Not a fan of the joycons, or flailing my arms around like when playing Wii and Wii-U games. I was hoping Nintendo would offer multiple ways of playing Switch Sports, like implementing non-motion controls that could be used with the Pro Controller. Oh well, Pass.
Is Mario Kart 9 in development? Probably.
Does this mean that Nintendo will release it this year? Doubt it.
Nintendo's main concern is making money, and while Mario Kart 8 is still topping the sales charts, it's unlikely that Nintendo would release a game that would undermine the sales of a top seller. When Mario Kart 8 sales start to decline, then Nintendo might announce a release window for Mario Kart 9.
@sanderev Yes, I realize that it's not required. The only way I really get to vote about Nintendo's policies is with my wallet, and I'm voting NO for their online service.
Just shut off the automatic renewal for the Nintendo Online. Played the SNES games a bunch when I first got it, but the cost of subscription plus the new cost for the N64/Genesis games seems too high. Thanks but no thanks Nintendo.
We're more than 4 years into the life cycle of the Switch, and Nintendo hasn't ported F-Zero X OR F-Zero GX yet. How very sad, seems like minimal effort and would satisfy so many fans.
@DremrDrone That's the question that Nintendo is avoiding. I feel the same way: Since I bought a digital copy of Mario 3D All Stars, what happens if I need to download it again after March 31st?
For the NES how about: Gauntlet II Marble Madness RC Pro-Am Slalom
And for the SNES how about: Actraiser Axelay Populous Space Megaforce Super Double Dragon Super Mario All-Stars Super Off Road TMNT IV: Turtles in Time
Octopath Traveler is the most played Switch game in my collection. Third time going through it, I have 5 out of the 8 characters completed. If you're unsure about the game, download the demo and check it out. You can save your progress in the demo if you decide to buy the full game.
@LetsaGO Agreed! Nintendo is also notorious for dropping support for the current console as soon as the new console is released. Example: Legend of Zelda BOTW, last Wii-U game released. Sony continued releasing PS3 games well after the release of PS4.
I appreciate that Stuart Gipp (reviewer) was transparent about his reason for the terrible score, this is his least favourite Oddworld game. I loved this game on the original Xbox, and it's awesome to have this version to play on the switch. Bottom line: This port won't change your mind about the original game, but if you enjoyed playing it on the Xbox, you should enjoy this update, as it runs at 60 fps in a 16x9 aspect ration (except for the movies).
Haven't tested this yet, but if you download and install the game on different Micro SD Cards, couldn't you have more than one island on the same Switch?
It's a pain to have to switch between Micro SD cards, but it might be worth a shot.
Depends on what the price tag is. I can currently play the trilogy on my Wii-U with the motion+ controllers, which I prefer over using the pro controller.
After downloading and playing last night, this game might have gotten pushed out of the gate a little too early.
It crashed twice on me within a 2 hour period, freezing once while loading the next CA track, and once while trying to save after racing one of the tracks in Brazil. Both times it was necessary to quit out to the main menu and re-start the game.
The other issue I'm seeing is the frame rate. Sure, it runs steady at 60 fps most of the time, but once or twice during most races that I completed it will suddenly stop for half a second. These momentary pauses pull you out the experience, and I crashed a couple times from being distracted.
Hopefully they will release a patch to address these issues. Still very playable, but with a few annoying bugs.

Re: Nintendo President Says "Most" North American Switch Online Users Have Upgraded To The Expansion Pack
If they added Pilotwings 64 and Waverace 64, I'd upgrade to the Expansion Pack. Those are two of my favourite n64 games, but are sadly still missing.

Re: Review: Dead Cells (Switch)
Is the frame-rate better in the PS4 version? The switch version chugs when there's a lot of stuff happening.
