@sdelfin We get both, actually. This game was a separate stretch goal.
I'm a backer, and I'm certainly thrilled for this one. It looks better than I'd imagined, and I have high hopes and a lot of faith in the whole Bloodstained project.
I finally beat this game, and I did it without the help of a guide. It can definitely be stressful and frustrating, but it was so worth it. Very beautiful and unique, and I loved it.
Now that I'm done, I'm gonna scour the internet for bits of lore that I missed.
Edit: Oh yeah, good review Jon. Very fair. The game can indeed be vague, especially in the beginning, but it just makes it all the more rewarding when stuff starts to click.
@kevin74 Sheeple's Sequel just hit Steam. Fabraz talks about it on their Twitter a bunch, and they mentioned it should be out for the Switch this summer.
I was excited until I found out they're not catering to any real gaming systems. C'mon, guys, don't do this to me. I played and enjoyed Shadowgate, Deja Vu 1 and 2, and Uninvited...
Eh, I understand how it feels for a beloved series to hop ship. Ain't a reason to hate the console's developer like some folks do. Sure, blame Nintendo for good third party relationships. Or, hell, blame Platinum for being treated nicely by Nintendo. It can be annoying, but developers have their reasons for switching consoles.
Specifically, the fact that it's still hot as Hell and there's no more 8 bit summer. I come to the eShop because it's affordable, quality gaming. It's not fair to its demographic to let some $40 game hog the spotlight. Oooh, look at what you can't have!
@Finn_The_Human I'm surprised somebody else played No More Heroes >_> Great game, but I preferred Killer 7. On topic, this does look like a fun game. I loved Zelda II, and love genre-bending in general.
I remember desperately wanting a DS back in middle school. Getting an expensive chunk of hardware like that from my folks was almost unheard of back then, yet I got one for Christmas Didn't upgrade until I got the 3DS before the price drop, and it's a damn good upgrade. As upsetting as it may be for some, I love all of the remakes and retreads that seem to be flooding the system now. Also, Virtual Console > 3D effects.
Club Nintendo never made me want to buy their games. Buying their games makes me want to play their games, freebies on top of that are fine with me. None of their platinum prizes were worth the money spent on the games, it's just a bonus. Can't complain. I've been playing poker a lot lately, I'm gonna get those sexy looking cards.
It's only been a couple of years since last I played it, I recall it being quite swell. Never had saving issues, just dying issues... Revisiting a lot of the locations was often a little boring, and there were some chapters I would've preferred to skip. I still love the manor, it was definitely the creepiest area.
The way it seems to me, hate is just that much louder than love, especially on the Internet. Us content ones tend to stay quiet, as we have nothing to do but wait and go off of what information we do have. Don't worry, Reggie, we love you too!
I remember it from my youth. Small amount of content makes 5 bucks a bit steep, but not a bad game. Also, restore points are totally unnecessary in a four level, score-based game, I'm assuming that's why they were left out.
The word 'rumble' shouldn't automatically be associated with Pokemon Rumble, yeesh. They sound nothing alike. That said, I'm going to have to wait for some reviews. Could be right up my alley or total garbage.

Re: Review: Sengoku 3 (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)
This is the game that pushed me to start collecting arcade titles on my Switch. It's good stuff.

Re: Slime-san’s Big Update Is Now Available
@kevin74 Sheeple's Sequel just hit Steam. Fabraz talks about it on their Twitter a bunch, and they mentioned it should be out for the Switch this summer.
Re: Slime-san’s Big Update Is Now Available
I thought the game was a steal at full price. There's more free content due in the summer as well.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd February (North America)
Major Slime-san update today, I've waited so long. Great game.
Re: Wield The Power Of Gods (And Some Huge Guns) As Immortal Redneck Heads To Switch
Almost wrote it off because of the title, but it sounds really fun. I'll keep my eye on this one.
Re: Review: Elliot Quest (Switch eShop)
I love Zelda II. This game is also pretty great.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd November 2012 (North America)
I already beat Zelda II without the savestates. Did it on NES years back, I can't have myself going soft.
Re: WayForward Would Like To Make A Metroid Game
I think they have the potential to handle a Metroid game beautifully. I say go for it.
Re: Molyneux: "I Struggle To See Anything Amazing Coming Out Of Nintendo"
It's all good, Peter. Your games don't have me running to my local retailers either.

