Online is much better now, even though two of my match slots is broken. But they still had a year or two after initial complaints on the other platforms to make the online better by design, but they didn't.
Right now as soon as one person makes a move and go do something else for the next few hours, that game takes days to complete, as neither of you know who will be online at that time....
This would of been solved by Live Games where you had to commit time, and a period in which you had to make your move.
I'm not happy with the Wii U version, online seems to be broken, takes way too long to find a player. I was expecting an online game where I could quickly find an opponent and not have to wait years for a game to even begin.
It should be simple, search online, find player, each gets x-time to make move and voila. So far it seems they tried to recreate a browser game of chess. Feels like I waisted my money.
Can't stand the blur in the backround either. It's just there permanently, doesn't matter where you focus.
Look at the nice reflection on that cheaply produced made in China screen...
The Wii U hardware was outdated the moment it arrived, today's smart phones just have better screens, multi touch functionality (in the art academy this would allowed you to rest part of your hand on the screen while you draw) and it doesn't hurt your eyes when the sun is out.
The triggers aren't real triggers either, when they made the wii U they cut way too many corners. Removed all possible useful functionality like being able to watch blu ray movies and even to show the family photos and videos you took with the camera.
I want to play BluRay and MkV files on my Wii U...
Any modding and piracy can be quickly made irrelevant if there was official support or just a great pricing model that required zero effort from the user's point of view. What if Wii U had the Steam sales equivalent for the virtual console where every game went for 50cents -> $1?
I'm also annoyed that I can't put a PDF file on a memory stick and read it...
Sonic Generations was pretty good, just badly structured and short. Just when you get into game, you are stuck trying to figure out what next, is game over?
Should just go back to start -> finish with story and decent platforming.
They should really just release those for free. Those games are so old now, might as well do everyone a fan service.
See it as way to get people who never use the eShop to open it up and test it.
The price reductions in the remotes and games actually made me fork out a lot of money. Also we finally got the eShop, although we still don't have the eShop prepaid cards. The prices are good so far, if we get those cards and the prices remain affordable like this, the Wii U might gain traction here fast.
Currently I'm playing ME3 which I bought for R200 new (less than $20).
His kinda right to a degree, so many people selling their Wii consoles with only a few games in their collection. It's normally Wii Sports with some utter crappy game no one cares about.
Maybe if the wii didn't consist of 90% crap kids won't even enjoy then maybe.

The PS3 is honestly more next gen than the Wii U
Re: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Reduced to $19.99 on Both Wii U and 3DS
Couldn't get into the game either, but I had played DMC5 and Batman earlier.
Also I discovered Dark Souls, those games just did combat so much better.

Re: Sonic Lost World Gets Patched Up On Wii U
"100 rings finally grants an extra life"
I thought that was a joke lol...
Was the game that broken? Or did it just completely miss the mark.
Re: Weirdness: Say Hello to the Cross Plane, a GamePad For Other Systems
At that price your better off just buying another screen. Or a PS4 and PS Vita for the same functionality.
Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts Confirmed For Wii U
I want an immersion mode, where you use the gamepad as a 360 degrees aiming device for the entire game.
Re: NBA 2K14 Won't Be Slam Dunking On Wii U
amazing current-generation and next generation game
Someone please explain me the logic behind this statement?
Wii U is neither current nor next generation?

Isn't this the game who said Fuse will sell 5 million copies?

I hope it makes full use of the touch pad and supports off TV play.

Re: Armature Reveals More Details For Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
I no longer want it, the whole flying around in Gotham and the freedom of navigating the city was what sold me. This is nothing more than a cash grab.
edit: Blackgate?
Re: Talking Point: The Arrival of eShop Download Codes in Stores is a Smart Move
This is seriously needed in South Africa. We also have a Game, so hopefully it will become a reality in the future.
