I am currently at the Nintendo Museum for the first anniversary.
Currently guests may only purchase one copy of the Nintendo Museum Official Book. This means that you cannot purchase both the English and Japanese versions at the same time. Your play ticket is scanned to confirm if you have already made a purchase that day.
While I will not share scans of the book, there are forty pages of content including a brief overview of the museum exhibits, merchandise, and brand new interviews with Miyamoto, Tezuka, Nakago, and Kondo. It also features scans from the art gallery.

I usually wouldn't respond to this, but the title Unpacking is actually properly trademarked by the developer. Furthermore, at the cost of being pedantic, technically copyright is applied the moment content is created and shouldn't be conflated with the legal process of combatting infringement itself. However, in this case, it's the trademark that is seemingly being infringed upon, not the actual copyright of the content itself.
@Teksetter We have a few bugs that we've recently patched out of the Steam version, in addition to quality of life updates, but the game does not have any known game breaking issues on Nintendo Switch.
@somnambulance We are hard at work to make sure that we can continue making updates, new content, and more games in the future! We really appreciate everyone's support during this process. As always, I'm more than happy to address and questions or concerns players may have!
@rjejr Hello! I'm the producer for Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus. The developer who I represent, Squid Shock Studios, is still around and kicking. We're actually putting out a statement soon about this ordeal. However, the publisher for Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, Humble Games, shut down. We have a few issues to sort out right now, as we'll reveal soon, but our development team and the publisher are totally separate. Happy to answer any questions though, but only as the producer for Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, as I have no relation to Humble Games and cannot speak on "their" behalf.
I want to mention as well that as a developer, when pitching games to publishers or even making proposals internally within studios, we give brief one or two sentence descriptions that often utilize comparisons, because it conveys the concept in a succinct manner. Although we generally try to create unique experiences, there will always be genre defining games across all platforms.
@Spoony_Tech The design of Bō is based on kitsune masks in Japan, as well as flower petals. Although we were brought onto the project after the initial concept and fundamentals were established, we're excited to have the opportunity to work on something that we can bring our own ideas into as well. We endeavor to create a unique experience that is not an effortless imitation of something else.
@kayleedayo On at least one other occasion, Iwata also attributed the name to 2000 A Space Odyssey as well. Of course, being ahead of IBM is the most widely accepted inspiration for the name.
@Pod The Japanese government cannot legally impose a lockdown on any Japanese territory, per the 1947 Japanese constitution. One issue we have in Japan was that we weren't testing because of new legislation last month than required all COVID-19 patients to be hospitalized. Furthermore, they wouldn't test without symptoms and if you couldn't prove contact with confirmed cases. Until this week, we had only tested 20,000 patients, ranked 50th of the world.
@bluesun Fair enough. I’ll rework it out of my initial summary and into a direct translation. I had initially worked this article out of my Twitter thread in which I posted a summary as I was translating live. Evidently it did not transfer well into an article. Apologies for the inconvenience.
@Galenmereth I translated the column myself. This is a summary of the column and not a direct translation. 日本に住んでいて、日本語が分かりますよ。I’ve gone ahead and added that this is an in-depth summary at the beginning of the article. This is absolutely 100% my own translated summary.
@AlienX Having been on the development team of AM2R, we all knew the risks the entire time. We believe the unannounced remake of Metroid 2 conflicted by the end of development, and with the wave of popularity that hit AM2R, Nintendo had no choice but to intervene. They gave us about a week though, so that was something.
