Re: Don't Worry, You'll Still Have Access To "Certain Things" From Animal Crossing's DLC When Your NSO Sub Expires

Quix

Hmmm???... I was hoping for the expansion to be at 30 to 40 bucks at the least, don't think the library is big enough for that price, the Animal crossing DLC does makes this a little better to digest. Really on fence for this one, probably just gonna buy the DLC and wait till the library for the expansion to get bigger, which I know it will. Or we can all voice or complains, make enough noice, and Nintendo will listen. But as of now I guess I'll stick to my previous plan and hope Nintendo sweetens the deal more . =:3

Re: Talking Point: As The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Is Shut Down, Where Do You Stand On Nintendo's Takedowns?

Quix

Is funny how we have this double standards in the artists and gaming communities. Whether you're in DeviantArt art, tiktok or itch.io the second someone tempers or takes another's artist work without permission everyone comes in arms to protect the artist who's work was messed with. So why is it that it is ok when is done to a major corporation??? Remember Nintendo compromised of hundreds of people who work day and night in this projects some of them are still there since the NES era, this IPs are their blood, tears, and life's work. Enough with this fan arrogance of entitlement, bottom line is this IPs belong to a company, people, that have pour their life into this projects and no one has permission to do what they like just because they are a long time "Fan". As an artist and developer, I wouldn't like people messing with my work just because they believe they have every right too because they are a "fan", that entitlement is not justifiable. Ask permission. Period. If it's not yours don't touch it, do your own damn art and work. So if you don't have the common decency of asking permission, no matter who you are and who you are asking then don't start acting like a victim when things don't go your way just because you refuse to do things right knowing damn right that what you're doing is wrong. No, been a "FAN" or consumer doesn't entitled you to a damn thing besides getting what you paid for. =:3

Re: Gallery: Check Out These Famicom Detective Club Original Vs. Remake Shots

Really interested in this games, the art, slight animated still, well just the whole aesthetics is really appealing to me. Wish it would get an English dub, not a fan of japanese voice actors, too cringy even if it's the country if origin. Hopefully it gets popular enough like fire emblem and we can get it truly localized =

Re: Nintendo Accused Of Allowing "Pirated Software On The eShop" By GBA Emulator Developer

Quix

Stole??? More like took back. Sorry, whine all you want but emulation or not is still Nintendo's. I'm glad that this happen it will discourage pirates and thieves from taking or working on IPs or projects that original didn't belong to them. Work as hard as you want on something that didn't original belong to you it still won't make it yours, glad Nintendo has ways of showing this message, just don't miss with Nintendo, they don't play around, period. Besides is freeware, so yeah, you all may not like it but nothing bad happened here. =:3

Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Blue Switch Lite Colour Argument With Handy Comparison Video

Quix

@bluebonics Of course color dominance is important, like I stated before, talking about "color theory" we see things as primary, secondary colors with an addition of white or black for tone. Like pink been actually "red" tone down by the addition of white, or "crimson" been red tinted by black. What your talking about is a more commercial approach not used in color theory and that is what I was referring too, which is the bases of all design theory, so it's a big deal. Also, I majored in Media arts and animation, some in game art design, and minor on art and design. =

Re: Soapbox: I Never Completed Breath Of The Wild, And I Never Will

Quix

This was a rather pointless article, wasn't even a fun, nor good read, focus should be on Nintendo related articles not about nonsensical gameplay of a individual gamer. Really thought this was about a glitch or something, because it happened to me on my minish cap copy. I understand you got a quota to fill so try something more exciting next time than making it about yourself. Don't mean any disrespect but there is a time and place for stuff like this, like a personal blog, in my opinion Nintendo life should be for Nintendo related news that inform and benefit the Nintendo community. I feel people saw this as click bait and nothing more reason why some are rather irritated especially when most rely on this website for actually Nintendo related news. =:I

