Re: Japanese Gamers Think Nintendo Switch Is Too Expensive, But Don't Mind Paying For Online Access

TreasureFan

@Syrek24 HD Rumble and a IR Camera "Very advanced technologies", yeah sure, but all it's really done is up the price for the Switch. I honestly don't care it's $299 or more, since i'm not getting it until it offers a lot more within it's library, but I highly doubt anyone really wanted HD Rumble and a IR Camera in the first place, so all those "advanced features" Nintendo added are just going to be left unused, with the exception of motion controls (Since that's a feature that everyone likes).

Gaming doesn't have to be expensive, since they are plenty of ways to play really good games without paying an arm and a leg. Not to say it's bad thing to pay for expensive games and accessories, but for the people who game as a hobby, the majority of them want the best deal that they can spend with their hard earned money. Only someone who actually games for a hobby knows this, unfortunately for you everything you said is a big rookie mistake in terms on buying games as a hobby.

And here's some more friendly advice for you my friend, Stop taking video games so seriously, Jeez. Every time I see you in a comment section you're ways saying people are complaining, when the only one I see complaining is you. So lighten up, people have other opinions and aren't blind fanboys like you. If anyone who is the massive joke in the fanbase it's people like you, who go around starting arguments with insults and barely any facts to back yourself up.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Not Feature HD Rumble

Did anyone really ask for HD Rumble? As a whole exactly. Because although very interesting in concept, it's essentially a feature that shouldn't have been in the Switch in the first place. The games that I know of that support it, is "1,2...Switch", which isn't getting the best response from everyone and ARMS I believe, but that game could have been fine without it.

In all honestly the only thing HD Rumble has done is basically added a needless feature to the Switch, increased the price of the Switch and some of it's accessories, and (from what I've been reading for the past 20 minutes in this comment section) tearing this fanbase apart. Over a feature that the last time anyone really cared about was in the Fifth Generation. Maybe it would work for VR, but I doubt the Switch will get something like that in near future.

Re: Feature: Reflecting on Time Spent With the Nintendo Switch

I'm confident that the Switch will do well, however the lack of key information on the online aspect (Such as Virtual Console, the payed online, etc.) has been very concerning, especially since it's about month away from launch. Of course it will do very well at launch especially since vast amounts of longtime Nintendo fans and Tech Enthusiasts are pre-ordering it. But in order to keep that hype and numbers going, (especially for the casual consumer, which Nintendo needs to grab) Nintendo needs to make sure that everything about the Switch (whether it is about the internet service, control functionality, and of course the games that will be released) All of which should be addressed soon, if they want it to be a consistent success.

Re: Music: Loads Of Classic Sega Albums Are Now Available On Spotify

@ChristopherM Oh yes, I do remember that functionality, however I was just saying that maybe SEGA could add few more little known or fan favorite game soundtracks to the Spotify music service.

I know some soundtracks have already been released by fans on youtube, but it's nice to see SEGA give a sign that they haven't forgotten many of their beloved franchises.

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo 3DS, A System That Still Has a Role to Play

As I said before Nintendo is taking a huge risk with the Switch. The fact that it's both a portable and a console is a really neat concept, but the portability aspect seems a bit impractical some situations (Due it's slightly larger size), but even when the 3ds line had larger more bulkier models made, there was still a bit of seclusion and portability that the Switch doesn't have.

I mean yeah they could release a smaller Switch, but that would just make the Joycons smaller and even less comfortable. Taking away the "Console-Like" aspect away from it.

Plus The 3DS line of systems and games are very profitable, but with the Switch being Nintendo's main focus, they have no choice, but to get rid of it because it might impede Switch sales. But if the Switch doesn't do to well there is nothing it can really fall back on, like with the Wii U.

Re: Talking Point: Is the Nintendo Switch a Handheld or Console? Does it Matter?

TreasureFan

I just feel that Nintendo might be shooting themselves in the foot, if they get rid of the DS line of systems. I know that the switch is also a handheld, but the idea of a console/handheld hybrid system is still a bit of a gamble for Nintendo, especially since it doesn't have the exact portability nor familiarity of what the DS had.

Plus if the switch does fail (Not necessarily saying it will, it's just a "what if" scenario.) then Nintendo doesn't have anything to really fall back on.

I gotta be honest here. The Switch doesn't really look all that portable, with the DS or heck the Gameboy, you could fit it in your pocket and carry it around with you no problem. But with the Switch you need a case, because it is much to bulky.
