Re: Club Nintendo to Close, With Replacement Loyalty Programme Coming Later in the Year

TheMentalNomad

Sorry to be a Negative Nancy, but good riddance. Half of us have been bickering about how Club Nintendo has been a disappointment for months now any way. Even now, with the updated games, the only two I'm even remotely interested in and don't have yet are on the WII VIRTUAL CONSOLE despite them already being on the WII U VIRTUAL CONSOLE! WHY? It's loving annoying. Hopefully some cool stuff will come along in the physical rewards between now and then, because I've got a lot of coins burning a hole in my virtual pocket.

Nintendo, please step up your game with the replacement.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Explains Why Mewtwo Isn't Paid DLC in Smash Bros.

TheMentalNomad

So for people who aren't interested in the 3DS version (very understandable if you haven't already bought it and have seen how the Wii U version has a TON more content), they would still need to buy it to play with Mewtwo. That's basically charging someone $40 for a character. I find it extremely hard to believe that if the character already exists, it would be that difficult to put him up as paid DLC on both systems. Again with the clearly short-sighted justification.

Re: Sakurai Explains Why Ridley Is Not A Playable Fighter In Super Smash Bros.

TheMentalNomad

I feel like we keep getting post-reasoning from Nintendo. Like, the reasons are created based on the situation and didn't go into actually making the decision. I don't personally care if Ridley is in Smash or not, I don't think he would be very interesting, but this clearly doesn't make any sense. There are several characters with moves and concepts that were created IN SMASH, e.g. Fox, Falco, Wolf, Zelda, Sheik, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, freaking ROB THE ROBOT. Were you concerned with maintaining the "character" or ROB?

If you don't have a sound reason, just don't say anything. You didn't put him in. You couldn't get everyone in. That's fine, and it makes way more sense. Fans aren't stupid, and they can see false justification.

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS

TheMentalNomad

I think it's absolute garbage that games will be exclusive to the system. This doesn't just make it a new version of the same system, it makes is a new system entirely. I only hope that it won't be that big of a wave of exclusives like it was with the DSi, but Xenoblade Chronicles is already a huge step beyond the exclusives that the DSi had.

This makes me feel like what I have now is obsolete, and that's bulldoggiepoopiepoodle.

Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Legend Of Zelda Game?

TheMentalNomad

It's weird that this is a "best" vote, as opposed to a "favorite" one, just observing how many picks each get. It's just semantics, I guess, but it bothers me. People are just picking what they played as a kid, explaining why Ocarina is in first as of right now and not Ocarina 3D, which is clearly the best way to play it.

My favorite is WindWaker HD, but I wouldn't say that it's the "best." If I had to, I'd honestly say that goes to A Link Between Worlds, for what it's trying to do for the Zelda series.
