I don't mind a little story in my games. It's okay if it's not as deep as a Metal Gear Solid game but I would like to me a tad more complex then the bad guy waving his wand and saying that he capture what/whoever your trying to save/collect (like in Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly).
@AlexSays: Strange. When I saw the space and the asteroids, I thought it was a new Ice Climber game. I mean how did you get Star Fox out of a scene in space, it just screams little Eskimos hitting polar bears in shorts with a hammer
Wii Vitality Huh? I suppose if they were going to bundle the sensor with Wii Fit Plus they would have said so when they talked about Wii Fit Plus during E3.
Wow Texas Hold 'Em really jumped up the chart. I guess people are getting ready for ESPN's coverage of the World Series of Poker by play some on WiiWare.
Meh...I'll just wait for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a more psychological horror game (from what I can tell). From what I heard this is just filled with jump scares, and I HATE jump scares.
I never got to play Devil May Cry or Onimusha, so maybe Capcom can port those over.
Honestly, I could care less what Capcom does, they could make RE5 8-bit if they want. As long as I get Tatsunuko(did I even come close to spelling that right?) Vs. Capcom without modding my Wii, They're A-OK in my book.
@ttplayer92: I feel your pain (not to the extent of telling a company to F themselves but still felt it). I had purchased 2000 Wii Points last weekend after beating episode 5 of SBCG4AP so I could get some games to replace it. After spending 600 on Cubello (the only Art Style game I had interest in), I was set to purchase Secret of Mana. Then I thought "maybe Earthbound will be available Monday" so I waited. As you can see We didn't get the sought after RPG but a Kirby game. This brought up a new dilemma; I hadn't played a good RPG in awhile, but I also love Kirby games. I ended up flipping a coin and the result was in favor for Secret of Mana (I spent the remaining points on Dragon's Curse for the TG-16). Oh well the next time I buy points I'll pick up this game; I've waited a long time for it's release, I can wait a little while longer.
Ya know, there's something I've been curious about. Why does the game take up four more blocks in the EU version (67) then the USA version (63)? Is there some extra content in The EU version that was cut out for the USA one?
@touffeboy I don't think Sega hypnotize Nintendo into releasing Genesis and Master System Games, I think it is just Nintendo's way of saying thanks to Sega for it's support. I mean two of the biggest hyped-up games for the Wii in 2009 (The Conduit and Madworld) are Sega titles, (although I don't care much about the Conduit, looks to much like every other FPS out there) not to mention that the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed is said to be the best version, according to Gamespot, Game Informer and IGN.
Finally Megaman's out, now people will SHUT UP ABOUT IT. XD I won't be downloading it though as I have Megaman Anniversary Collection.I won't be getting Neo Turf Masters either. After playing golf on Wii Sports, I rather swing the Wiimote around then press the A button three times. It's just more fun that way.
Umm guys... This game is also going to be released for the PC this year, according to the officail Braid Game website (braid-game.com). So I would hold-off buying a $300+ consloe just to play one $15 dollar game If I were you.
@38 Bensei and 44 Mickeymac Sorry I ment to say "Golden AXE", don't know why I said Golden Sun. @LordJamak I could also take it or leave it. Since B.C. Rearmed is available on PC (according to IGN anyway). I can just download that game whenever I want, just as soon as I can find a controller for my PC and after I buy my books this semester.
It can't be about the new B.C. appearing on other system. If that was true we wouldn't have Golden Sun or Splatterhouse on the VC anymore (since they are new version of those games coming to the 360/PS3).
I think that Nintendo rejected BC (for now anyway), becuase they have a huge catalog games they annouced and haven't released yet. The last thing they need is another high profile title added to the list of games people are going to complain about every freakin week its not released.
@Corbie: Don't worry about it mate. Your review did help a lot of people on this site from downloading PT. However, there in lies the problem. Your really one of two perople on the web that has made a review of said game (1up.com gave it a D-). Let's face it, this site does not get as many hits as the big boys, like IGN (the last Wiiware game they reviewed was Pirates). So unless the site decides to do a massive ad campaign, or get's mentioned in IGN or Gamespot, your sage advice will not reach the masses.
on this whole abandoning the VC thing, this is how I see it.
SNK: They most likely will and I think Nintendo is pushing for it. I think Nintendo feels that, if SNK is just going put all the games they want to put up on the VC on a disc, then it's pointless for them to be on the service in the first place. From a wii owners stand point it would be better to by these "collection" games in order to save memory and money or if you can never get your Wii to connect online. So if they leave, it shoudn't be a big deal.
Hudson: maybe they leave, maybe they don't. It's kinda up in the air. Hopefully they stay around to release Rondo of Blood, Star Pariodier (is that even close to how it's spelled?) and Ys.
Capcom:HA! the likelyhood of them leaving The VC is the same as Paris Hilton being called a good role model for little girls. Honestly if Nintendo didn't drop Capcom for misleading them (saying Megaman 9 was a Wiiware exclusive, as well Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil 4 were Gamecube exclusives), I think Capcom could shrug this off and continue to work with them.
@theludicrous-The show was called Man Vs. Beast, it aired on the Fox network, but it never realy cuaght on so it was cancelled (most likely PETA had it pulled for some unethical treatment of Animals).
Personally, I would like to see a new N64 game over a new SNES game, as there are a ton of SNES games that I want but haven't downloaded yet (Actraiser, Super Street Fighter 2, Legend of the Mystical Ninja). The N64 has only half the games the that the SNES has on the VC. I would like to see Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Rayman 2, Mario Tennis, or Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the service.
But if we do get a new SNES game, I hope its Kirby's Dreamland 3. I love that little pink blob.
hmm.. the way you people talk, I expected the world to end when SSR fell of fthe top 20. Oh well the world's still turning amd the game can still be downloaded, it may find it's way back on the chart one day.
Always look on the bright side of life- Monty Python
Personally I could care less if SMRPG comes out or not. I not saying I hate the game, I liked the game. The reasons I don't care is that: 1. I still have the original cart and system and they both work perfectly fine. 2. I played the game to death, I know every plot twist, secret, enemy weakness, etc. There's no challege or surprise in that game for me anymore.I want to play something I have not memorized, like Secret of Mana, Ys, or Dragon Quest.
@Supermario & Kultist- I have a feeling we will get at least one shooter next week - Star Parodier...maybe...If Marcel is correct in his assumptions in the article and we get those three TG-16 games next week.
at least you guys are taking this weeks releases well, The users on IGN are pretty pissed about it. It's not liked Gley Lancer and SFZ are going to force themselves onto their Wii menus and take up precious space they reserve for games they want. They just sit on a virtual self in a virtual store; awaiting some one to buy them. Nothing more, nothing Less.
Off topic: When the heck did we start using the term "leaderboards"? This has been bothering me for some time now. Since this game ranks players based on score (I can understanding using the term when it ranks by time) shouldn't we be calling it a high-score table like we used to? I don't no why, but leaderboard just sounds kinda elitist to me.
Heh, completely forgot about this game. All this talk of 8-bit Robots pushed it out of my head.
Anywho, This game has had me curious since day one. I may download this, not on day one mind you. I need to save my remaining blocks for Strongbad's Cool Game, (also I have no wii points). I think I'll wait for Nintendo's Memory solutions before I take a chance on MLE.
I think the reason why Star Soldier R is doing so poorly is that people would rather buy Star Soldier for the NES and/or Super Star Soldier on the TG-16 off the VC. They're cheeper (500 for NES and 600 for TG-16), they use less blocks, and have more then two levels.
