I bought this game day 1, and haven't regretted a minute of it. I absolutely love going into it occasionally and messing around. it definitely became easier once they patched it and started giving away lives generously.
@Tsurii897 I'm right there with you. As much as I love Smash and MK8, Hyrule Warriors has been played more than any game I've ever owned, including actual Zelda titles. GOTY imo.
I don't see how anyone could complain about this week's downloads. Hyrule Warriors DLC, discounts on great games. I'm super pumped to go home tonight and start downloading.
@Dipper723 Well, I don't think anyone is going to buy games just to get these. If you paid $60 for 3 games, now you can get another game for free. This is icing on the cake. When looked at as cake, you are absolutely right.
@unrandomsam Not sure how it works honestly. I know I got Fluidity from Club Nintendo Rewards, and I'm pretty sure that's not published by Nintendo or anything.
@tysonfury When you go from the WiiU menu to the Wii menu it asks if you would like to have it on the Gamepad and tv, or tv only. Technically you can play everything in Wii mode on the gamepade, just not with the gamepad controller itself. That kind of sucks, but at least they made it so you can use the display for off tv play of sorts.
@unrandomsam Either way, people shouldn't let a score sway their decision to buy. The words in the review should. I can't stress enough to people to just read the review and say screw the score. For that reason alone, I like Kotaku's review methods the best, and find it despicable that publishers give bonuses based on metacritic scores instead of sales. That's a crime if you ask me.
I don't think anyone understands that a 7 is GOOD. It doesn't have to be a perfect experience. Every game has flaws, even Zelda games. Don't be afraid to try something different.
I was on the fence until I read this review. Thanks for the great review. It's on Club Nintendo right now so I will definitely be downloading this tonight. I actually just beat Kirby's Adventure last night for the first time.
The only thing that could save this, would be if it weren't three guitarists. Have the Guitarist/Vocalist, Bassist, and the drummer can slice up Zombies with her cymbals. It took me watching this trailer to realize that. I'd be surprised if the devs didn't think of it, too.
@Krambo42 I think you're missing the point on this. Prices on old product depreciate over time. In some rare cases, like cars, they hold or appreciate in value. For Real Estate, old houses that aren't updated are worth less, and sometimes significantly less. Electronics depreciate more drastically than most other markets. Also, think about how these games compare to what else is on the market today. I can spend $10 on a brand new, very deep experience like Pushmo that will last for 10+ hours, or I can buy two VC games that both last me 20 minutes (excitebike, donkey kong, donkey kong Jr., Balloon fight, etc. etc.).
Seriously. This is my feedback every time to club Nintendo. NES: $1 SNES/GBA: $2-3 N64: $5 Gamecube $7-10 I have not payed full price for a VC game once. I enjoyed the 30 cent promo, and have been enjoying free games through club Nintendo since.
I was actually shocked at how awesome the selection of games was this time around. Last year there wasn't much variety. Honestly, it's free stuff. I don't think anyone should be complaining. I'm grateful they are rewarding customers with some of their latest releases.
@sketchturner What exactly are you waiting for to buy the system? Super Mario 3d World is amazing, as well as Lego City, Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, Sonic All-Stars Racing, Mass Effect 3, Disney Infinity (Guilty Pleasure), Super Mario Bros. U, Toki Tori 2, Trine 2, Nano Assault Neo, Bit.Trip Runner 2. I'm just constantly confused why people don't think there are great games for the system, or are waiting for something specific. Don't take my reply the wrong way, I am genuinely interested to know what you're waiting for.
I'm actually more excited about Yarn Yoshi than anything else. I know I'll love Mario Kart and Smash, but Yarn Yoshi looks different and surprisingly refreshing.
Hate to say it, but I don't think Pikmin 3 should be on this list over Wonderful 101 or Lego City. Both of those games are way more fun. Maybe no one remembered that Lego City came out this year?

Re: Video: This Is The 3D Sonic Game We All Truly Want, But May Never Have
I loved the direction of Sonic Lost World on WiiU, and Sonic Generations on other consoles. This would be a mistake to go in this direction.
Re: Weirdness: If You Have Five Days and 14,000 Toothpicks You Can Recreate the Super Mario Bros. Title Screen
And you thought going to Florida for spring break meant you were crazy? Yep.
Pretty cool, though.
Re: Poll: Which Characters Do You Want to Win the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot?
I voted for Ryu. Great diversity with hand-to-hand combat and ranged attacks. Fighting with Ryu in a crazy setting like this would be fun.

Re: Trailer Shows Off Today's First Batch of Hyrule Warriors DLC
I was on the fence, but decided I'm going to get the season pass after seeing how extensive this DLC is.

My mind definitely went to the wrong place when you see Master "", and Crazy "". I'm a terrible person.

Re: Feature: HD Remasters That Would Be Perfect for Wii U
Luigi's Mansion and/or Super Mario Sunshine bundled together as HD remakes. That is all.
Re: Review: Frederic: Resurrection of Music (Wii U eShop)
The replayability comes through difficulty levels. That's about it from what I've heard. I'm still very much on the fence with this one.
