Re: Review: Spelunky 2 - A Masterclass In Great Roguelite Game Design

@baconcow This is why there are comments under the reviews. You can ask what interests you. Yesterday I spent a lot of time in the second part. At all locations, except for the volcano, there is no drop in the frame rate, no graphical glitches. The control on the small buttons of the joycon.... is unusual. Fingers got used to dualshock 4. Added pvp on one console in the arena. And the review is designed more for new players than for experienced speleologists.
UPD: I am updating the information on optimization. Everything is bad. The developers apparently thought that no one except Twiggle is engaged in collecting gold. I started blowing up levels, waiting for the ghost and... at 6-1 in the second stage of the ghost, everything is VERY bad. By eye, it sags to 10 frames. I had to finish it, and I didn't even destroy half of the location. In the evening, I will record video through the capture card, I will see how the game behaves in stationary mode.

The best game is now on the switch. With the most crazy generation of levels and enemies, with a ton of content and hundreds of options for passing certain paths. According to optimization, I have already noticed once a slight subsidence in the frame rate in the volcano, when there is a lot of lava and ladybirds. And so far everything is perfect. For fixing the elixir, a low bow to Derek. You can't find a better game on the platform now.

Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection - Ryu Hayabusa Deserves Better Than This

So far, I tested ninja trials in the first and second parts and ran a little in the third. I agree with the review about the drawdown of frames and the overall picture. But nothing surprising, from today's team ninja, I did not expect anything else. The main thing is that the games are now on the switch. They certainly will not be corrected, you can not hope. No patch was released on Vita at the time. The publisher threw the ports in the store and this is the end of the matter, based on how easily they cut out the online co-op, excusing themselves that it was difficult to implement it, a stupid excuse. And the bot in the second part dies just as easily already on acolyte, what to say about ultimate ninja..

@PJOReilly With the first discount for sure, I really liked this game on PC. But I'll hold off for now. In any case, thank you for the information, I did not mean to offend you or reproach you in this way. It's just not nice that developers are starting to be careless about porting old projects to the Switch. Naturally, in such a hurry, I can also offend the reviewer, saying that they did not take into account all the nuances very carefully. If there are any technical difficulties, then it is better to abandon the porting altogether and not disgrace yourself. For this, users give money and not small ones. This is similar to the situation with the PS Vita.
P.S. Here is a recent good example. Everyone constantly scolds Electronic Arts, and they took and provided people with wonderful Need for Speed and Burnout ports. I barely broke away from the first one, although I passed it more than once on other platforms.

And dear editors, in order to avoid such misunderstandings, reviews should be supported by video materials, since it is difficult to understand the status of projects from screenshots. The usual advice from a mere mortal.

@Sabrewing The most common excuse and spit in the face of new players. Developers have already sat in a puddle three times: 1) When the original Part 3 was released; 2) When Sigma 2+ was released for PSVita; 3) And here it is, again, a re-release for all platforms of the Sigma version. No Part 4 is out of the question, with this approach to fans, new players, and the franchise as a whole. Rebalance the first 2 games (adding more enemies, bringing back the big shuriken in Part 2), that's what they had to do. In the meantime, the future of the series is not very happy.
