That carry case featuring Diablo III on it looks nice, hopefully it's as substantial as the Zelda: Breath of the Wild case as I can vouch for its sturdiness.

I thought that low-level hum sounded familiar, it all makes sense now.

That stream may well have been awful at times but the Sonic Mania reveal made it almost worth staying up for.

Was that really over a year ago?

This probably won't be anything less than £49.99 but I would like to think that Nintendo might price it at £29.99 but I doubt that will happen.

Some solid pieces of art there for an intruiging brand-new IP which I personally can't wait to hear more about in this evenings Nintendo Direct in just under six hours.

@joey302 Aren't we getting Samurai Shodown IV tomorrow? (unless I've got that confused, which is entirely possible)

If it's any consolation, the Switch has gone to a household which has a lot of love for Nintendo and it will certainly be put to good use.

I just entered the competition like everyone else, not actually expecting to win.

Though if it makes a difference, soon after launch I had a second Switch from a backup pre-order that I sent to someone so that they could enjoy the console earlier than anticipated and not worry about paying me anything until they have the money in a few months, interest free of course; I'd say that's in the spirit of things surely?

Anyway, I don't wish to point-score or cause any unrest but if I've caused any unwanted friction by entering this competition then I'm sorry for that but the console will be used to "Spread the Switch Love" as ultimately my younger brother will end up with the Switch when he decides to claim it - free of charge - which he likely wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.

I don't see that this is any different than if he had entered the competition himself personally.

And it has arrived today, thanks again to everyone involved in making this competition possible.

My younger brother said he'll likely claim ownership of it at a later date when there's more games on it he wants to play but until then it will mostly be a living room console for the whole family to enjoy, it will be nice to have another Switch dock so that I can use my Switch on the TV downstairs as well at times plus it will come in handy for trying out local multiplayer when Mario Kart 8 DX comes out.

@Toadsfriend I trust that you received your Switch in the post and that all is well? T-Toadsfriend...?

@antdickens well this is a nice surprise, I generally don't tend to win anything so thank you to the generous person who donated these prizes and thank you to Nintendo Life for hosting this competition.

My younger brother who is a huge Nintendo fan but doesn't have the money for a Switch right now will surely be delighted with this so thank you on his behalf as well.

If I were to win anything then I'd likely share the prize with someone in my family, in the spirit of being giving as I already have a fair amount of gaming items.

Interesting... Not much else to say other than that at this point as it raises more questions than providing any real answers being that everything is currently pure speculation.

Grass types have always been my favourite choice at the start.

Though for most generations, my younger brother and I would perform the "trade trick" in order to get all three, best of both worlds!

Playing through Yellow version recently has been a treat though as it's nice to have access to all three original starters with no trading involved.

Bulbasaur is far from useless though, that's what I'm saying.

In any case voting for the most useless starter Pokémon is a bit of an oxymoron as they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

I just wanted to express my preference towards Grass-type starters as they seem to be underrated.

Shameful... Grass starter Pokémon forever here!

Bulbasaur will always be the very best. (like no one ever was)

Genuinely fascinating stuff.

The amount of things there are which can be learnt about classic videogame hardware such as the Game Boy astounds me.

All they had to do was look at the box of the product that they were 'reviewing'... Surely that's not such a difficult thing?

I'm new to this site but I've been a 'follower' since the very start, I figured now is as good a time as any to sign-up.

If I were to win the grand prize then I'd almost certainly be saving the majority of the eShop credit for the Wii U then whatever is left would go on the 3DS eShop, probably a £75 - £25 split but either way I know that none of it would be wasted.