Re: Review: Samurai G (3DS eShop)
Please stop releasing UFO's games, Nintendo.
Re: Our Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct Translation Awaits Forest Folk Within
I wasn't too interested in the game prior to this article. NintendoLife: where I go to want.
Re: Paper Mario: Sticker Star Arrives in Europe 7th December
To a world made of paper, that goat is just as apocalyptic as any meteor seen in other RPGs.

Re: Review: Retro Pocket (DSiWare)
@Morphtroid
True, there are countless other LCD games, but these are mostly concepts that G&W did better.
Re: Feast Your Eyeballs On This Go! Go! Kokopolo 3D Enemy Artwork
Bandozer looks awesome.
Re: Review: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (3DS eShop / NES)
Why don't all the people who complain about Mario being too easy play this? Perfectly beatable, but quite a fun challenge. Needs more love.
Re: Cave Story eShop Release Date Confirmed
Yeah, I got the dsiware version. Yeah, I'm really excited for this.
Re: LCD Gaming is Resurrected in Retro Pocket on DSiWare
Meh, I'll wait for the next G&WG releases.
Re: Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (North America)
I need to stop looking forward to Thursdays.
Re: Feast Your Eyes on This New La-Mulana Trailer
I want so bad. Sucks I don't have a Wii anymore. 3DS please?
Re: Rumour: Sega Is Working On Skies of Arcadia Remake
Excellent, I hope it's true. Any excuse to replay one of my favorites will do.
Re: GAME: Zelda Majora’s Mask Listing Was Fabricated
I knew it was too good and/or too soon to be true...
Re: Ninterview: Super Famicom Guy
I'm jelly.
Re: Serve Up Some Pixels For Breakfast With The NES Toaster
I would definitely purchase one for my future home.
Re: Rumour: Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask Coming To 3DS
PLEEEEAAAASE!!
Easily among my favorite games ever.
Re: What Not To Do With Your Brand New 3DS XL
The only thing that bothers me about this is that I often go hungry. There are much more generous ways of throwing money away.

Yes! Yesss!!
Re: Guild01 Could be Coming to North America
I was hoping this would make it here, but had many doubts.
Re: King Nintendo 64 Lords It Up At Otakon
@Araknie
Aside from RPGs in the N64's case. Otherwise a great library.
Re: Review: The Sword of Hope II (3DS eShop / Game Boy)
Played through the first dungeon, this game is really fun!
Re: New Trailer for Adventure Time on DS and 3DS
@Finn_The_Human
I'm surprised somebody else played No More Heroes >_>
Great game, but I preferred Killer 7. On topic, this does look like a fun game. I loved Zelda II, and love genre-bending in general.
Re: Kirby's Pinball Land
@Azikira
Agreed, definitely.
Re: Site News: James Finds a Warp Zone
I was about to be sad, but how can you be sad for a guy going to work for Nintendo? Congratulations, James!

1/10 game, 10/10 review, I laughed constantly!

Re: Nintendo Download: 5th July 2012 (North America)
I may not need Zelda as an ambassador, but everyone needs it, I got that much. I just want more GB games, though... Argh.

Give us SNES VC on 3DS and gimme my Majora's Mask remake and I'll be happy.

Excellent!

Re: E3 2012: Castlevania: Mirror of Fate Gameplay Whips Into Action
I'm bummed beyond belief. I felt like the series was getting back on track with Ecclesia. At this rate, I'll never get my 1999 game.
EDIT: Though the classic series was also great fun. I'd rather them infuse more classic elements than whatever the hell they think they're doing now.
