Re: Talking Point: Could 'Mario Kart 9' Be The Smash Bros. Ultimate Of Racers?

Is Mario Kart 9 in development? Probably.
Does this mean that Nintendo will release it this year? Doubt it.
Nintendo's main concern is making money, and while Mario Kart 8 is still topping the sales charts, it's unlikely that Nintendo would release a game that would undermine the sales of a top seller. When Mario Kart 8 sales start to decline, then Nintendo might announce a release window for Mario Kart 9.

Re: Review: Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee - A Technically Stunning Port Of The Worst Game In The Series

I appreciate that Stuart Gipp (reviewer) was transparent about his reason for the terrible score, this is his least favourite Oddworld game. I loved this game on the original Xbox, and it's awesome to have this version to play on the switch. Bottom line: This port won't change your mind about the original game, but if you enjoyed playing it on the Xbox, you should enjoy this update, as it runs at 60 fps in a 16x9 aspect ration (except for the movies).

Re: Review: Horizon Chase Turbo - A Worthy Successor To Sega's Out Run

After downloading and playing last night, this game might have gotten pushed out of the gate a little too early.

It crashed twice on me within a 2 hour period, freezing once while loading the next CA track, and once while trying to save after racing one of the tracks in Brazil. Both times it was necessary to quit out to the main menu and re-start the game.

The other issue I'm seeing is the frame rate. Sure, it runs steady at 60 fps most of the time, but once or twice during most races that I completed it will suddenly stop for half a second. These momentary pauses pull you out the experience, and I crashed a couple times from being distracted.

Hopefully they will release a patch to address these issues. Still very playable, but with a few annoying bugs.
