Re: Sony Vet Shuhei Yoshida Says Nintendo Is "Losing Their Identity" With Switch 2

GADG3Tx87

@kedireturns so much is wrong with what you said. Switch 2 in my region will be the same price as the PS5 digital edition once the price increases. £429.99 for the MKW bundle which is what the PS5 DE will be shortly. Which doesn't come with a game or a disc drive.

Upgrade packs are 9.99 not 20 in my region. The same as Sony charges for upgrades on PS5.

Several games have been shown supposedly running close to PS5 capability so don't know where you got the idea from that they barely run anything close to PS4. And it far outpaces Microsoft's Xbox Series S.

The price in Japan is due to being region locked which makes sense.

As for the games, again, they cost the same as any game currently does as standard where I live. As for the whole comment of remasters and remakes, Sony have literally been skating by using that same strategy with the PS5 most of the generation. Barely any new first party games. The games you listed are not first party games. Their latest offering? Another remaster of TLOU.
And in what world does a switch 2 controller look like a PS1 controller? It's a completely different shape, offset analog sticks, full cross d-pad and the triggers are different. It looks more like an Xbox controller than anything from PlayStation.

Don't know why you're so angry, but your info is so wrong. Atleast as it translates to my part of the world.
You sound like a sore fanboy, which btw, I've had every PS console since the release of the PS1 and every Nintendo console.

As I said earlier on PushSquare, they might want to think a little closer to home, Sony will be losing customers given their greedy price increases not once but twice in a generation. During a time when people are finding life difficult. I won't be pre-ordering a PS6 given their attitude and disregard for their customers. The Switch 2 however is reasonably priced in my opinion for what you're getting.
I love Shuhei Yoshida as a person though so nothing against him.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Weighs In On 'Switch 2 Welcome Tour' Controversy (Sort Of)

GADG3Tx87

I must admit I see this as more of an interactive demo and definitely shouldn't have a price tag attached. As much as I'm excited for the Switch 2 I doubt many will partake in a paid 'tour'.

Edit. Maybe if they brought MiiVerse back and the 'Mii Channel' it might be an enticing proposition.
I'd even welcome a 'Nintendo Worlds' type of thing similar to the interactive social space Sony had with PlayStation Home on PS3.

Re: Zelda Wind Waker Switch 2 GameCube Release Doesn't Rule Out HD Port

@RainbowGazelle true. But it does mean I can put the WiiU in its box that's still connected up to this day and save space under my TV. Honestly, since it's not getting used much and is only hooked up for the occasional WW or TP play through I feel like I'm dusting it every 2 days because it's always sitting there. 😂
Same with my PS3 that's still hooked up for the likes of MGS4 and Mercenaries 2, Dragon age Origins etc.

Re: Some Fans Are Drawing Unfavourable Comparisons Between Switch 2 And Xbox One

GADG3Tx87

Personally I think the price of the Switch 2 is very reasonable for what you're getting. And the price is bang on for what I thought it was going to be before it was even announced. £399 is what I predicted. And £429 bundled with the new Mario Kart is very affordable and borderline a bargain. Mine is paid for and confirmed for launch day and I couldn't be more excited.

As for the price of the games, sure it's a tough pill, but games have been priced at £70 a pop minimum since the launch of the PS5 and Series X so again it's no suprise that's where the industry has gone. Nintendo didn't start this practice, but they've followed it. Gaming is not the cheap form of entertainment it once was and is almost a luxury at this point, if people can't justify it then they'll have to find a new way to entertain themselves within their budget. Am I defending it? No, but I expected it and therefore not shocked or surprised.

@RunninBlue
Hey. Thought I'd let you know I literally just received an automated email from Aspyr saying they're receiving a high volume of emails and will address the ticket at some point. It specifically acknowledged the KotOR DLC and the complimentary game.

I left the ticket a week ago now via their support website which I had to create an account. But atleast I've finally heard something.

Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, And Persona 5 Royal Are Coming To Switch

GADG3Tx87

Really happy about this. I've been playing Persona 4 Golden on my PSVita and PS2 (original) for years. Now I get to have them on the go on a better handheld (imo).

I'll be double dipping on both PS and Switch for sure. Hope there's physical versions coming. Here's hoping SMT will break it's shackles into multiplatform next.

Now knowing that these ports are on all platforms just makes the Xbox embargo look scummy to try and get some attention. Even though the news would have surfaced it's very manipulative.

Re: "What Do I Care?" - Nintendo Hacking Mastermind Defiant As Colleague Bowser Is Jailed

@ThomastheTankEngine
Stealing is never justified. It's just people making excuses for their desire of something for nothing. If you buy games digitally you know the price that comes with it. You are owed nothing and you are entitled to nothing. If stealing was justified by your logic then if you have more money than me I would be justified in walking into your house and taking whatever I want and you can't complain or scrutinise.

If more people pirated games then it would lead to a slow death of the medium you love. It means less money for developers, which leads to less investment in their next project, which leads to mediocre games and eventually a shutdown of the developer which leads to you having no games.

Buy your games. I love games and support the hard work these people do to entertain me, if you're not willing to do that you deserve nothing. So many people are over entitled these days.

I take care of my father. I have a 16-year-old daughter, and soon a second child."

What does he want, sympathy?
He broke the law, make an example of him and widely publisize his actions and sentence.

Maybe it will finally dissuade people who say "piracy is justified because Nintendo (or whomever) is a multi-billion dollar company."

Stealing is stealing and piracy is illegal. Buy your games or I hope those of you who pirate get what's coming to you. I am in favour when Nintendo (or whomever) take action against these people because I respect games and developers and they deserve money for making awesome games.

Those people just try to justify something for nothing, plain and simple. It's not "morally correct" it's not "righteous" it's not "providing a service", it's stealing, don't pretend otherwise.