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

Quix

@Richnj what part of Nintendo owns this trademarks that they pay millions to protect you aren't getting. Yes, if Nintendo so choose to they can take it, what ever they want that has their property or likeness on it, they have every right, is why they crack down on anyone using their IPs or messing with there image, which they almost always win. Make all the conveniently well made analogies all you want, but you can make 1+1=5. Learn a bit about art and law fallowed by copyrighted infringement before opening your mouth, this ain't Deviantart kiddo =:3

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

Quix

@lordzand You guys just don't get it, just because you take some else's work and add your own Jazz doesn't make it yours. Nintendo taking their IPs away from fans or people who took it in the first place without permission isn't stealing. There is a reason non of this perpetrators can't do anything about it. For all you know they did send a cease and desist, or probably will once they find out someone is messing with their IPs. By law is theirs and they can take it back, whither you like it or not is facts no argument here =:3

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

Quix

@Richnj is actually my own fan art and I'm not distributing it, my profile pic is the only instance you will find this pic. Never did I claimed that I owned Goku or attacked Tobi animation or Toriyama for using my art based on their well respected trademark that they ligaly owned. If I did, then yes I would be a thief. Nice try =

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

Quix

@Screen Not true at all, Mario is copyrighted protected , anything with Mario on it belongs to Nintendo, this ain't Deviantart, just because you made doesn't necessarily means it belongs to you especially if said art represents a characters that's is pretty much the Face of video games. Making art of someone else art without permission is stealing isn't not??? =:3

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

Quix

Sorry to break out to you all but the real thief here ain't Nintendo, Mario is a copyrighted trade mark and upon using any imagery of said trade mark without Nintendo's permission is stealing. This ain't Deviantart is the real world and this is how you truly protect your art and properties. There is nothing the other artiest at play can do, is not his character or art despite the work he put in. You don't praise another artist for tracing someone else artwork and admire how alike and talented that person is, right??? Like someone said, this is most likely a Universal mistake not Nintendo, probably had the intern do it, but non the less an honest mistake, if you want to call it that, Mario is Nintendo's no matter how you paint em or render for that matter. =:3

Re: Capcom To Share "Brand-New Information" About Monster Hunter Rise This Month

Quix

@ChaosBadger777 Speak for yourself, World's novelty wore off really quick and many of us jumped back to MHGU. Capcom had the right Idea of keeping the real monster hunter on the switch and creating a new series for those who love eye candy. Hope Rise get the real treatment we all truly wanted, seamless maps and updated animations, but leave everything that made MH unique intact, unlike worlds. =:3

Re: Capcom To Share "Brand-New Information" About Monster Hunter Rise This Month

Quix

@JaxonH Look fair enough, not gonna bash anyone for liking the game, is Good, Is just didn't feel like Monster Hunter, became a generic game that lost what made it unique. I'm a monster hunter fanboy far most than anything, I go where ever monster hunter goes and screw the cost or system. I don't bash games I haven't played or beaten I personally spent over 400 dollars to play Worlds alone, but they did exactly what I didn't want em to do , what a lot of veterans didn't want em to do. Go on Steam, after Worlds novelty wore off all the true reviews started to show up and a big spike down hit Worlds and only went up a few after Iceborn. I can right a book of everything they removed from Worlds, not including the convoluted mess just to play online was, and even with the addition of Iceborn the roster was hardly anything to shake a stick at compare to other monster Hunters. They touched the core of the game and removed a lot of the formulas and complexity they game original had so I don't know what you are talking about. But I can easily break down Worlds for you compare to MHGU and you can easily see the World's was a mediocre game at best compare to the other MH, hidden behind high end graphics and beautiful scenery. Now if they can keep the core mechanics intact, and gives us those nice graphics, and polish animation, then you will really have the Monster Hunter we all want. Which I'm hopping Rise will deliver. =:3

