Re: Guide: Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards

@DrDaisy indeed, it's imho the biggest flaw of the switch. Plenty of games I only play docked. It's only a selection I play handheld. As an all digital fan, I'm not blind to it's biggest con. There will be a day the shop's plug will be pulled... And it would be rather nice to have access to your digital game library after that happens instead of having to resort to hacked Switches and roms for playing your legally owned games. A harddisk wired to the dock would be the number 1 solution to that.

Bought it yesterday. Without realizing the file size was a real heavy hitter on my memory. Though I already needed a bigger sd card. So in the end it costs me € 2,99 + 512 GB Kingston Canvas Plus a raison of € 73,90.

But already downloaded on a spare card and played it for a few minutes. For this pricepoint and totally ignoring micro transaction content, it's quite decent. Except it's file size. But then again, everything looks quite polished for a game on a Switch. But my educated guess: with more optimized programming and textures suited to the Switch limited capacity in processing power and video output, it would still be a good looking game with at least 25 GB less waste of space..

Payed loot is just as immoral as illegally using code that enables using loot. For Amiibo figurines there is something to say for in favor of the value the figurine adds. But for the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards is imho nothing to say in favor other than it's pure loot.

For me, payed loot in any form spoils gameplay. It's like having a copy of a game which is crippled by default so the publisher can make more money of it. But then again ACNH is perfectly playable without. But I rather see payed loot be a thing of the past. But corporate culture and easy money...
