Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's New Year Resolutions

IsawYoshi

I'm hoping that nintendo will buy square enix this year, that would probably secure a lot of hardcore gamers. (and the japanese market)

Furthermore, I think this will be a great year for nintendo. I'm 99% sure they will return to profitability. Also, looking at the number of 1st party developers nintendo got, I think that since last years e3 was so lacking of games, this years will be full of 'em. And if I'm lucky, maybe retro is developing that skyrim clone that I want.

IsawYoshi

Let us know what you think in the comments below, and check back for our Nintendo Life Best of 2012 Awards, where we decide on categories such as "Biggest Wow Moment" and "Best Third Party Publisher."

Biggest wow moment..? Well, I guess there is only 1% chance that it's bayonetta 2...

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Looking To Buy THQ's Assets

IsawYoshi

@Angelic_Lapras_King Imagine if EA thought that way when they bought developers. They would never ha bought any. My point ain't that they are as good as retro, I don't think so, but that nintendo needs more first-party games, and THQ actually got quite a few that would be nice for nintendo to have, especially since THQ is a bargain right now, and a lot of gamers think that nintendo needs more "M" rated games.

Re: THQ Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

IsawYoshi

I am hoping that nintendo will use this opportunity to buy THQ, so tat they could reinforce their number of 1 party games. That would have been awesome, and it would also have saved THQ. A win win situation. I doubt that they will do it though...

Re: Talking Point: The Challenges When Writing About Games

IsawYoshi

Nintendolife is one of the only ones that I really "trust" when it comes to video games journalism. It is not that I think that IGN or gamespot and so on and so forth is "bought," but many of them still tend to lean towards either sony, microsoft or nintendo (I am now talking about multicompany-sites like the previously mentioned, not like nl or mynintendonews). I find this very frustrating, because this can mean a lot to me as a customer when I see reviews, but I think more about the developers/publishers. When those reviews come into metacritic and such, it really can mean a lot for the sales.

Re: Review: Samurai G (3DS eShop)

IsawYoshi

@JonWahlgren I feel that people forget that people have different opinions. While most the time they are similar, or not to far from each other, there are also the cases where people can have extremely different opinions, like absolutely hate a game that most others think is good or ok. I love games like endless ocean 2 over ocarina of time (yeah, really ), and even I can see the crazy things with it. Sometimes people have different opinions, and people need to respect the large scale these opinions can come in.

Re: 3DS eShop Set for Maintenance in Europe, Right Before Nintendo Direct

IsawYoshi

I am hoping that they will upgrade the review system, so that we can see the global review counting. There are not so many reviews on the norwegian e-shop. Also, it would be great if we could see the sales of the titles.

@jahasnell They have said that it will be on the 3ds after the wii u.

@ziLToiD The e-shop will not go down for maintenance just to launch a game. Anyway, I want those games too

Re: Reaction: Wii U Preview Events

IsawYoshi

@BenAV Agreed! I saw both the american and the European conferences, and both was really great. A shame that tvii wasn't shown off to us in europe. But you can't get everything, and even so, the system is looking nice, and knowing that we will get those nintendo exclusives + eventually a good third party support means that I am on-board for launch! Nintendo land is looking surprisingly good to!

Re: Metroid Blast Joins Nintendo Land Roster

IsawYoshi

If you look at the nintendo land photos of the theme park, you can see a mark of an attraction with waves. Those resembles the ones in the O in endless ocean's logo. So I bet we will get a diving attraction.

Re: Ubisoft to Reveal Wii U Games on 4th June

IsawYoshi

@C-Olimar I hope he will return. I won't even bother seeing this conferrence because I get all the news from this site ( <3 ), with exeption of nintendos own, of cource. But if mr. caffeine returns, then I will watch it. The doodeley doodeley doo and ke-lancey never gets old...

Re: Rayman Origins 3DS Hits North America on 5th June

IsawYoshi

5th june? Isn't nintendos e3 press conference on that day? Mabe nintendo wants this to become the retail games answer so link to the past (the game that launched on the e-shop the same day as nintendos e3 press conference) and launch it online as well.

Re: Ubisoft Readying Seven Wii U Games

IsawYoshi

Speaking to investors (as reported by GamesIndustry.biz) Guillemot confirmed the publisher is a "very strong" supporter of Wii U, with five casual and two core titles in the works.

Here's the Ubisoft Wii U line-up of confirmed games so far:

Killer Freaks from Outer Space
Rayman Legends
Assassin's Creed III
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online

What??? Only two core games??? KFFOS, AC3 and TCGRO are all core games from ubi!

Re: These Are the UK's Biggest Selling Virtual Console Games

IsawYoshi

"Nintendo UK has just revealed all-time sales charts for Wii's Virtual Console, and it contains a sum total of zero surprises."

So what about this?

"On NES, legendary platformer Super Mario Bros. 3 sits atop the chart, just above Super Mario Bros. and, STRANGELY, Pac-Man."

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?

IsawYoshi

Isn't anybody reacting to this part of the article:

"James Newton
Sonic Labyrinth — Notoriously one of the worst Sonic games, I'll be seeing if it really is as bad as everyone says (hint: it almost certainly is.)

I'll also be playing two other games I can't tell you about for a few weeks. Sorry!"
