I've had my dead dad's account with its single game on it for over a decade that I still access occasionally to play that game. if Nintendo (and the other console makers) has its way, I'm breaking the law.
those don't have consistence in exercising their rights to lose them--you bought it, you own it: that's the beginning and the end and all in between.
just started Rakuen: Deluxe Edition & why was I born - both of them March release; so I don't really know why they're not here, but the first is definitely much better than the later.
Rakuen is a re-release for a computer game originally released in 2018 that reminds me a lot of to the Moon. highly recommended!
why was I born is a marble life Sim in the loosest sense :in the sense that all the levels are inspired by the various life stages of human being - except you're a marble. controls are kind of iffy compared to something like paper ball or marble it up, but it's an interesting concept. definitely for diehards of the weird, which I am
dredge is near perfect and qualifies as a cozy game with horror leanings.
haven't played meg yet, although I did pick it up.
the whole point of paying a premium price for games is so I never ever have to see a micro transactions screen for basic gameplay features.
more importantly, because they're gambling with real money, this game is going to be highly illegal in Most states in the US --I hope the litigation burns the company to the ground if this is the Direction they're going.
way back when when Chrono cross first came out, I pre-ordered it through the mail because it would come with a special statue - which of course had the case of aforesaid special statue with a dent in it when it finally arrived, because that's how those mostly import game specialty shops used to ship things.
I still have the game, and somewhere around the house is the statue in it's original dented clear case --gave it to my partner of nearly 10 years now way back when I realized her and I valued these sort of things kind of equally.
all else being equal, I would have bought her the switch version almost from the moment it came out, had it not been for the user community that warned me what a horrible port thing was.
remember, I still have the original.
most people don't.
I really hope the port gets fixed, as if you don't read the user reviews of places like metacritic, you don't realize how damning the damage actually is. almost no professional reviewers cover patches after the initial review
@Purgatorium it's not by itself, but rather a part of a collection that is cartridge only and discontinued.
you should be able to find on the second hand Market.
personally, although I like being able to play it again as my favorite 3D Mario,I don't like that they changed the way the water stream work--you can't change the pressure anymore, so it always flows with the same amount of strength.
I see the Nintendo switch as an indie machine that occasionally plays 3rd Party big releases on the cheap and almost never first party games.
from that perspective, it's been a great year for the Nintendo switch!
the only disappointment I've had is that happy humble Burger Farm seems to cause motion sickness on the switch specifically, which is a problem I haven't had in years from a video game--and I've played a lot of games.last one to hit me this bad was the original Mario 64(the DS release doesn't bother me at all motion sickness wise).
I also wish more gaming companies would put an emphasis on disability accessibility in their games - the inability to control text size being one of the biggest crimes in gaming across all the platforms. sometimes I buy the Nintendo switch version of a game just so I can use the magnifier function, which is ridiculous in this day and age.
complaints aside, however, I use my Nintendo switch every single day.my Xbox One and PC are comparatively neglected. that to me says the Nintendo switch is doing something right with its releases.
