No implication? Iwata has apologised repeatedly for the lacklustre launch of the wii u and now ABSOLUTELY commits to improving next year seems quite extreme to me, especially given the Japanese tradition of taking responsibility and throwing oneself on thy own sword if you have failed. I don't like it anymore than the rest of you but I agree with how Nintendolife read this.
And accusing NL of sensationalism? These guys are probably bigger Nintendo fanboys than most of you commenting, they didn't "spin" this story for the views, they did it because they read something into Iwata's comments and fear for the company's future. Just my two cents anyway
@Marakuto I know the game's not a trial but the event is called "VC Trial Campaign" Just think its odd it costs me 70p more to import my game over rather than buy it new, or in metroid's case 1.20 more
I wonder how many people are going to misread the headline like I did and think for a brief second Conker would be gracing the Eshop with it's presence
What I'm more interested in: If the backlight is the source of the battery life being so low and the backlight is so intense to support the dimmed colours caused by the 3D, is it possible to give the battery life a good kick up the rear by turning off 3D and dimming the light?
Not that it makes much difference to me, my DS died last weekend which basically followed by me going "ah well, now I HAVE to get a 3ds" with a smile on my face
They should of unveiled all this at the conference, I thought they needed more games to sell the DS, especially since it's big selling point can't be shown over a projector screen
I agree with this score, while this game was solid there was nothing 'magic' that stood out, I daresay this is my least favourite 3d zelda yet for after completing it I have no desire to go back and replay it or even 100% it.
While excitebots may not be out here I can honestly say that it doesn't appeal to me at all and for the life of me I dunno why. It just looks like a gimmicky racer and even the extremely positive reviews can't shake that nagging feeling.
Sin and Punishment 2 is being developed by Treasure, Punch Wii is being developed by Next Level Games (people who made mario strikers), Endless Ocean by Arika, Another Code R by Cing.
Everything else you listed is unconfirmed (although pikmin was heavily hinted, they said the same about Kid Icarius last year and nothing turned up at all), with people only assuming that they're coming, for all we know they're not. So once again - what the hell are nintendos teams doing? What happened to the old days when we'd be given glimpses of games a year or two in advance and savour the long wait til we got our hands on them.
It's not just wiiware- nintendo is seemingly not producing any games at all these days. Other then wii sports resort or a bunch of GC remakes what are nintendo cooking up that we know about?
As for wiiware, while there is a lot of shovelware you'll find that with any console, as long as a truely good game (WOG, toki tori, MM9) comes along once in a while thats enough for me, though I am worried when the next great one will come along.
As for wiiware wish list, I'm still waiting on an online co op 4 swords remake, come on nintendo make it happen.
Really makes me happy to keep seeing world of goo out there, as a game gets great reviews and the sales to match it, shows other companies that if they make a great game it will sell.
Sadly it appears good (8/10) games, are a much harder sell.
500 points cheaper? What the hell are they playing at. Even the few supporters on our side of the bond cannot say that isn't a kick in the teeth to you who gave the game a shot regardless of the negativity.
And whats the size for mm9 gang?
Edit - 66? God my prayers have been answered. A good wiiware game at under 100 blocks? What are the odds.
I know it could go up but strong bad 1 was 1st the wednesday after being the previous monday. Part 2 hasn't accomplished that though. It could still go up of course but my comment was only comparing it to the first one when it first came out.
I just had a couple of games of countdown online and I really am not fond of that game mode, basically just a glorified version of tag were cheap tactics can win a match. 2 of the stages were unlockable? I didn't notice that when playing them all for all 10 were just there anyway as I went through them. The dodgebomb game when waiting for matches is also pretty fun i think

Re: Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign Schedule Released
So apparently it's cheaper for me to download Super Metroid on VC trial than transfer my actual game over? Odd
Re: Feature: 10 Essential Games For Your New 3DS
You forgot Mario 3D Land which trumps everything on that list

