This was my first Game Boy game, and I still love it. I'll gladly pay $4 to be able to play it on my 3DS.

Took about a third of my free space. By the time I run out of space I'm sure to have more than a few DSiWare titles that I'd be okay with storing away on the SD card.

I really appreciate how they made the game work with only one player, but it really makes me want to play it with other people. Which I reckon is a good sign.

Well, now I know what my next Wii Shop purchase will be.

I was looking forward to Wily's Revenge, but this actually seems more hellishly difficult than the original NES games. Yay?

@53 The exact same way someone with no Internet and no friends would use them. StreetPass doesn't require or use the Internet, and you don't have to have ever met anyone you tag.

If you refer to the use of Internet for the system update, try to get access to a connection temporarily when updates come out. I'm not sure how StreetPass interactions would work when an updated system communicates with an un-updated system, hopefully the unsupported features are just silently ignored by the older system and doesn't cause problems.

And Golf as the only Virtual Console game when I already have two golf games on the 3DS. That is annoying.

Damn, that's ugly. And I'm still not clear on how it actually communicates with the 3DS. The system is not designed for control add-ons like the Wii, or even the DS.

@kingeo They did not say Europe will not get it. Isn't it a holiday in the UK? They can't be expected to announce it while on holiday.

All we've been told is that this is in some way "exclusive" to North America. Japan already has it though, so either NOA is incorrect or your interpretation is incorrect. They likely mean that it's available from the start only in North America. So Europe is sure to get it too, but as in Japan you may not be able to play it until beating the main game.

Even though Tetris for the Game Boy is mentioned here, we're still probably never going to get it on the Virtual Console. Such a tease.

Sega seems be be following Valve's example of episodic gaming. If we're lucky, we'll get the final episode before the launch of the next Xbox and PlayStation.

It's obviously a cost-cutting measure, like the other Wii revisions that you probably don't realize happened.

If you want to play GameCube games at this point, chances are you already own one or more of the following:
1) a GameCube
2) a Wii
If so, this will not affect you.

A hardware issue that can be resolved via software. Emulators on the PC can implement multiplayer. Why wouldn't Nintendo be able to implement it on the 3DS? If they cared, I mean.

I'll pass on Devil Survivor for now. I still haven't beaten it on the DS. Day six branching point.

Bit.Tip Saga is a likely purchase, unless I can be persuaded to buy the Wii version instead. Cave Story 3D and Star Fox 64 3D are potential purchases, but not guaranteed.

It's the same setup as the original DS version. I'm not sure why though; you can't even use the touch screen.

The lack of sleep mode and HOME menu access in GBA games is pretty nasty.

"All platforms" suggests there will be 3DS downloads, the so-called "3DSWare". I guess it just means Wii, DSi, and 3DS. Has there been a week when one of the three got nothing?

I'll download Avenging Spirit, and then I'll wait until next week.

Excellent. I'm a new Wii owner and I don't have any of these yet. I guess I'll be picking up Super Mario Galaxy after I beat Super Mario 64.
