I've not read the article yet. But here are just my 2 cents on the topic. Reviews and Average Scores (e.g. Metacritic) matter to me a lot. I'm only able to buy 1 game a month and own both a Wii U and 3DS. I only want the very best games and just cannot afford to buy much more than that. That being said, I'll make exception for indie games and stuff that I feel like supporting and on the other hand don't support watered down ports like Mass Effect 3 for Wii U no matter the score.

@crumpledpapyrus Hey, just received another Email from Facebook. Nintendo is renaming the "Wii U" page as well. It'll be called "Nintendo Console Gaming" from the 20th of September onwards...

I will definitely get a copy when the next update hits and the price is at 9.99€ or below.

The kickstarter video for the project was just too indefinite. And the short parts of actual gameplay footage (?), where they actually showed the game, looked like Fish Frenzy for the iPad...

Good to see Developers speaking up. It pretty much seems that it is really up to the publishers nowadays and that they just don't like to support Nintendo for some reason.

@AbeVigoda I agree there. I must say I heavily rely on Metacritic scores nowadays. I just can't afford to buy every game I'm interested in and like to play it save there. If a game gets a 80%+ score and I'm already interested in it, I'll get it. I love to support very good games, especially indie eShop games with a good score.

As an eShop title for 10-15 euros... I'd think about it. Retail for over 25 euros? no way!

And I had higher hopes for Chasing Aurora being a good game. Reviews ended up mixed and mediocre. Plus it's Multiplayer only?!
