@brianvgplayer It's part of a celebration of the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter (1987) - hence the '80s packaging. Still things you find it hard to wrap your head around?
I just LOVE Pac-In-Time, love the original as well (Fury of the Furries). I'm getting this boxed and that's the only game I'll be playing on it! 8D It's a bit cheap they left out Ms Pac-Man, though!
Would also love a Pac-Man World compilation along with Ms Pac-Man - Maze Madness!
@korosanbo Would love the game with patches installed, but considering how close to release this is, the carts are (most likely) already done. Just logistics causing a delay, not changes to the game/carts. But here's hoping...
Also, considering how badly this game has been received, it went from 'must-buy' to 'wait-and-see-what-happens-after-patching'. Still got my Wii version so there's no rush.
"For the Nintendo sales chart – that's just games sold on Nintendo platforms – the entire top ten for June was comprised of Nintendo-published titles. The only third-party offering was Minecraft in 10th place, which is published by Nintendo on Switch."
Note to all complaining about lack of third-party support - you have to BUY third-party games to increase support!
@link3710 Fair enough. I just reacted to your statement 'They put in a bunch of functionality to allow you to play from home, though it's been removed now.' as nothing's really been removed. These perks are constantly being tweaked, and some come and go as various events are active. All's well though, have a nice day!
@link3710 What functionality has been removed? I play PoGo on two accounts daily and can't think of anything. Remote raiding is up, inviting to raid is up, increased range for stop-spins is still up, etc etc etc. The only thing not up right now is increased trade-range and that's still a recurring thing for limited dates like it's been since it first appeared. Oh and EX raids are still gone to stop people gathering in large groups. And all events are still laid out so you can complete them (mostly) from home.
There are of course some events that included certain bonuses etc. that are ended now, but new events like that come all the time. I used to be bored with PoGo for months at a time 1-2 years ago, but this last year it's constantly been new events, seasons, challenges and so on.
Really don't care about the NES/SNES anymore as I've got all I want on PC emus, 3DS, WiiU etc. etc. Don't think I've bothered to play a single NES/SNES game on the Switch. Give me GBA, N64 or GC and I'll be interested. Even GB games are more interesting to me...
@FalconeerDev Thanks for the tech info, always nice when devs comment here. This game just got even more interesting to me because of this, shows you care about the community!
If anything it looks similar in many ways to the excellent PS1 title Overboard! (EU) / Shipwreckers! (US) from Psygnosis. Hope it plays somewhat similar as this is one of my favourite PS1-titles!
The hardware designer quit after not being paid for six months.
The makers of Tempest 4000 not aware it's coming to the VCS.
The Tempest 4000 gameplay was revealed (and admitted by Atari) to be from a PC.
No existing prototype, just an empty box designed to look cool.
...and as been said before - this isn't 'Atari', just some guys who bought the name.
@Agramonte Was scrolling through the comments and had to read your OP after reading his reply - and yeah, it made no sense at all! Some people are just born offended I guess.
@flojomojo Exactly! I was looking forward to this game but after I tried the demo I removed it from my buy-list. It's fine to build the game around Joy-con use, but don't deny people who prefer it to use Pro controllers!
Okay, so that went straight off my wishlist. Been playing games since the 70s and I love a good challenge but I also know that kind of crappy levels destroy the feel of any game. Thanks for a great review!
@masterLEON Thanks for the feedback, was hoping for a ratio-locked zoom function that filled the screen - or at least scaled the screen larger than what I've seen in videos. So if I get you right there's at least some kind of zooming function to get a larger picture. Too bad about no scanlines though. Grew up playing on CRT-screens so I always look for that. I find it 'rounds' the usually pixelated look somewhat.
As cynical as I am, I suspect it's a dev hoping to cash in on a sequel/spin-off to a hugely popular game with minimum effort/investment. This game obviously had way shorter dev time and there's a lot of asset flips etc. But as I said - I might just be too cynical.
This is a skip for me, even though I LOVED Enter...
@BulbasaurusRex Yet 99% of games made since the '80s star male characters and I can't see you complain about this. Bring on the females I say - I'd rather stare at a female character for hours while playing than a male. If it doesn't affect gameplay, what the hell does the sex of the character matter?
Waiting months for info on Switch 2020 & almost certain it would be this Direct. Instead we will get 20 mins of gameplay and chit-chat from some Pokemon Sword & Shield devs. Worlds largest MEH and 1st Direct I'll remember to forget!
Here's hoping someone (with the finance to do so) sues Nintendo for selling gamecarts where entire games has to be downloaded (Spyro/Crash/Bayonetta etc.) and games with huge mandatory updates with no info on filesizes.
With the crappy storage solution on Switch , we need games to come on large enough carts. And we need info on total patch-size for games. The UK eShop at least lists the games' filesize - but this is a bare minimum of info needed.
And yeah, I already have a 512Gb SD-card - which is far too little. There are tons of offers I have to ignore on the eShop 'cause it would fill my cards (have a 400Gb in backup).
@NoTinderLife Yeah, just use 100% assembler. It will only take a 500 man strong team 15 years... There's a reason no-one uses pure assembly anymore - not since the C64.
@OptometristLime Back in the Vic-20, C64 and Amiga days most games were 1-button affairs. And there were tons of great games. Many of these could have been released today (updated to take advantage of todays more powerful tech) with great results I believe.

From what I've heard, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 have input lags and other 'faults'. Have steared away from the Steam versions because of this, and I'm worried about the X emulation also. Hopefully this can be fixed before the Switch release, but I'll wait for reviews. If they're good, I have to get both these and the X-series on Switch.
Yay!!! Spelunker!!!!! Finally! Wanted Spelunker World on PS4 but this is even better! And Spelunky SUCKS compared to this. And for those who don't know; Spelunky is a clone of Spelunker, which came out on the C64, Apple II and others in the 80s - one of my favourite games EVER!
And for those who don't know; get a Japanese Switch account and test the demo, it's AWESOME!
I really couldn't care less about 3rd party support. I get Nintendo-systems for Nintendo-games - and the Switch is awesome! The rest I play on PS4 or PC.
Looking forward to a "standard" Direct, the last few specific-games Directs - Splatoon 2, Pokémon, ARMS & Fire Emblem - didn't interest me at all! None of these are "my" games.

Re: Soapbox: Free Game Updates Are Fantastic For Everyone, Except New Players
I don't get this problem at all. I usually wait playing games for a length of time until most major updates & DLC is out before playing them.

Re: Review: Vagante - A Roguelike Too Empty To Make An Impact
Huh, I LOVE this game on PC. Been waiting years for a Switch release. It's 9/10 for me... strange...
Edit: Just checked and the user score on Steam is 'Very Positive' after ~3000 votes!
Guess it's a case of 'Wrong reviewer for the game'.

Picking up Thy Sword instead after reading all the great reviews on Steam! Probably will get Infinite - Beyond the Mind and Huntdown too.

@dugan Well, it's listed here in Norway at Elkjøp (maybe the biggest electronics chain in Scandinavia):
https://www.elkjop.no/product/gaming/spill/66608/new-super-lucky-s-tale-switch
And at CoolShop, a large Danish eShop:

Both have Super Lucky's Tale for Switch listed with release date December 13th.
