Just sat down for half an hour on bomberman, not bad at all and theres a really good variety in the stages. About to go take my new mii online to get my ass kicked.
Anyways up to 8 players offline after all and you can toggle items on/off. However no one player mode at all and miis are not available from the get go. Says in manual how to get them though.
The motion stuff seems real gimmicky and means that 8 player offline battle will be very unlikely. Dunno if online can save it because i get no pleasure from beating faceless strangers online, they may as well be the computer for all i care, and very few people i know have a wii online.
As soon as they release this they then have to increase a firmware update to add more channels to the wii menu though, because we are gonna go crazy. I can't wait to fill all the menu screens up with classic games that i can't now cause of N64 titles and wiiware ones.
As for the solution expect a rip off one. But they need to do it soon for GH:WT
Its gonna be hard to go from the 5 player offline player of bomberman 93 to only 4 here. So much so that I'm having second thoughts about downloading this.
ign's review is interesting compared to yours Sammy. They call virusbuster the best thing about the game whereas it's clear you didn't really care for it at all. As a big co op social gamer i'm tempted.
Not just online- eight player offline as well!!!!! That sounds too good for me as someone who has 4 wiimotes and 4 gc pads. Not to mention better graphics and hopefully better stages.
Seems to me most people don't seek to realise the amount of strategy thats supposed to be involved with this game when they complain that its only about popping bubbles Considering the ability to pump bubbles up so they send a shock wave destorying other bubbles. The radioactive symbol and other power ups which can effect the play area helping or hindering you and an up to 4 player multiplayer mode with mario kart-esque power ups. Not to mention online leaderboard for bragging rights and a challenge. This very probably will be first wii ware game i buy when the service comes out in the uk
Can someone tell me if aside from the pokemon everywhere (which i don't mind at all) how does this compare to tetris attack which i loved (just say as good as or better and i'm there). Need a good puzzle game on the wii and this will go great along side dr. mario.
It's not that we're complaining about the free stuff, I'm all for it. It's just, for buying 8 wii games, I can get a free nes game. Since an average wii game=£40 rrp, 8*40=£320, and a nes game on the VC is = £3.50. We just feel that for spending that much money we would like more back then barely over 1% of what we spent. We obviously know we're not gonna get great deals, but even 4 wii games (£160) = a nes game would be so much better, and it ain't like the VC costs nintendo much: It's them hawking out their back catalogue and making an insane amount of profit.

8 player online and that is the whole focus of the game, no single player stuff at all unless you take on AI

8 online but as far as I can tell only 4 off.

Re: Japanese WiiWare Tuesdays
Any word on the cost to play online yet?
Re: EU VC Release - 23rd May - Paradroid
Looks can be very misleading.
Re: New Hudson WiiWare Details for Tetris and Bomberman
Ba. took the eight on the games page to mean eight player offline. Really no reason why they're shouldn't be anyway.

Re: North American WiiWare launch games
Thinking of pop. Something about it looks great to me but i appear to be alone thinking that.

Re: Bomberman Wii - First screens
The VC one was only £4.20 so was hardly a waste
That said- YES! Online
Re: Paper Mario
1000xtimes the game that Super Paper mario is. Probably the best game i've downloaded so far. Definately the best value.
Re: F-Zero X
Loved this when it was first released but it pales horribly in comparison to the great GX. Bring on WX.
Re: Pop
This game looks strangely appealing to me. For the right price i'd definitely give it a go.
Re: Bomberman
For online multiplayer i'd consider buying to go along side '93. Otherwise no dice.

Re: Bomberman '93
Anyone else notice the update to this?
Re: F-Zero X
Although I love X, GX is one my favourite racer of all time. The controls better and the story offers a fun distraction.
I don't recall x being so hard to control, and it's a bit hard using b on the GC pad to boost.
