"We’ve also said publicly that we are already hard at work on our next home console and that’s another element we’ll be talking about much later.
Remember: Metroid Prime series producer Kensuke Tanabe, speaking with Eurogamer this week, also referred to NX as a console." - My Nintendo News
People can continue to say that means nothing, but you're just over-analyzing it at this point. The big reveal is the NX, they said they're working on their next home console, the Metroid Prime producer said the next proper game would likely be on the NX. It's time to put two and two together at this point, guys.
@Ichiban Uhh, what? Have you played Miyamoto games? Pikmin is certainly not an easy game. Also, F-Zero X and GX surely weren't slow and easy, and neither is 200CC Mario Kart. facepalm
@SFR79 Um, they innovate within their own franchises in every generation. They also ATTEMPT to innovate in the industry, but those set on Sony and Microsoft are ignoring it.
@Samurai_Goroh lol how the hell is he complaining about it? He's simply stating a fact that it takes a lot of time and resources. That's not a complaint, that's telling us it's unreasonable to release a new home console Prime game for the Wii U if they start now.
@Einherjar Banja-Kazooie/Tooie and Conker are infinitely better platformers than DK64, not to mention Blast Corp and Jet Force Gemini, which are definitely not fluff (especially the latter). Perfect Dark, on the other hand, doesn't compare to modern FPSs.
@MrGuinea The story was, hands down, the worst part about that game. Arguably the only bad (and by bad I mean inexplicably awful) thing about the game. It was a fun game, but a terrible Metroid game.
@markybbop I was really hoping that this was a joke after the first sentence. That's a terrible idea that would completely kill the franchise's prestige and the company's integrity with their core fans and critics. COD is a cheap cash grab, Metroid is not.

Re: Sega Sorry That It "Betrayed" Fans, Hopes To Win You Back With A New Game Announcement This September
@andrew20 If Sega made a new console, why on earth would they release their mascot's new game on another console? Exclusive all the way.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Talking About NX Because It Doesn't Want Rivals To Steal Its Ideas
@rjejr
