Re: Hori Is Reviving Its Fighting Commander Pad For The Super Famicom Mini

Other-Brother

@ParSnake These 6-button pads work better for me because I use 3 fingers on the buttons not just a thumb. Index, middle, and ring fingers that is. But most people would never do it this way I know! But it works for me if I rest the right side of the pad on my knee.

Also I have one of these pads for my SNES and they are good but the A Switch is too close to the Y button. I keep bumping it when I press Y for light punch if SF2.

Re: Don't Pay Over The Odds For A SNES Classic Mini, Urges Reggie Fils-Aime

Hopefully he is hinting that there will be more stock.

I still absolutely cannot believe they didn't just make the NES Mini again this year. Instead of the SNES Mini.
I want the SNES too, but I think it was a bad choice. Make more NES Mini so everyone that wants one can buy one, then do the SNES Mini next year.

(I have a NES Mini but still don't understand Nintendo's logic here.)

Re: Video: Check Out This League of Evil Trailer for Switch

Played all of the LoE games a few years ago on iPhone. They were quite playable without physical buttons which was a nice surprise. I always wanted to play them with real buttons.... but I don't feel the need to buy them again. Probably because I already have a backlog just with Switch games! A nice problem to have.

Re: Game Boy Color Screen Mod Almost Makes The Console Complete

@able_to_think
I've got one too. Wasn't hard to do and the result is amazing. Best screen, best form factor and takes AA batteries so can use it in years to come.

I saw this mod several years ago. This is nothing new. I haven't watched the video... but the mod I saw put the screen in sideways. But the case could be closed.

"We've seen various games already that are arguably enhanced by that ability to intuitively pick up and play with others."

How is that even remotely arguable? It's a straight up win!

(What isn't arguable is that arguably is NL's favorite word...)

But yes I will get this game.

Re: Feature: Our Team Reflects on a Week With Nintendo Switch

Wow some of the staff comments are crazy. No DVD player? If it could fit a disc in it it wouldn't be a portable. You guys are already saying it's too big to fit in a pocket. Geez. Joycons too small? They can't be any bigger unless the Switch itself is.

Doesn't have this or that yet? What other console had EVERYTHING day 1? Quit your whingeing NL. You are being too critical in an effort to not appear biased. This is a Nintendo site, you are allowed to be biased.

As far as my experience goes I've had no wifi issues, no disconnecting joycons, no scratches. It's been perfect.

One thing I love that I didn't expect was when I was playing BotW and the power went out. The Switch reverted to portable mode and kept going as it was in the dock. Power came back and I kept playing on the TV. Any other console and I would have lost progress. And had to wait for it to boot back up. I nice bonus due to its design.

I love my Switch. And the Pro Controller is the best thing ever.

Re: Swedish Retailer Says Its Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders Are Higher Than They Were for PS4

Other-Brother

These strong preorders are indicative of the fact that people understand the Switch concept. I'm very excited to get my hands on one. I love my WiiU but waited 2 years to get one. By then there were just too many games I didn't want to miss out on so I had to buy one.
But with the Switch I simply can't wait. I want to show it off to people - something I would never do with the WiiU...
