Re: E3 2010: First Impressions: Kirby's Epic Yarn

Twilight_Crow

I'm sooo hyped about this game and DKCR , and this one has some splendid visuals (so charming ), sounds like tight controls, and, hopefully, fast paced gameplay, as KSS.
This E3 showcased the return of awesome 2D platforming! And I'm loving it.
Thanks for the impressions Corbie, you are the man .

I predicted shovelware for WiiWare!
Good to see MM4 on VC, though I have the MM collection, that means absolutly nothing for me this week.

On a side note, heck those G&W games are too expensive, what a rip off Nintendo; those games are better as Club Nintendo awards. I'm with Stuffy here, better go get G&W Gallery 4.

Happy Anniversary Nintendo Life!
You guys are the best, talking points, news, reviews just name it, you own it . And thanks for helping me invest my valuable "wii"points since fhe days of WWW and VC-R .

@aNt New features are coming?! YAHOO! , thanks for working so hard on the site.

Re: Red Steel 2 Blunted After Poor UK Chart Debut

Twilight_Crow

What a shame, Red Steel 2, looks sweet. I think the reason of this poor performance, are all those first party titles about to come out (Sin & Punishment and SMG 2 are around the corner, money must be saved), and of course Monster Hunter 3, which seems to have full Nintendo support (many videos on the Nintendo Channel). I don't think I will be able to get MH3 nor RS2 in a while. Still, if I had to chose between slaying "old west human badies", or "cute (imo) awesome monsters", bring on the badies >:3.

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th March 2010 (North America)

Twilight_Crow

Interesting week, as I said before, I'm all over Wiiware versions of PC games, so I will get Dinner Dash, but later on, I'm totally money less . Congratulations, to all the strategy lovers for getting Ogre Battle 64, not my genre, but I've heard this game is sweet .
Also, After a good research on WarioWare DIY (that means, I just read Corbie's great review ), I really think is not for me, so no need for the Showcase.

Re: 3DS to Employ Parallax Barrier Technology?

Twilight_Crow

It sounds possible, but I don't think 3D is such a big thing, also two words:
Motion Sickness
I have enough problems with "unperfect" 3D thank you. It still depends on the camera movement and placement though, so I'm ok as long as it can be turned off.

Re: Review: Wario: Master of Disguise (DS)

Twilight_Crow

I agree with this review. Played this game a couple of times at a friend's house, didn't like it at all, too much text for a dumb story to begin with, then too much touch screen gimmicks, and finally the fact that I'm lefty, and didn't like to use my right thumb to move the character with the buttons instead of the pad, so I started switching from pad to stylus, and was awful.
Of course that's just me, and I see some people liked it, so, if you've ever considered getting this game, why not try it?, but really TRY IT FIRST.

-Besides classic arcade, what is your favorite video game genre?
-How many games do you consider yourself, good at?
-Any general tips for breaking records on classic games?

Re: First Impressions: Metroid: Other M

Twilight_Crow

It sounds great! imo. The controls are interesting and different; and I always wanted to know what Samus thought about the "little" metroid sacrifice. I can't wait for this game, it will be my birthday present for sure .

Re: Nintendo European Media Summit 2010 Round-up

Twilight_Crow

After reading most of the news, I have to congratulate the NL staff for the great coverage , good work guys, thank you.
So, there wasn't any spectacular announcements in the event after all (except perhaps Cave Story release date for me ), but the release dates and all new footage and information about this year's big hits are well received .

Re: Review: Art of Balance (WiiWare)

Twilight_Crow

Alright, I knew I'd find this review ready for the weekend, and what a nice surprise a 9, this game sounds cool. Well reviewed Corbie, thanks, this goes directly to the games to DL list (if only I weren't that broken ).

Why is people complaining?, it is Corbie's opinion, you shouldn't be mad at someone else opinion.

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st February 2010 (North America)

Twilight_Crow

Good update, for me at least . As a Zuma fan, I've been waiting for Tumblebugs, never liked the Magnetica Twist control idea, so I hope this one is closer to the PC game. Also, the last Alex Kidd game seems like the kind of platformer I'd like to play on peaceful afternoon, short, simple and enjoyable. ToMI is a good release too, just not my cup of tea.

Re: Get your name in Furry Legends

Twilight_Crow

This game looks so good, is gonna be a must buy, I know it.

Er... register on twitter to get my name on a game thousands of persons will play... for some reason both of those things sounds horrible to me

Re: Nintendo Download: 28 December 2009 (North America)

Twilight_Crow

Not a bad update, I'm sad we got back to one VC, but it was expected, whatever; I'll get Pilotwigs later on, just for nostalgia. Waiting for the reviews of The Magic Obelisk and Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth. As good as a new, old school Castlevania sounds, the title is gonna sell just for being called Castlevania, so who knows what to expect from the game itself.

Re: Merry Christmas from Nintendo Life

Twilight_Crow

I yelled like that when I got my wii, of course hearing "and the first winner of a Nintendo Wii is:" before your name can rise the excitement about it .

Cool video LOL, Thanks NL, and Merry Christmas to you all!

Re: Review: Diatomic (WiiWare)

Twilight_Crow

Developers should have learned by now that, even well implemented, motion controls are not for everybody, and there should always be an alternative control scheme.

@KDR_11k
I'm glad to hear about Dragon Master's update, I may consider it now. NL should definitely update their reviews when the games get improved.
