Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Wi-Fi Service on Wii and DS Closes on 20th May

NiBar

@XyVoX It's pure business. Nintendo need to sell more Wiiu's. So now it's time for your friends and the millions of ofter people playing Mario Kart online for free in several years, to show their love for Nintendo and their great games. So tell them to buy the Wiiu and Mario kart 8. Spread the word.

Re: Review: Coaster Crazy Deluxe (Wii U eShop)

NiBar

I'm not crazy ! (i'd report you Cristopher, if I could!). I have an IOS. I bought this on Wiiu and it's really fun, and I love the combination of buttons and stylus to create on the gamepad and watching the whole thing on my big screen when testing the coaster . This is clearly more a hit than a miss. 8/10

Re: Aussie Rating Reveals The Title Of Nintendo's First Free-To-Play Effort

NiBar

I really love Steel Diver. An underrated gem. With a lot replay value. Some say it is to short . I have actually invested over 15 hours. Fantastic missions in supreme 3d with great stylus control. Periscope Strike, this tasty first person shooter where you rotate with the 3ds launching missiles at ships and the tactical turn based strategy game which I played a lot with my friends, simply brilliant. A lot people have sadly missed this awesome game. I'm happily looking forward to Steel Diver: Sub Wars.

Re: Review: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Nintendo 64)

NiBar

I'm shocked ! and actually quite offended. This is maybe the best shooter ever. The reason why I bought a N64. It's a game I still play once in a while. A beautiful game with a smooth frame rate, unlike games like Turok 2, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark which was fine but sadly suffered from a bad frame rate, around 16 fps, sometimes dropping to 8 fps and below, which led to some frustating gameplay. Turok is a true classic, plays like a dream, more fun than most shooters today and still deserves a big 10.

Re: Poll: Wii U Hardware Revisions and Accessories, There's No Escape

NiBar

It would be nice if the Wii U console was scratch proof, but lots of fine scratches will appear when you just dust of the maschine .Put it up in the light and it will show. You can even make scratches by sliding your finger across it. I can now understand why Iwata used gloves to unwrap the Wii U. Maybe it's only my black one, but I doubt. I will keep mine in the dark. Luckily no scratch issues on Gamepad.

Re: Shin'en Multimedia Has Two Wii U Games In The Pipeline

NiBar

@WesCash, Sure, we could argue all day about it . F-zero is a great game and I want that to, but FAST just has some really nice different features like the black white thing, which allways keeps you on the toes , the spins in the air, good looking visuals and the delisious 60fps. making everything super smooth and the unbeatable motion steering, it just did it for me . Nevertheless, Miyamota doesn't s want a new F-zero or sadly a new 1080 or Wave race, and I think bad sales is the real answer. They all sold a lot less than expected on Gamecube compared to the N64 where they were big hits. Maybe a new Excitebike?

Re: Shin'en Multimedia Has Two Wii U Games In The Pipeline

NiBar

@WesCash. Wow wait ! Have you even played FAST: Racing League ? It's way better than any F-Zero games, and I played them all. Shin'en is more than capable of making a new F-Zero if they were asked. Their games are always high quality, just like Nintendo's.

Re: Video: Get a First Look at This Jett Rocket II - The Wrath of Taikai Teaser

NiBar

@Manfred Super , I'm really looking forward to this one. You always make quality games which is fun to play and I deeply respect your decision and hard work, to make your games run with 60 fps. without sacrificing the visuals. A super smooth frame rate makes a game a lot more enjoyable, sadly a lot of games these days struggles with a choppy 20-30 fps... I'm a big fan of FAST, but I read FAST 2 will not make it to 3ds because you weren't able to make it run in 60 fps. , any chance it could appear on Wiiu?

Re: Wii U Resident Evil: Revelations Will Not Support Wii Remote and Nunchuk

NiBar

Pro controller sucks. Nunchuck+Wiimote is the ultimate way to control a game. The Nunchuck which fits perfect in the hand. The Wiimote's smart pointer function and genius motion sensor. The relaxing way you hold them to the sides, making longer play sessions a breeze. In contrast traditional controllers like Pro controller feels like you're being 'handcuffed' making you feel very uncomfortable.

Re: Wii U Should Do As Well As The Wii, Says Developer

NiBar

I will never again return to regular controllers. Developers , Nintendo included , need to realise that milions of people prefer the nunchuck + wiimote combination. Just think how wonderful games like Mario Galaxy and Metroid the trilogy worked. Wow ,It really changed the way we used to play games and now it seems every developer just ignoring this superb, relaxing way of playing. It really makes me sad. Give us what we want and need. Nunchuck+Wiimote option in every game and I think WiiU will have a brighter future with a lot more buyers. Me included..

Re: Wii U Resident Evil: Revelations Will Not Support Wii Remote and Nunchuk

NiBar

That means no money for you Capcom. I will NOT buy your game. How can you just ignore the ultimate best way to control a game. This is Scandalous !!. Millions of people use and love playing with nunchuck and wiimote. Just look around these pages and you find a lot people saying it's their favorite contol option. When you first master the relaxing nature of nunchuck and wiimote and their posibilities you really can't go back to the pro controller. Developers need to listen to people and give them what they want and need. Game pad is fine but every control options has to be delivered. It really can't be that hard.

