I’m convinced this will get free DLC, which helps mitigate the price. I also bought physical knowing switch carts have an almost ridiculously good resale value. So if it’s not for me, I can probably sell and the game will have cost me £20, £30 in real money. But I’m hoping there’s weeks of fun to be had. By comparison, I saw The Shark is Broken at the theatre recently – treated my other half and it cost me £90 – that was just under £1 a minute!
Was sad to see the end of GAME's trade-ins as we're now left with the greedy ***** at CEX. Went in today and they had a second-hand copy of Kirby and the Forgotten Land for £2 more than most new retail copies. They wouldn't drop the price so I left. I assume it will just sit there unsold for months to come.
@Medic_alert Couple of YouTube videos, plus it appears to be in the small print all over the Switch 2 Edition boxes. I believe it to be true, and it's really lame. Couldn't even be bothered to recompile the thing and make a new cartridge.
I just found out today that some Switch 2 Edition games are actually Switch 1 carts in the box with a download code for the Upgrade Pack! Man what a rip-off. I may as well buy Mario Party Jamboree second hand as cheap as I can and just pay the upgrade when I get the console.
@OldGamer999 Yeah, I went physical for resale value. I'll probably pick up Mario Party Jamboree and Donkey Kong the month after. Looking forward to it – assuming my preorder comes through okay.
@OldGamer999 Yeah, first preorder after the console was a Pro Controller, followed by MKW. Im sure mouse mode is fine in Mario Party, but that’s not why I’m buying the console. But maybe there’s a Pro Mouse in the pipeline…