Re: Capcom To Share "Brand-New Information" About Monster Hunter Rise This Month

Quix

@BoyfriendOfDeath well worlds would of been nice for beginners, my problem was how bare bones it was and pretty much how there was nothing for veterans to enjoy, game was really dumb down. You could pretty much complete everything in 60 to 90 hours. Sure may seem like a lot but it was nothing compared to 500 to 800 in the other games. They messed with a lot of core mechanics that made the game great, which rubbed me and other veterans the wrong way. Again great for beginners since the other games weren't that easy to pick up and had a steep learning curve but will end up been a great experience if you stick with em =:3

Re: Capcom To Share "Brand-New Information" About Monster Hunter Rise This Month

Quix

After buying and Xbox one just for the huge disappointment that was Worlds, I just been washing off the bad taste with Monster hunter generations on the switch. Can't believe how much replayability it has compare to worlds. They touched the core of the franchise to turn it into an eye candy , dumb down piece of crap. Glad I helped all my hunter buddies dodge that bullet, like a reviewer said "They just took the hunting outta Monster hunter with Worlds". Now again, all they had to do is clean the game up, don't fix what ain't broken, give us maps with no loading screens and a touch up on the graphics, that is it. That said, this Monster Hunter seems promising, give me a switch theme monster hunter and I will buy it, I will buy an entire system just for one game, and that's Monster Hunter =

Re: Best Of 2020: 6 Things My Three-Year-Old Taught Me About Video Games, Via Animal Crossing

Quix

@NoTinderLife No it isn't, is all presented as a choice, you don't have to do none of that if you don't want to. Difference is, as a child you see the fun and enjoyment in everything. As a sad adult you have been condition by other adults to see otherwise, you been a perfect example. Take it from this 3 year old, nothing wrong with picking a flower and enjoying running around for hours with no purpose than just pure innocent fun, and if a wasp ruins your day, there is always tommorow =

Re: Random: Disgruntled Fans Spam Nintendo Tweet In Response To YouTube Soundtrack Takedowns

Quix

First of is the main head quarters in Japan that did it, why spam the UK??? Lol

Anyhow Nintendo is relicensing their material because they are still using it, no companies take care of their franchises like Nintendo. How many iterations have we have gotten of Ocarina of time, even Wind waker got an HD remake, we have Nintendo classics in the paid subscription which is 20 bucks a year and still growing, not mention the mini systems they release, to even the new Mario 3D all stars and that is just to name a few. To say Nintendo is just gonna let all there old or classic stuff die out means you know nothing about Nintendo. The reason they are cracking down is because they are still using all their IPs old or new the classic library is only gonna get bigger and more 3D all stars are coming in the future. Not to mention their is legal ways of listening to all this, you not wanting to pay is your problem. =:3

Re: Random: Wow, The PS5 Really Does Dwarf The Switch

Quix

I always wait for console ver. 2.0 if history has reminded us is that the first wave are never that great or as good as they can be, with the exception of Nintendo. So I'm gonna wait like always on this big boys till much later, till then I got my switch and PC to keep me pretty busy =:3

Re: Switch Has Now Been The Best-Selling Console In The US For 22 Consecutive Months - That's A New Record

Quix

@SwitchplayerJohn Not really, Nintendo already has the top battle royale games and a plethora of third party games, not to mention it is the go to system for massive library of Indie games especially on the go. And unless you have been living under a rock a lot of this companies already planning dedicated games especially for the switch, EA is already working on an extended Need for speed library for the switch as we speak. Just cause it doesn't have all major or maybe your favorite 3rd party games it doesn't mean the Nintendo switch is lacking, far from it and as you can tell is doing pretty well for it self =

Re: Nintendo Wins $2 Million In Lawsuit Against Switch Piracy Hack Store

Quix

@Piyo Sure, but Nintendo has every right to it, it is theirs, we can act as entitled all we want but this games and franchises belong to Nintendo. We are just paying to enjoy the ride, you wouldn't like it if someone stole your hard work and did what ever they want with it would you??? Don't just talk like a consumer put yourself in the shoes of every hardworking developer, modeler, programer, animator , ect. ect. Their is really a lot we all ignorantly ignore just for our benefit as consumers =:3
