I like Analogue's product; I don't like that they turn them into limited commodities that limit the amount out there, especially when people are using bots to resell and scalp them.
They should really sell build it yourself kit versions. If I had the electrical engineering skills I'd do it...
@Toy_Link The Game Boy also had life extending things through its lifespan- Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy camera (it had lots of commercials I remember) and most importantly Pokemon. Also depends on if the GBC is considered a unique system or a variant of the original GB...
@GrailUK I'm not so sure. Better audio, potential for cutscenes rendered in CG as opposed to in-engine (which wouldn't have aged that well but probably would have been wild at the time). But then I was a PS/Pc owner during that time and load times are usually no big deal to me.
@GrailUK Imagine an Ocarina of Time where you could save the game, quit, and start up exactly where you quit instead of in a town or the start of a dungeon.
@JHDK I won't be using it portably, so battery life shouldn't matter right? I'm not in a position to buy a new console right at this second and even then it won't be my primary system.
I agree with this sentiment. I play games to have fun, not to sate a masochistic urge to be punished. I like to see new areas of a game. I eventually give up on a lot of games (Soulsborne types, for example, though I love the atmosphere) because I'm not making progress and getting bored.
On the flip side, if I really love a game I'll replay it on a harder difficulty. I've done this with the first two Dooms and Arkham Asylum and it can be really thrilling.

Link's Awakening on Switch; OW and Injustice 2 on PS4.

Re: Yep, The Switch Has Now Outsold The NES
I mean I just got one and like it and I'm by no means Nintendo faithful, so they must be doing something right.
Re: Random: Finally, You Can Dress Like A McDonald's Big Mac In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
McDonalds Treasureland Adventure remaster when?
But real talk I'm a dyed in the wool In N Out Burger guy.
Re: Random: Epic Goes To War With Apple, Asks Players To "Join The Fight" And "Free Fortnite"
It's like watching Lex Luthor fight The Joker. The world isn't a better place if either wins.
Re: Rare Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary
@Shulkalot Perfect Dark was easily the best 3D FPS of its console generation. All comes down to the multiplayer bots, gave it endless replay value.

Re: How Well Do You Know Luigi?
He wears green, is a little taller than Mario and jumps high. My knowledge of Luigi basically stops at 1990.
Re: Video: The Switch Is A Wii U Port Machine, And That's A Good Thing
For the people like me that didn't realize the Wii U was a distinct system from the Wii, I'd say that's definitely a positive.
The Wii U's failure to distinguish itself from the little white box that ended up collecting dust on many a TV stand probably hurt the Wii U.

Re: Nintendo Official UK Store Gets A Switch Restock, Including The Elusive Coral Switch Lite
@Andee It would have the opposite effect on me.
Re: Nintendo Official UK Store Gets A Switch Restock, Including The Elusive Coral Switch Lite
@JHDK I don't have a Switch, should I wait for the Pro?
Re: Nintendo Reveals The Top 15 Most-Downloaded Switch Games In July 2020 (Europe)
@brunojenso I couldn't tell you, I had my fill of it in about half an hour.
Re: Random: Some Of Microsoft's New 'Designed For Xbox' Controllers Look Pretty Familiar
Combining aspects of two controllers I don't like. Keep hitting those home runs, Microsoft. You'll go the way of Sega soon enough...

Re: Random: World-Famous Author Included Zelda: BOTW Ingredients In His New Book By Mistake
I'd never heard of him, but he's now world famous for being a hack that doesn't investigate his sources and just copy pastes from Google.
I'm gonna pad out the Navy SEAL copypasta into a 400 page techno thriller now.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
I can't wait for the open world trend to fade. At least put a fast forward button in for those of us with lives.

Oh good, a fresh way for drivers to be negligent and wipe me out on my motorcycle.
