Re: Feature: An Insider's Look At The End Of An Era At Official Nintendo Magazine

I picked up my first copy of ONM back when I was about 13 (2003) I think, when they were talking about Wind Waker, so well before the Chandra days and the redesign, but bought every issue every month until it ended. The days of yourself, Matt, Joe and Gav were the funniest the magazine ever was, especially considering the gaming climate you had to work in, and I absolutely adored the sense of fun and personality you all brought to it. I fondly remember growing up with the magazine, and the many times it made me laugh, so it's fantastic to hear your perspective and rememeber what a brilliant little pile of paper it was. Thanks for this, and all your work Kate, I always look forward to seeing what the whole gang do next!

Re: Rumour: Star Fox Zero Facing Development Niggles, Another Delay Could Happen

Played it at Hyper Japan last year (I'm sure it's progressed lots since then) and was honestly underwhelmed. As a long term fan, this obtuse control method, whilst functional, is not the ideal way to play the game. I want precision, I want response, just like Smash Bros/Mario Kart, I want to feel the immediate reaction to a button press to ensure I win. Something similar to Splatoons would have been perfect, but with the distance between gamepad + screen, and the confusing controls, I hope this game is either changed dramatically or also brought to NX. I really love Star Fox, I don't want to see it die!

Honestly I'm hoping to see Nintendo reward developers that have shown it love. So please; Rayman, Shovel Knight, Leon (Resi4), Bomberman, Wonder Red, Bayonetta, Shantae or even Layton! People that have worked hard for Nintendo deserve it more than Cloud (though I am stoked to have him included and the scope of the roster changes forever. Hopefully it gives nintendo opportunities and leverage with rival developers in the future.

I feel like if Nintendo capitalised on their IP's with something simple and innocent like this, which people would definitely buy, then they'd have more money to make new WiiU and 3DS games. Plus some games would definitely translate perfectly into IOS games. Can anybody imagine how well a Mario themed Elite Beat Agents game would play and sell? Or how about even Brain Training?
