I gave up and didn't even try to play during the hour extension. I'm still getting the game but last night's screw-up did little to instill confidence in Nintendo's online capabilities.
"Stress test" or not, the last thing any online shooter needs days before launch is a server meltdown. I hope they're prepared for release day.
@Darknyht You could actually disable the motion controls. The weapon select screen had an options menu. They only forced the motion controls in the tutorial.
Wow Nintendo, you're still in your own twisted, little plane of existence, aren't you? I'm thankful for the demo and everything but let's be real. Every other shooter's beta gives at least a weekend with no arbitrary time limits attached. I will be able to play at least once but unfortunately I don't believe everyone will have the same opportunity.
I'm thankful they finally shown some actual footage. Unfortunately, the game looks as uninteresting as Xenoblade.
There are plenty of other MMO-ish games I've still yet to beat and, unless they reveal some totally revolutionary gameplay elements, I'm more than likely skipping this one.
I seem to remember the 3DS not having any games worth picking up the system for stopping the sales momentum. (edit: I'm speaking of early on in the launch window)
I'm not trying to diminish the impact of a natural disaster (I'm not!) but they knew they were transferring their resources to 3DS development; wouldn't it have made sense to hire more people to develop Wii U content?
Thanks to this game, I might actually consider getting a Wii U soon. The online multi-player would give me something to play while the first-party titles take their sweet time to make it to store shelves.

Re: Silver Edition Mario amiibo Hits North American Stores on 29th May
Looks a bit like a player's token in Monopoly.

@bezerker99
That makes way too much sense. Why do that when you can do things the hard way!

Re: Cross-Buy is Now a Thing on Nintendo Platforms
Click-bait-ish article title.
At a casual glance, "Cross-Buy is Now a Thing on Nintendo Platforms" is implying that content will now be available as cross-platform.
The article title should read something to the effect of "new game will be a cross-buy title".

I really hope DQ X gets localized. I'm not into RPG's anymore but I'd certainly subscribe to this game in a heartbeat.

"What happens once sold out, though?"
...buy a Wii U maybe?

Re: Thinking Of Buying Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Go Digital, Says Iwata
Why WOULDN'T Iwata want you to download a digital copy? The company makes more money off a digital sale.