Re: Some Euro Wii U Buyers Reporting A Distinct Lack Of Nintendo Land In Their Premium Bundle
Does anyone know of anyone from Amazon that received the game? This disturbance seems to be limited to people that ordered from there after all.
Also did John get a replacement from Amazon or Nintendo?
Re: Some Euro Wii U Buyers Reporting A Distinct Lack Of Nintendo Land In Their Premium Bundle
Na Bennyt, the box up there clearly shows it comes with a disc.
Slightly worried about my wii u order from amazon coming tomorrow now...
Re: These Are The 10 NES Ambassador Games in Japan
10 free games? Who wouldn't be happy with that.
All honesty though it's a pretty solid line up, maybe I'll finally get round to beating Zelda 2 if I can take it on the go.

Re: Nintendo Defends European Retailers' Pricing of the 3DS
@220? That makes it the most expensive thing since the N64 am I right? Remember how that pricing ended up......

Odd to hear Turnabout Sisters theme from phoenix wright in there
Re: Practise Your Balancing with PHYSIO FUN Tomorrow
Where's everyone getting £20 from? I pay £7 for 1000 points and therefore £14 for 2000. For £14 a genuine tool to help peoples balances could be great
Re: The 3DS Might Make it in Time for Christmas Shopping Lists
Won't this have the side effect of encouraging buying and selling between parties for insane prices though?

Re: E3 2010: Trailer of Wii-Exclusive Activision GoldenEye Remake Leaks
If (key word IF) this is true I see it as a pointless waste of time and it doing a disservice to the Goldeneye name.
Are they allowed to remake rare's game straight down to the level designs legally?
Re: Kick Back and Relax with Some Super Mario Kart Jazz
It'd a lot easier saying that Bowsers Castle 3 was on the wii version
Re: Review: Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)
I disagree, I hated super paper mario because it was an outright bad game in my opinion
Re: Review: Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)
I consider this to be the worst mario platformer made, everything feels too much like work and the mario magic is few and far between
Re: Live Text: European Gamers Summit 2010
Same, saying Galaxy one came out over here the same week as the USA i'm very hopeful for a repeat occurrence.
Re: WiiWare Phoenix Wright Makes Most Of Wii Remote
Til game 4, as much as I love Klavier he is nothing on the amazingness that was Godot.
Re: All Rise for the First Phoenix Wright WiiWare Shots
Look on the bright side everyone, you can gift the games to your friends now to get them into this amazing series.
Re: Hotel Dusk Is Getting A Sequel
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!
Re: Miles Edgeworth EU Release Date Announced
I can't blame them, I imported every game after the first.
Definite day 1 buy for me, then I'm going to get nagged by everyone else to finish it quickly so they can play through it.

Re: The Grinder Is High Voltage's Second New IP
I gotta wonder why High Voltage are taking such a chance on the wii, a system which hasn't really rewarded hardcore games with great sales.

Dang, what a huge disappointment.
Re: Capcom Releases Two Mega Man 9 Downloadable Content Packs
200 points spare. only got the game last night so I can wait a while til I can attempt the endless attack. Protoman hands down for me.
Tried DLC 20 minutes ago, still nothing up yet.
Re: Earthworm Jim
Best cartoon ever. I seriously cannot believe that they marketed that to kids. Most of the jokes were way too smart for that.

Odd Strong Bad 2 isn't enjoying the same level of success strong bad 1 had.
Re: Review: Bomberman Blast (WiiWare)
I always go for random now when stage selection, that way you're gonna get two different courses to play on.
Re: Review: Bomberman Blast (WiiWare)
Your friends are evil then
Re: Review: Bomberman Blast (WiiWare)
Its still a bit low, and at times there is so many items that i can't see whats happening but thats all part of the crazy nature of bomberman.
@Drake, right don't recall doing anything to unlock em but at least happy that I have all the stages.
