@stipey I'd say no, unfortunately. First off, you know there are 3 Micro Macro's? Be sure to get all 3! As for this game, I'm making my way through it but I just can't recommend it. Main issues: 1. The story is too complicated, unnecessarily so. No need for this long, drawn out connected story. 2. The controls are horrible. Too sensitive and movement is jerky as a result. I haven't even checked options to see if I can change this, I've just gotten used to it. Even if so, there standard settings are awful. 3. Zooming in and out is terrible. Don't know why you are limited to settings so far apart. Let it just be fluid and let me zoom to any amount I want. 4. Zero voice acting. For a game with so little animation, the LEAST you could do is add in quality voice acting, especially given there's only ONE PERSON TALKING, and often times reading what they say is very important. 5..... well, that's enough, isn't it?
Sorry all. I was so hyped for this too. I can't believe the price on this at launch is so high, and that a physical copy runs you $45 CAD. That's insane.
I can't believe Switch Lite sells so well. That's crazy. I wonder what percentage of those buyers are getting it as a second switch system in their home. Surely it can't be their primary switch....
This game is a TOTAL rip off of MicroMacro. That said, it's very good. I'd give it a 7/10 as it's exactly what I expected. It honestly could have gotten a 7.5 if they simply added some voices to narrate the dialog, which is NOT asking a lot. Frankly, it's incredible they didn't do this. If you want tonstand out from the MicroMacro boardgames, give me a more engaging experience. Perhaps an update will add voices, as well as some DLC to make it more worth the price. I don't regret my purchase, but I wouldn't recommend it at this point without voice-overs.
Can we stop hiring high school kids to make these games? They are so low quality, it's embarrassing. Every time I see a Transformers game announced I get excited, and then immediately disappointed.
The first game may be my favorite game of all time. It came out of nowhere for me and everything about it was so cool. NightSchool then slapped us all in the face with the garbage that is After party, but I'm praying they don't screw this up. Day one purchase for me and I'm hoping I don't regret it.
I have no idea why anyone would pay for the expansion pass with this SLOW of a rollout... just not worth the money right now. You can get amazing deals on eshop games all the time and they provide far greater value than these... Spiritfarer is $5!!! Go get that if you haven't.
I hate what they did with the capture animation. It's so bad. For that alone it's a pass. Not enough done to warrant another playthrough. Expensive price for it, too. I've got Wargroove if I need to scratch the itch.
Crime O'clock looks EXACTLY like the board game called Micro Macro... who's first set is title Crime City... but they aren't related???? Someone definitely took quite a bit from the other... pretty crazy.
The multi-player is FRIENDS ONLY?!?! Am I missing something??? This is horrible and I had no idea that was the deal when buying it!!!!! What a scam if so... beware. Good game, but I hate games that do this...
Platinum Games already annoyed the hell out of me with the way they ran the Wonderful 101 kickstarter campaign and all the debacle there. Now this? No. I'm done with them as a company. Won't support them any further. There are so many indie companies that work so hard and deserve recognition and money. I'll spend it there.
@MojoBones Thanks for making such an awesome game!!!! I can't stop playing it!!! Right down my alley and hope it does well for you!!! I'm a fan! Learning so much as I go with it!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Great game and thanks to this review I found out about it! Purchased immediately at 20% off and love it! Haven't had issues with weak AI. Only minor issues is that load times can be a bit long, you can't edit your deck whenever you want in a run as you have to wait to get to a base, and.... THE HOME SCREEN ICON IS ATTROCIOUS!!!!! - They gotta fix that. Yuck.

This is SO ANNOYING that you can't use single joycons to play the games, nor use the NES controller.... needs to be updated ASAP.