Re: Review: Monster Shooter (3DS eShop)

NiBar

Actually tried it on android, but found it unplayable thanks to the frustating touch analog stick. Felt a relief by playing the 3ds version with the circle pad, so yes it controls around 100 times better in comparison, but that's really no surprise. This is a fun little top down blaster, with pretty visuals. Sadly you can't take the aim assistant off, meaning you feel the computer are doing half the job . The 4 shoot buttons I feel is a little unnecessary, why not just have 1 and shoot in the direction the character is facing, like in the good old joystick days? Hopefully a little game patch soon will correct these obviously mistakes or am I dreaming?

Re: First Impressions: Pikmin 3

NiBar

@NINTENDOFACE Yeah, this will sell like hot cakes. It looks gorgeous and I'm sure it will play like a dream. Really looking forward to this one. It has been 8 long years since Pikmin 2...

Re: First Impressions: Pikmin 3

NiBar

@Wesker Not correct. Pikmin sold 1,63m and Pikmin 2 sold 1,20m on GC according to VGC, so Pikmin is a smash hit and they has actually sold almost as much as Metroid prime 2 1,63m GC and Metroid prime 3 Wii 1,33m.

Re: You Can Transfer Wii VC Games to Wii U

NiBar

Hopefully this also include Wiiware games. When my Wii got some minor damage a year ago, I bought a shiny new Wii, but with no Wii transfer tool availabe,my 30 Wiiware games are forever stuck on the old Wii, and I sadly had to buy a lot of them again for my new Wii. I will not accept buying these games for the third time...

Re: Reaction: Ubisoft Bets Big On Wii U

NiBar

Nice, but of course they will support Wii U big time. The Just Dance series sold 28 million copies on Wii, so Ubisoft can afford to take some risks on Wii U, which others maybe wont because of lesser success on the Wii.

Re: Review: Go Vacation (Wii)

NiBar

This is actually a pretty fun game. The motion control is very responsive and intuitive, but perhaps maybe some alternative boring analog controls would have been ok to include. The free roaming world is great and a joy to explore, and the activities is generally a blast and the characters is so cute to watch and beatifully animated, just like Namco's earlier Family Ski. Surely a lot of work has gone into this game. This game clearly deserves a better score, so I will give it a solid 8.

Re: Review: 3D Pixel Racing (WiiWare)

NiBar

Finally got the game and I have played this racer nonstop for 3 hours and I must say this is FUN. Yes the tilt controls is a bit loose but that is an important aspect of the game allowing you to drift your car fast and smooth around the many sharp bends which is SO enjoyable when you get used to it . Just stick with it and you will love it, but if you are put off in the start of the challenge from the rather tough cpu drivers on normal mode, don't hesitate to change to easy in the settings and you will soon be overtaking them and it's a great way to really learn and master the whole thing before selecting the higher difficult.. The retro dot graphics are beautiful and very charming and I actually noticed the trees swaying. The different weather conditions and night riding is great, cleverly disguising the only 5 existing tracks. I like the way you can bump into other cars jostling for position, it looks fantastic with good physics all around and the pit stop is a nice touch, putting some strategy in to the game when to visit the pit or not, as you car is getting damaged and you perhaps are in the lead. Racing is fast and fun but don't cheat by driving through, instead of around the bends or you will instantly be sent back on the course to do it properly, this also happen if you drive to much out of tracks which certainly makes for a fast paced game, but I like games forcing yourself to get back on track, and watching you driving offcouse in replays is allways hilarious, so maybe a selectable mode in 3d pixel racing 2?, together with a course designer and online races.. Finally I really can't understand Corbs' low score review. This is a game which is just as fun as say Mario Kart and I highly recommend it, and for only 500 points it's a must buy and even if the cost were 2000 point I would still rate this game 9/10.

Re: Review: Let's Golf! 3D (3DSWare)

NiBar

I will give it i a high 8. The game is clearly superior to the dsi version. It actually has double up in courses and characters and in glourious 3d and it's cheap. It costs only the half of the dsi version which was given a 7(!) It's clear to say that this 3d version is great value for money and deserves a lot of downloads.

Re: 3DS Mario Titles Land in November and December

NiBar

Super, it' about time we had a number, Mario Party does it all the time. So, this is Mario Kart number 7. Nintendo just wants us to remember the 6 previous and what fantastic games they were..why not also give Super Mario a number?

Re: Feature: The State of WiiWare

NiBar

Hello Mickeymac. I did not miss your point but the small internal amount of memory in the wii will make it impossible to launch a 200 mb game unless I get rid of all save data stored in memory. I actually had to put a lot of save data on my sd card the other day before I was able to launch a game. So, yes bigger games could be good but the small amount of the internal memory would stand in the way..
