mario in Luigi's mansions, Galaxy remakes or remasters or redoings of any kind, and a lot of the thought that going eShop tier instead of retail tier would be better.

Indifference to Metroid and F-Zero and Animal Crossing. I'd play F-Zero but I've never been big on Metroid and Animal Crossing just is not for me. Also to Mario Paint and SNES remix.

Aside from that though, Virtual Console expansion on the 3DS (add SNES and GBA games please) and Wii U would be great. Would like to see something on a new Advance Wars as well. Seems a bit too obvious to say new titles not sequels or remakes or whatever would be great. Maybe a game where a person goes around doing what is considered necessary to solve a particular problem that affects some group of people.

Re: Western Version Of Bravely Default Features Costume Changes For Female Characters

What_Sthat

I'm not the biggest fan of censorship. I don't like bleeped words or pixelate/fogged-over lady parts or when someone tells me to "watch my language". But all I've heard about this game is that this is a game I need to buy, this is Square back when Square was the BLEEP (I typed that to make myself chuckle but I feel pained inside still). I'm going to try out that demo this weekend once I've got the time to do so, and if it's as good as I'm hearing, I will be glad I preordered it weeks ago. Still not sure if I care about the CE but I can change my mind when I go to pick it up.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd January (North America)

What_Sthat

I have no issue with a week like this. I can use the week trying to catch up with the already impossible game backlog I already have. Also my CCP XL came today so it's back to a life of too much Monster Huntering. Nintendo had to work overtime through that Christmas nightmare, taking it easy for a week is no bother. Enjoy some Bravely Default and chillax.

Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life Readers' Awards 2013

What_Sthat

My hype for Bravely Default is growing when it wins without having its release in NA yet. Two more days until the demo, will be stalking the eShop Thursday morning.

3DS game of the year for me is Fire Emblem: Awakening. I keep going back to it, I'm in love with (female) Morgan and she makes me more sure I'll never be a father because I know I'll never have a daughter as perfect as she is.

Second is Etrian Odyssey IV, best discovery I somehow missed from the DS days, and third is Monster Hunter 3U. I did get a bit worn out on MH3U after a while but my activity log tells no lies, it still was one of the best.

Re: Nintendo Apologises for Nintendo Network Issues as Full eShop Services Return

What_Sthat

There's a difference between "I'm annoyed by this situation. I'm considering returning this product because I am not satisfied." and "This is the worst thing that ever happened to anyone anywhere! Nintendo are a bunch of scheming evil monsters who will cause the next World War! I threw this new console-turned-paperweight at my wife and she's bleeding now and she doesn't even blame me because she knows Nintendo made me do it! My oldest son broke the disc for Super Mario 3D World and stabbed the dog because he can't play his brand new 3DS that I got him for Christmas! I'm not sure if the dog will make it but I wouldn't be surprised if he responds with his own kind of violence because I know how Nintendo screwing me over can upset him! This, of course, is assuming that Nintendo hasn't already brought on a zombie apocalypse that will turn my dog into a zombie who will bite my family and make my bleeding wife and upset children into more zombies! Thanks for all you've done for us, Nintendo. I hope you BURN!!"

I apologize if I went too far. I get carried away sometimes.
