@jariw I do talk to lots of game devs about bringing their games to Wii U and in some cases I am able to make it happen. But the games that @markybbop wants on Wii U are all probably not possible on Wii U. Valiant Hearts is a Ubisoft Game, Counter Spy is party funded by Sony (Could come to Wii U in half a year or so, like Guacamelee), Daylight is published by Atlus and not that great of a game and an Outlast port would probably have to be gimped, just because of the Wii U's power. I also always like to look for the next "big thing" rather than chasing the thing that was big half a year ago.
I understand them skipping a Wii U version, since the first one only sold 12k in the US. But I don't really see why they aren't doing a 3DS version. The game sold best on there and the user base is even bigger now. It's probably too hard to make the game for 3DS, as they would probably need a seperate development team for it.
No Wii U and 3DS version coming. A russian retailer leaked this back in May along with DmC Ultimate for Xbone and PS4. This is coming to PS360, Xbone and PS4.
@midnafanboy Definition of third party developer: Third-party developers are usually called upon by a video game publisher to develop a title for one (or more) systems. Both publisher and developer have considerable input in the game's design and content. However, the publisher's wishes generally override those of the developer.
@DefHalan It's even worse to release a bad unfinished game than a finished bad game. And adding a few more areas is not going to make up for the atrocious gameplay concept and the horrendous assests and textures.
The one thing that seperates these small, low budget games from the the bigger games with a higher budget and better presentation, is the storefront. I think that Nintendo is very picky with the games that they put up on there, since it is a general representation of the content that is currently available on the eshop. Thankfully most of these low effort shovelware titles get burried somewhere and are only viewable if you search for them and already know about them.
@Dragoon04 Yes, but that's also coming to the Xbox One now, which has the parity clause, so the dev has wait till all versions are done until they can release it on all platforms simultaneously.
@JJtheTexan HB:U has only been in development for roughly 5 months now, and they are always showing progress on twitter. They recently added effects like DOF and some other stuff. They've also been redoing a lot of the textures for the ships and some other stuff IIRC.
Could they patch NFC stuff into already released games, because "Game A" looks like New Super Mario Bros. U, "Game B" looks like New Super Mario 3D World, but I don't know what "Game C" could be.
@TheRealThanos The engine does not support Wii U natively, just like it doesn't support 360. The devs can make a Wii U game with it, but Epic won't make it as easy as an UE4 PS4 or XBone game.At first they said that UE4 wouldn't support Wii U, which is kinda like telling someone that the farm you just purchased won't actually be able to grow any crops on it, because the ground is poopoodoodoocacapoopledoopledoggiepoopsiepoops. Then they backpaddled and said that devs can make Wii U games in UE4, which is kinda like telling some that the farm that you just bought might grow something, if you replace the ground and produce your own seeds. Please watch the profanity and references to drug use — TBD
Surprised that they can include Wii U in the base goal, since the game is beeing developed in Unreal 4 and the engine doesn't support Wii U, so they will have to port it themselves, which can cost a lot of time and money.
@memoryman3 They probably mean that Sony puts a lot more AAA games on their store front, so indies have to fight to get some space on there, whereas Nintendo always has a lot of indies on their store front.
They also said in an interview that they will be doing other Wii U games as well. Really hoping that means some ports of games that are only available on Playstation/PC right now.

Re: Nintendo Highlights 'Nindies' and Their Games at IndieCade 2014
@Hero-of-WiiU Citizens of Earth is published by Atlus now. Don't know if they provided any funding. It's coming to Wii U around November.
Re: Nintendo Highlights 'Nindies' and Their Games at IndieCade 2014
@Ignatius 3DS only for now.

Re: Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns - 13th August
@Nintenjoe64 Yeah. Nicalis always takes ages to release their games. 1001 Spikes was supposed to launch in 2012.
Re: Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns - 13th August
@Nintenjoe64 Nicalis happened
Re: Majora's Mask Fan Project Gets a New Trailer, Even Showing a Scene on 3DS
@Nintendo6400 It isn't going to come to 3DS and I don't think that that is his intention, just by looking at the assets.
Re: Majora's Mask Fan Project Gets a New Trailer, Even Showing a Scene on 3DS
@Nintenjoe64 Lol it isn't. It's from the same guy that made the Nintendo-ON and the Mario Galaxy DS videos.
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st July (Europe)
@OneBagTravel What games are you talking about?
Re: Wii U Download Developers Preparing to Host a Live Q & A Chat Next Week
@midnafanboy The definition of third party is proof enough that indies are also third part devs lol Someone's a little salty

@MyMogo2 Doesn't matter. He should have waited until those were done and release the game with them. Also: A polished turd is still a turd.

@jariw Squidds Odyssey is actually a compilation of two mobile games, but they added a thrid campaign, just for the 3DS and Wii U versions.

@AcridSkull They already said no on twitter.
Re: Adventures of Pip Kickstarter Campaign Adds Wii U Support
@HopeNForever It's a multiplatform game, so it probably won't. Not every game has to make use of the gamepad.

Re: Nintendo Reports Financial Losses As Expected, Along With Modest Wii U Sales Targets
@yuwarite the general public won't buy a Wii U for VC. They'll buy it if there are new good looking AAA games out for it.

The loss is still better than the 1.1 billion loss Sony will announce at their meeting lol

@Dreamz Of course it'll be eshop only. It's a darn indie game.
