It's amazing how games can impact our lives and influence us. I got pretty hooked on Grand Theft Auto, which is why I'm currently serving a life sentence in a maximum security prison.
I went dressed up as Mario but got the wrong day, then I got beaten up on the train home by some thugs who were laughing at me in my costume, and when I returned home from the hospital I found my wife had left me. On the plus side I got a new pair of socks, so it all evens out.
@abbyhitter Trust me, with shoddy, buggy releases like the last Assassin's Creed, all major platform owners are no stranger to being dumped on by Ubisoft.
@Desy64 If the new Zelda doesn't come to WiiU then Nintendo have screwed me over. I was late to the party and got the console for MK8, but more so for Zelda U. I'll not be getting the NX on principle, as stuff like this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I'll stick with my PS4. Shame, the WiiU is a great little console with some fantastic games (eventually), but it seems as soon as they made the console worth buying, they kill it off within a year or 2. This is the time they got a big boost in sales (understandable, since there were finally a bunch of exciting games to play and apparently on the way), so that's a lot of consumers from this period who are gonna feel burned.
I hope this is wrong and Zelda U does come to WiiU and some more decent announcements come, but it seems the NX dev kits are out there and the WiiU is already being lowered into it's grave, even sooner than I feared.
Rant over, back to Yoshi's Woolley World and The Journey. Ahhhh, that's better.
@Caryslan I'm being completely serious. With slightly improved lighting and a minor touch up of the car models, Pole Position would look at least as good as Project Cars running on a monster PC, and the AI is already spot on. Just check out the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gzWsIJQTKY
Couldn't they make it to into a 2D top-down game in the style of Super Sprint? Or maybe use scaled sprites for a Pole Position look? Does the WiiU have mode 7? Just throwing ideas out there, and you'd barely notice the difference from the other versions. You're welcome.
@Quorthon I'm no Nintendo fan boy (I own a WiiU but my primary console is PS4), but those 3rd party games really are poor conversions. I played about 30 minutes of deus ex before I had to give in and trade it. As with most third party games, the frame rate was lower than it's PS3 counterpart, in this case to the point it was a pain to look at and aiming was a chore. The first party games look and play amazingly, but third party games all show signs of struggle with the system and compare unfavourably to last gen versions.
I find it sad that a shortage of new games leaves us desperately trying to justify something that is clearly underwhelming to say the least. And Nintendo Life, I know there was some backlash to your previous article on this game, but at least stand by your opinion.
@Mijzelffan I think the 'whining' is aimed at the fact that resources went into making a game that few to no people care about rather than something they want. I know it's not that simple; this being something relatively quick and easy to knock out, you couldn't say it was done in place of a AAA game, but announcing games like this and Federation Force when there were no new crowd pleasers announced at e3 was a tad clumsy of Nintendo, and the games will be the target of peoples hate and disappointment as a consequence.
Personally I could care less, the game doesn't interest me, but I understand that we wouldn't have got the Metroid/F-Zero/3d Mario/whatever we wanted in the time it took to make this by a long shot.
By the way, you may want to edit the swearing from your post or at least keep an eye on it. I used a far less offensive word (not even swearing and used light heartedly), and rather than just deleting or starring it out, it was adjusted by the mods to an embarrassingly lame, family friendly alternative. Just a heads up 😉
Congrats on making a 7 and a half minute video of the 'cool bits'. I would have struggled. Fingers crossed (hopefully not naively) for some geniunly cool news in the next Directs.

I just hope they can capture all the key plots points.
Re: Weirdness: GAME Gift Card Slip Up is Awkward, Though Not a Sign of Troubled Times
I once accidentally ordered 3 pens at work instead of 2. That was 14 years ago, and we still laugh about it today. Good times.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Celebrates His 45th Birthday
It's my birthday on Thursday, but I bet Nintendo Life doesn't do an article on me. Way to ruin my birthday guys, real classy.
Re: This Controller Wants to Bring the 'Next Gen' to NES
@Ayronom It's for all the NES first person shooters.
Re: Movie Review: Pixels Proves Once Again That Video Games And Film Do Not Make Good Bedfellows
So Happy Gilmore remains as Sandler's only good movie. Seriously, how can one guy be in so many films and have a near 100% fail rate?

Re: Nintendo NX Might Be The First Social VR Platform, Claims Analyst Firm Digi-Capital
Doubt this. The NX is apparently 'revolutionary' and 'unique'. A VR system would hardly fit that description these days.
